Sun Rocks Hotel

We stayed in the "Experience Room" for one night at a cost of $450 Euro. The room was very nice, with a sunken bed and jaccuzzi right next to a set of windows overlooking the sea. Personally, I though that the room was not worth the price. The service was excellent. Our stay was overshadowed, however, by a different kind of "Experience". As most of the previous reviews the views are overwelming and most of the staff is very nice, my problem is with the room which we received and this with a 4 night booking. We were told that they would try to move us but finally ended up spending the 4 nights in a tiny room with no view a front door that measured no more than 5 and 1/2 feet and a bed cover which should have been replaced six years ago, the smell was terrible. My husband and I just spent 5 nights at Sun Rocks as part of our honeymoon. I had very high expectations for Sun Rocks based on recommendations and their web site and I can honestly say that it was even better than I imagined. The staff and service at Sun Rocks is second to none (especially Maggie, Theodore, and Aretti). We stayed in a "residence" and it was great. My wife and I stayed at Sun Rocks for 6 nights at the end of August 2005. This trip was very important to us, as we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. We and our best friends stayed at Sun Rocks for 4 nights in early August. My husband and I were upgraded to the Sun Rocks Experience room (overbooking, shortage of studio rooms???) which, with it's black marble jacuzzi and huge panoramic viewing window, was absolutely excellent. From now on all hotel experiences will be measured by that of Sun Rocks. It is truely an experience in of itself. As we arrived we were met with welcoming smiles and two ice cold glasses of champagne. We stayed at the Sun Rocks for several days at the end of June. The experience was the best I had ever had at a hotel. The service was outstanding, the staff incredibly hospitable, and the food service was the crowning jewel of the stay. Breakfast everyday is included and is a very elaborate, expansive selection. If you are looking for very romantic and quiet resort with the best service possible go no further that Sun Rocks. You have great accessibility to Thira and the Island. We spend four marvelous days at Sun Rocks. Santorini and Sun Rocks is for the physically fit and those who can are not afraid of hiking and stairs. If you go, take advantage of Theodore’s wine tasting, it should not be missed. We will definitely be back!!!!

I cannot stress enough how gorgeous this hotel and it's settings are. If you are a couple in love this is the place to go. Enjoy the sunset from your own private balcony (in my case I had the last room of the hotel which meant it was very private as no one would wonder down to where we were). Just an amasing small Hotel.
