The public areas of the hotel are a delight as were most of the staff.
The dining room was very dreary (some candles may have helped) and the food was just OK! One waitress in particular was so surly and practically threw the plates on the table. Despite our best efforts, we could not get her to smile. But breakfast, which was served outside, was perfect and the lady serving it was delight
The room we were in was adequate although there was a lack of drawer space and only one broken chair plus no hairdryer. The bed and the pillows were hard and lumpy - but maybe that's what the Italians prefer. The noise from the nearby motorway was an issue, but was only really bad on one particular night
We did though on the whole enjoy our stay but sadly would not return
