We have been to the Levante Club hotel twice now. A lovely hotel and good food. The rooms are very spacious and we had no problems with noise. The pool is a good size and plenty sun beds. The staff were friendly too. The only draw back is the rubbish entertainment, but we had to laugh. The bars near the hotel are fine if you dont feel like venturing into town which can be a bit rough as some of the benidorm holiday makers leave a lot to be desired (namely, the brits). A taxi rank is situated outside the hotel so its really convienient and theres a supermarket over the road. All summed up, a great holiday.

Hotel was clean and rooms/bathroom were spacious. The staff were on the whole very friendly and an enjoyable time was had by my family group apart from the following.

Issues

1. Towels being placed on sunbeds at approx 8.30am and then the beds remaining empty until late afternoon/early evening and sometimes not even being used at all .

2. One of the group that I was with picked up an infection in his lips and when he consulted a local doctor was told that it could have been caught from the pool or the nearby waterpark (Aqualandia) as he treats this complaint regularly although talking to some of the other guests there has been a lot of cases recently from hotel .

3. The pool does not appear big enough to cater for all the people from the hotel should they choose to use it.

4. Some of the staff at the hotel appeared to be very biased towards the Spanish tourists staying there in preference to the other foreign tourists who were always served/dealt with after. (maybe a language barrier needs to be overcome with some of the staff)

5. There always seemed to be a problem with at least 1 of the 4 passenger lifts being out of order and the revolving front door which only worked when it wanted too.

The hotel is nothing special in its self. breakfast is ok and tea is poor as not alot of variety.

alot of english spoil it really. Rooms are quite large with separate shower cubicle in bathroom. rooms have air-con but no point as it doesn't make difference. good area. short walk to waterpark which was amazing. supermarkwet down road called maxi-dia. be careful to watch out for staff there as they are all ignorant to english. overall ok holiday but wouldn't go to same hotel again.

The rating of 3 comes from the location of the hotel, it was situated in a good area, close to everything and not a great distance to walk back at night.

I would like to say the negative points below while they should be taken into account, it did not stop us enjoying our holiday (the first without the children in 15 years - nothing was going to spoil it). Benidorm was brilliant, enjoyed every nightout in all the bars, including the tribute bars, the hypnotis at Valentines was especially good and the irish bar The Harp was a brilliant last night. We will be going back to Benidorm, with the children but to another hotel.

We only got stopped once by a time share tout, but our lack of enthusiasm put him off. The electronic shops are quite pricey. We forgot our speakers and went to buy some 20 euros for a set, which went down to 15 euros. we eventually found some in one of the smaller shops for 5.80 euros, in the UK you can buy them for as little as £3.

On arrival we were asked for £40 refundable deposit for breakages, something I've never been asked for before. The room was okay and generally clean (except the top draw of the dressing table - which was full of sweets, cotton buds and other non descript things). The TV did not work, and the shower while it worked it looked like it was going to break at any moment. We reported all these things - never sorted out in the time we were there. We had no problem with noise at night.

The first 2 days the sunbeds were all taken, but after that we always found sunbeds, though some of them had towels on all day and people never came to them, which was very annoying. The pool area was very slippery and I have never seen so many people fall and with quite a bang.

We did not have any children with us, but we did notice that the staff were quite short with the children and not friendly at all. The enterainmentment at night was very poor, especially for children and didn't start till quite late, or just never showed up. We only stayed for one night. We walked to The Ambassador a couple of nights and there entertainment was alot better and was geared towards children.

The FOOD - where do I start, the first morning I couldn't stop laughing, I'd never eaten anything so bad (or so I thought), how can you kill cornflakes or museli, it took me 3 days of courage to try the rice crispies, just as bad. The evening meals were no better, fried eggs in pasta sauce was one offering, everything was in some sort of sauce, so you couldn't identify it and nothing was labeled well. The soup was pot luck and usually not what it said on the menu. We did notice as the buffet shut down, the staff helped themselves and looked like they were taking it home. Which made us think it was just our taste in food. I spoke to quite a few people and they were of the same opinion. We went upto the LeVante hotel, which looked really nice. I spoke to people there and they were having the same problem with the food and said the children were struggling.

I stayed at this hotel for a week at the start of june and the hotel was BRILLIANT! it looks so much better than in the holiday books and you get so much more than what you pay for!

Some people have written reviews about the APARTMENTS and NOT the hotel! They are both totally seperarte and are not situated together!! So dont take any notice!!

The staff were really friendly, especially the hotels bars entertainment chap, who was ace! The pool area was lovely, had no trouble getting sunbed and no-one put towels on them either. Some days we didnt wake up till gone 10am and there would plenty left and in the right spots! There is a bar near the pool area that serves, ice cream, drinks, and snack like pizza and sandwiches.

We stayed half board, there is a dress code for men in the dinning area, no short sleeves tops and short also woman have to be pretty covered up, no wandering in your swimsuits! The staff did sent back people to get changed if they didnt fit the criteria! Breakfast was served in a buffet style with loads to choose from such as full english breakfast, bread rolls, toast, fruit, cerals with a selection of fruit juices! Food was great but the combination was the only was i could describe it was odd. for example roast potatoes and curry :S. It was served in a buffet style and there was lots to choose from, salads, fruit, currys, pasta dishes, roast dinner, soups, pizza, lasagne and many more! As you sit to the table a staff member came to take your order of drinks,in the eveining these are not free you do have to pay for them as you leave!

Bedroom are HUGE and clean, the bathroom is massive, with a bath that has a shower, a seperate shower, hair dryer, massive mirror toilet and a bumwash or whatever you call it! All room has a balcony overlooking the pool! The rooms are truely magical, its lovely to sit on the balcony and watch the world go by!

PLEASE NOTE: We didnt find any stairs to get up and down to each and everyfloor bar the emergency stairs which were not allowed to use them! So if you dont like lifts or have a phobia this isnt the place for you!!!!

When walking out of the hotel across the road are lots of bars (the noise cant be heard from your rooms) and furhter down there is a supermarket. when coming out of the hotel if you turn right and carry on walking down the road there are lots of shops down this road, there are signs for the beach which if you follow will take you down a road that is basically a strip of shops, lovely to pop in and out of to have a nosey! The beach is a 10min walk, for the elderly this may be abit of a mission as its a slight hill back to the hotel. The beach is lovely and if that where you want to be to get totally bronze as its boiling down there! But a gorgeous area!

The hotel has many activities, such as darts, tennis football (never heard of this before but the males of all ages enjoyed it). The was always a hotel entertainer walking around involving the kids with games to ensure that parent can relax too! Bingo is also played be careful if you win as they love to embarress you and wont stop until they have achieved this- but its all good fun!! Downstairs is a games room, with basketball, pool, table tennis and a little football table! Next door is the hotel bar that we spent alot of time is as is great fun! Their are two free shows each night such as the parrots at do different things such as ride a bike, bird and reptile shoes, micheal jackson look alike act, dancers there are alsorts! Their is happy hour from twice each night, and instead of in england where its cheaper, in spain you happy hour is buy one and have another free!! Bingo is also played inbetween entertainment and children are involved to call out the number and they learn abit of spanish too! If you win bingo you either win a free bottle of bubbly or 2 free tickets to the spa!

We didnt try the spa but heard it was great and on the last day we found out the gym was free! We were gutted we didnt take advantage of this as 2days of our holiday it rainied!

I could go on telling you how wonderful this holiday was! I shall definatly be returning! Its a holiday for all ages, whether you want to relax, adventure or party this is definatly the place! An amazingly built, clean and friendly hotel that you feel immediatly relax! Enough of me blabbing on, go and see for yourself, you definatly wont regret it!!!!!!!

The Levante Club Apartments are in a good location, and thats the only thing good about them. The staff were absolutely unhelpful or friendly always on the phone, I was ignored so many times I gave up and walked away. The pool area is very slippery, I saw several people slip over, one lady so bad she cut her head open. The entertainment is almost non exsistant with the childrens shows starting around 11 pm. The noise kept me and my family awake all night and we couldnt close the bedroom windows as the bedrooms didnt have air con. I also didnt like the fact that there were several groups of young men on stag weeks, they were roudy and intimidating, leaving San Miguel bottles all around the pool. I wouldnt consider going back for a second time.

My first visit to this Hotel was in June 2006, and absolutely loved it, so much so we decided to go back in 2007 and my parents came with us.

I had heard that this hotel was originally adult only; I was taking my then 5 year old son, so was slightly worried. I worried for nothing. The staff is great; the food was great and the pubs nearby were great.

When we returned home after our 2007 holiday, we decided in 2008 we would go somewhere else. But when it comes down to booking, we have decided to go back to Levante Club Hotel. We are so satisfied with the Hotel and its facilities we can’t face going anywhere else.

I would recommend this Hotel to anyone. The only downside is it’s only available via First Choice so you can’t haggle down the price!

Went on a family holiday to Levante club hotel, everything about this holiday was great.

The food, the hotel, the entertainment, the location, the weather. The hotel is walking distance to so many things, beach, Aqualand, mundomar, shops, and bars.

My children had the time of their lives and I got a well needed rest. There are things for kids to do all day and night. If you are going to Benidorm stay at the Levante club hotel.

We are going to Levante again next year booked early and got a great deal.

I booked a late deal with First Choice Holidays at the Levante Club Hotel in November this year, on first impressions the hotel looked even better than in the brochure, the twin bedroom was both spacious and clean as was the bathroom. There was a balcony that overlooked the pool and you could also sunbathe in the afternoon whilst relaxing and having a glass of wine.

The restaurant was excellent with plenty of choice and the staff were always helpful and friendly. The entertainment wasn't to everyone's liking but I noticed the week I stayed there that the majority were retired couples.

The location of the hotel is a little way off from where the beach and shops are and a good 25mins - 30mins walk from the old town, it didn't bother me because I enjoyed the exercise especially after all the meals I was having booked in on full-board, but there is an excellent bus service into the old town that runs frequently and costs only one euro.

The week I stayed in Benidorm the local Fiesta was on where there were carnivals and firework displays which presented a great atmosphere to the place, I enjoyed my week at the Levante Club Hotel where I managed to chill out and relax by the poolside with a drink, I would definitely stay at this hotel in the future.

First of all - the previous reviews are all mixed up. Some are reviewing the Levante Club Hotel and others are reviewing the Levante Club Apartments, both entirely different establishments, not in the same location and definitely not sharing facilities.

This is unfair to both. People looking to book the apartments may be expecting rooms to be cleaned every day and when they get there be disappointed at the size of the apartment and lack of 'hotel' facilities. People booking the hotel may be disappointed at not having the facilities that come with selfcatering such as a kettle or microwave.

As I said it is unfair to both.

I have not stayed at the Levante Club Apartments but understand they are excellent. I tried to book for October this year but unfortunately there was no availability for my dates.

I have stayed 3 times at the Levante Club Hotel. The rooms on each occasion were the most spacious I have seen in Benidorm in over 20 years of going there to mainly 4* hotels. I think between the bathroom, bedroom and balcony the area would not be much smaller in than that in my 2 bed flat at home. The balconies all overlook the pool and get the sun most of the day (at least in November which is when we have been). The bathrooms are excellent with 2 showers as well as the usual facilities. As well as shower gel, bubble bath, shampoo, cotton buds, cotton wool balls, there was sealed toothbrush, sealed comb and shoe polish.

Generally found the staff in reception, dining room and the maids friendly and helpful. The barman in the Piano Bar was bit surly. Can't commentate on entertainment as we did not stay in for it. It didn't sound like our cup of tea, or glass of bacardi.

If the hotel could be picked up and moved nearer the beach and cabaret clubs I would not stay anywhere else but I now have walking difficulties and it is just too far from the action.

It was the first time we had booked a four star hotel - mainly because the Tour Operator was offering a free child place. We were combining our stay with visiting family living on the Costa Blanca. I had reservations about staying in Benidorm - after watching the television programme - I thought it looked hideous!

The hotel itself certainly lived up to its 4 star image on first impressions. The lobby and reception areas were immaculate - a smart lobby bar was just inside the entrance. Comfortable seating scattered throughout. Efficient check in with English speaking staff.

We were housed in the 18th floor! Fun and games with the lifts as always - spent a lot of time riding up and down trying to catch our floor!

The rooms were spacious - despite it being a room for four - there was still adequate room to move around. Plenty of wardrobe space etc. The bathrooms were huge - 2 shower units, plus bath and wash basin - with a generous offering of complimentary toiletries, toothbrushes and shoe shine pads. A separate toilet/bidet off the main bathroom.

Rooms were kept very clean - maid service every day. Limited TV - but who goes on holiday to watch TV?

The pool area was housed on different levels - a sun terrace away from the main pool. Plenty of room around the pool - and we didn't suffer the usual summer fest of "sunbed reservation" - there were always plenty available.

The entertainment team (bless!) tried to make the best of a bad job - full of enthusiasm (with an obvious limited budget!) Then again, Benidorm has so much to offer in the way of entertainment - why worry?

There was an offer to hotel guests to use the spa facilities - 2 for 1 - but it seemed such a waste of glorious sunshine to be cooped up inside - although in fairness the facilities looked very smart.

My main gripe was the food - although beautifully presented - was very repetitive. Beef, fish, or pork in some shape or form every night! Out of a week’s stay - I'd say that we enjoyed 2 dinners. The breakfast were just the same unfortunately. I expect my husband to be fussy - but I'm usually happy to go with the flow - but even I struggled!

The area immediately across from the hotel was popular - several bars competing in price. Rachel’s Bar was serving 2 bottles of Budweiser or Heineken all day for 3 Euros. This was handy ahead of the hotel's own happy hour!

Usual essential facilities within good walking distance - supermarket, pharmacy, souvenir shop etc. Everything on that one main road really - if you didn't want to venture any further. Tacky shops were in abundance - but got better the closer you got to the Old Town.

New Benidorm was pretty tacky in general - British Squares show casing British tribute acts and foam parties etc. Yes, of course, Vicky was doing the rounds! It was like crossing into a different time - going to the Old Town - really worth a visit. It was equally busy - but felt a lot safer. Typically, Spanish families out with their children - eating al fresco. Tapas bar with large hams hanging and large baskets of olives etc.

We had a meal in the Queens Hotel here. A small and friendly establishment - serving a la carte meals at Mc Donald's prices - Google search - worth a look at their menu. I had the "Ultimate Prawn Cocktail" - prawns (of course) salmon and salad - with a surprise inclusion of caviar hidden under a lollo rosso! Enormous steaks followed - leaving room for delicious desserts. A three-course meal for six including wine and several rounds of drinks, and liqueur coffees - 143 Euros. A lovely treat!

We didn't bother with the Aqua park or Dolphin park - but there were lots of money off coupons available - everywhere! We did, however, make the trek to Terra MIttica - our kids are serial theme park visitors. Very busy, as you would expect in August - well set out and compact. Decent shaded areas for Mum! Again - lots of money off coupons around the resort - offering as much as 12 Euros off per person. Worth a visit - and easily do-able in a day.

Would I go again? Possibly.... although I would look for a hotel nearer the Old Town - and avoid the Brit end like the plague!

The apartments were unclean as was the pool. Safety issues pointed out to rep and hotel staff but nothing done.

Only 2 nice staff in the complex the rest were in need of customer care training. The rep promised to get things done to rectify issues and did nothing.

The complex is an accident waiting to happen and no one cares. The best part of my two week stay was COMING HOME.

Me and my husband booked as a late deal holiday and we got everything we paid for!!

Food- The food was very good and there was a huge variety of all different kinds of foods there is food for everyone!! And plenty of it!!

Rooms- The rooms were basic but were very clean!! They changed our towels and cleaned our rooms every third day and changed our bed sheets once every week. The bathroom was very clean too also they were quite small but it didn’t bother us.

Entertainment- Me and my husband thought the entertainment wasn’t that good in the hotel. But there were loads to do outside.

Weather- The weather was absolutely great it was roasting hot.

The only down side to the hotel was that there were stag nights and hen nights at night which we couldn’t get sleep as we were woken at early hours in the morning as they were making lots of noise coming in drunk!!

Overall we had a great time!! And would visit out of season next time !
