Have been to Zeus villas twice now. First time in 2006 stayed in top floor on villa nearest the sea. Second time top floor of the other one. Both were equally as good.
Great verandas wrapping around the building so you can chase the sun or shade around. Furnishings good. Spacious feel to the rooms exept bathroom which was somewhat dated. I did think that they could do with a good lick of paint to refresh them.
2 or 3 minute walk down to beach which is very good.
There was a new taverna opened up since 2006 which is walking distance and reasonable. There are loads of eating places in Koroni itself if you dont mind a 5 minute drive or you can get a taxi if you can find one.
the supermarket on the road to Koroni is very good, closed on Sundays. Several bakeries in Koroni itself.
Further afield, visit Pylos, Methoni and others for good castles and ruins. Another must is Naverine Bay which has a fantastic beach (no facilities) and a hard walk up to casle ruins.

Went to Zeus Villas, Koroni last week in September 2007 and stayed in the top apartment nearest the sea.
Overall a very nice holiday with Simply Travel. Weather good all week.
Good:
Apartment has fantastic views of the sea.
Terrace all the way round the apartment - sun or shade all day.
Nice high ceilings.
Fly screens on all doors and windows, so you can have a breeze with no mozzies or wasps. Saw one mozzie all the time we were there.
There are two or three tavernas within walking distance. Two are reached by going down onto the road and turning right. First one OK, second one as the road begins to curve into the mountains very good, with nice food, views and a pet rabbit hopping around.
Nice pool.
Turtles nesting on the beach - saw tracks going into the sea.
English language films on a couple of channels when you get back from dinner. Aircon in the bedrooms.
Koroni itself quite nice, though end of season and therefore a bit quiet. Several good quayside tavernas
Bad:
It's a fair way from Koroni - about a 10 minute drive. You won't be strolling into the village for dinner or nipping in to get a loaf in the morning. You can walk in on the beach, which takes an hour and then get a taxi back. You will probably end up driving in and not drinking.
No cushions on the poolside beds.
Bed a bit hard.
Overall, I'd recommend it if you get the apartment we got and the distance from Koroni doesn't bother you. Other people were staying in one of the other apartments, and moved into ours the moment we left.

Stayed in August this year. Villas are in a lovely picturesque location with magnificent views to the sea (stayed in the second villa, ground floor).
Facilities are very good and the air con was very welcome. Much to see in the surrounding area of Messinia - ruins and some great beach. Always nice to come back to the pool to cool off at the end of the day.
Only downside this August - there were some "permanent" residents in the ground floor first villa - some labourers working in the area and although you didn't see them during the day there were about 7 people staying in the apartment for 4. They had a day off on a Sunday and I think took advantage of it also being transfer day as they took over (with additional friends) the whole pool and barbeque area.
Not sure it is appropriate to have "permanent" residents in a location that we - and I am sure everyone else staying there at the time - booked for peace and quiet.
Having said that - we would return to the villas and would hope to find them full of like-minded holidaymakers if we do!
