Fantastic (apart from the mosquitos)
from Mahocky
We stayed at the Sea Club for two weeks in July 2008 in a one bedroom apartment in Block D. Having read some unflattering comments online regarding Block D we were a little apprehensive when we collected our key to see our room number was D307. We needn’t have worried. Some people have complained that block D is away from the rest of the complex. It is, but that can be a good thing. If we ever return to the Sea Club we’ll ask for an apartment in Block D again. The main bar and entertainment area is a 3 or 4 minute walk away, so if you want to get away from the music and the crowds for a bit, you can. The other blocks from what I saw are in the middle of everything. Our apartment was a good size with all the things you’d expect including fridge, cooker and tv with English language channels. A nice bathroom and balcony too. The rooms are constantly cleaned by friendly staff. The apartments are pretty much on top of each other so I guess if you had noisy neighbours then that could be a problem. However, there were six different families in our group and it was never an issue for any of them. We also read that you have to cross a busy road to get to the pool in block d. Nonsense! You have to take three or four steps across the un-busiest road you’ll ever see. The pool is lovely with a bar and restaurant and of course as a guest at the Sea Club you also have access to the other 3 pools in the complex. The entertainment in the main bar is top quality and there’s a show on seven nights a week. It takes less than 10 minutes to walk down to the busy town area of Playa de Alcudia and here you’ll find all the usual shops, bars & restaurants. Another 5 minute walk and you come to one of the best beaches I’ve ever seen. It’s huge! I’d highly recommend walking along the beach to Alcudia Port. It’s about a 15 minute walk. Alternatively a taxi costs only about €5. Alcudia Port is a beautiful area with classy boutiques and restaurants and a spectacular view of the harbour which is filled with boats of all shapes and sizes. On the negative side there is a problem with mosquitoes in Alcudia. A real problem! There is a network of canals in the area and the stagnant water attracts them. Most of our party got bitten frequently. A few of us didn’t get bitten at all but I think that’s something to do with your blood type. All you can really do is buy a good mosquito repellent, put it on and hope for the best. That aside, we had a great time at the Sea Club and we got to see some other parts of the island too. All the usual excursions are available and reasonably priced. Water parks, quaint old towns, etc. The Sea Club is a beautiful place and we hope to return.
Sea Club - Magnifique!!!

My husband and 2 children (10 and 8) are just back from the Sea Club Apartments in Alcudia. These apartments are the best apartments we've ever stayed in. There was nothing I could find fault with. We stayed in Block C which is definitely the best block as it's not in the middle of the entertainment, yet not far from it. Also the pool area is much greener. We had a huge green area outside our apartment where my son could play football and volleyball and for smaller children, there was a huge sandpit with loads of toys for them to play with, climbing frames and swings also. The entertainment at night was phenomonel. The team worked so hard and were just brilliant. The Sea Club is on a quiet street yet the town only about 5 mins walk to the right of the main entrance. If you go left out of the main entrance, the beach is about 10 mins walk away and it is THE most beautiful beach in the world. The beach will lead you to the port which is fabulous. We visited the Hidropark and it was ideal as it's not massive, therefore we didn't have to be going to all the slides with the kids, we could see them from where we sat at all times. I would highly recommend the Sea Club for anyone with a young family. I WILL BE BACK!!
Mosquitos ruined an otherwise good holiday
from OnceBittenTwiceShy22
Stayed for 1st 2 weeks of June, family of 5, kids aged 5, 3 and 7 months. Accommodation was basic, small given the number of us, but cleaned every 2nd day. Staff were all nice and helpful, kids club and entertainment reps worked hard and did a great job. Pools were nice, beach was best. The main problem we have is with Alcudia, rather than this resort, in Sea Club you are surrounded on 3 side by canals, which are full of standing water. The mosquitos couldn't wish for a better breeding ground. They were everywhere ! we spent the time covering ourselves in repellent, and keeping the apartment doors and windows closed. We couldn't sit outside without worrying about more bites. Despite our best efforts all of us ended up with bites, and as I sit here writing this review a week after getting home, we all still have visible scars/swelling from the bites. If your going I would recommend investing is good repellent, plus multiple plug-ins for your rooms and if you've got little ones, netting for their buggies. For this reason alone, we won't return to Alcudia, shame really as all other aspects of the resort were quite pleasant.
Fantastic....

We had a fantastic time at your resort. It was a surprize holiday that my boyfriend took me on for my birthday. We stayed at block C just by the pool and found the location ideal. The entainment was excellent and the food was very reasonable. I thnk what made our holiday was the time of year we picked as it was just hitting the peck season and the amount of people at the resort was just right as with the weather. We would recommend it to any families that are thinking of going on a family holiday as the kids all seemed to be having a ball. So i can think i can speak for both connor and myself that it was FANTASTIC. Amy
Great Location, Nice family hotel
from McGintyDerby
We stayed for one week at the Sea Club apartments with our six month old daughter. I thought the hotel was great for a 3 star and was perfect for a fun family holiday. The rooms are clean and spacious and the kitchen has a microwave and kettle, handy if you have young children. There are three pools to choose from and none of them were ever crowded. We went out most nights as three minutes away are lots of restaurants and bars which all cater for children. The beach is georgous and only a five minute walk. For a change of scenery the port with more up market bars and shops is only a 20 min walk. Overall i think alcudia and the sea club is great and i will no doubt be going back.
Great Holiday
from SPMSurrey
We had a great 2 weeks in block 'c' at the Sea Club apartments. Myself, husband and two children, 6 and 3. It was our first package holiday, courtesy of First Choice and wont be the last! The apartment was spacious, clean and with all basic kitchen equipment provided and also a drying area off the bedroom, which came in very handy. We had a ground floor apartment, with a great sheltered terrace and a table and chairs, located to the back of the complex, close to the childrens club, but with plenty of grassed areas, sand pits and a swimming pool for each block meant that even though this was a busy time of year, there was plenty of space for everyone. The entertainment was good, our 6 year old particularly enjoyed the illusionist/magic show and the entertainment was suitable for all ages. Also the food on the complex was good value and you could 'take away' anything on the restaurant menu. The expansive beach was only a 15 minute stroll away and there were plenty of shops and restaurants close by, some of which had playgrounds for the kids, so that they can play whilst you're waiting for your food! Also the Shrek bouncy castle/slide located next to a playground on the waterway was a big hit with 20 minutes play for 3 euros each child. The air conditioning was also a great benefit, if maybe too efficient; we had to leave it off overnight, as it became too cold in the apartment! All in all, we can't wait to return to Sea Club.
wonderful

we went here from september 30th till october 14th it was our second year running to the same place. i found the sea club by chance on the first choice web site last year and we loved it so much we came back again. There is only one problem with Alcudia becaus it is surounded by marsh land and it rains at this time of year THE MOSQUITOES! almost every one got bitten, but thanks to the very fiendly pharacia staff we soon got sorted with Alerlisin (antihistomine) and Detraine (skin cream) the apartments are sacious and well equiped with kettle, toaster, fridge and microwave but no tv so we took our portable dvd player. There is a great bar just ove the raod called Cheers where the kids are entertained all night for free and the drinks are resonable too. There is also a large super market (near the Jupeter- saturno hotels and the warter park) that is half the price of the spar on site. if we go back to mallorca we would definatly use these apartments again.
Fantasic, Superb Better than the first time we went
from baileys33
I first stayed at the Sea Club in June 2004, and it was a fantastic holiday then, I went bravely on my own with my 2 children then aged 13 and 11 and a friend and her daughter aged 11. Unfortunatly my hubby couldn't go due to work commitments. On our return we were determined to go back with my hubby in tow this time. So we booked up and flew out 29th Aug till 5th Sept 06. And we wasn't dissapointed again. We had a nice apartment, nice quiet location, kept clean by the friendly maids. The entertainment on site is either really really good or a bit dry. They cater very well for the little one's but for those aged 12 and over its a hit and miss. There isn't really any thing for them there to do.There is a pool table and a couple of games but that's it. The Rep's are very good at what they do, friendly , very good singer's and dancer's, great with the younger one's but my 2 now aged 13 and 16 found that they didn't really offer much for their age, and they did get a bit bored in the evenings. But they still love it there. Would be good if they provided a bit more of a variety of entertainment for the Teens. We met lots of very nice freindly people while we were there, and some of the staff that was there when we first went was still working there - and they remembered us!. The apartments are basic - very basic, so go prepared. We had to ask for a kettle as there wasn't one there, and there was only 1 saucepan and exact number of everything else- 4 knife's 4 forkes , 4 plates etc. However it is very reasonably priced out there you probably won't need to do any cooking. Do take extra towels ouwith you, there were days they never left us 4 so we had to make do with sharing or using our pool towles, and the maids speak very little English so it was quite hard to tell them we needed more Towels etc. Make sure you put your dirty towels in the bath or they won't exchange them for clean one's, and they don't come every day so find out what days they won't be cleaning. We bought Bread, cheese, ham, crisps cereal etc on site and it was no more expensive than over here. Even though it was still height of the season and the place was full, it never felt like we were sardines around the pool, or in the club, plenty of room around the pools - there are a few so you felt spaced out. The beer and other drinks are average price, but we bought spirits out there and took that to the club and just bought soft drinks, alcohol is way cheap - so stock up!. I thoroughly recommend you go into the town 5 mins walk from the Sea Club, the food is fantastic. There is a kebab/steak house near by where they cook the kebabs on the BBQ outside the restaurant and they are HUGE and lovely - we went 3 times! The restaurants in general are nice, polite friendly staff, who chat away to you. The beach is about 10 mins away just turn left outside the apartments and walk straight up, mind the mad road as they don't always stop on the crossing!, but the beach is lovely and clean, plenty of sun beds if you want to hire them 3 euro's for 5 hours i think. All in all I thoroughly recommend Alcudia it's a beautiful place, friendly people with great restaurants. However it is a quiet place, if you want clubs don't go there they are in Palma - not to far and they are great. And bear in mind there isn't much for the Teenagers, but for younger kids it's great. And good for couples. The night before we flew home my 16yr old Re-dislocated her knee, the Rep at the Sea Club was very helpful. We had front seats reserved on the coach and the rep on the coach was superb. He got us a wheelchair and helped us to the checking in desk, where we went straight to the front (thank goodness as the queue's were a mile long), we were then taken straight to the plane and were given front seats there (her knee was dressed in a heavy wad of bandages and could'nt be straigtened).and were given full assistance at stansted airport. Without their help it would of been a nightmare journey home. If you go have a wonderful time , we will defintaly go back in the very near future. Have Fun!
Would definatley recommend

Very clean hotel with 4 really good pools. Staff were polite. Would recommend the Sea club Restraunt, for 15 Euros you can have a 3 course meal with Wine/Beer and eat and drink as much as you like. After reading other reports i was worried about being put in Block D as Sea Club is made up of 4 Blocks. I was in Block D and was overlooking the pool. It was just as nice as the other Blocks, if not better as it was the quieter of the blocks as it is set further away from the late night entertainment. It takes about 15 Mins to get to the Beach. I would recommend the Anaconda boat trip for around 50 Euros which takes you out for about 5 hours and you can go snorkling with the fish. This includes lunch and drinks. Sea Club is situated in a nice area with canals running around you. It is near to the beach and shops etc, but not so close that you hear all the noise. I would definatly go back again Sarah
An excellent Easter break
from A TripAdvisor Member
I would thoroughly recommend the Sea Club in Alcudia to anyone, but particularly at Easter as it was so quiet, with no problem getting a sun lounger around the pool. We learned from some of the staff that the hotel didn't normally open until May (as does quite a lot of the resort), so the entertainment was still being rehearsed, but had started in earnest by the end of our week. Although it is a large complex, it is spread over a good size area with lo-rise apartments and a variety of pools to choose from. Our room was very close to the reception area / bar / and restaurant, and although there was some noise from the "rehearsals" it was not excessive and was generally finished by 11 p.m. The room itself was fairly standard, and was cleaned (well) five days a week. We didn't spend a lot of time inside though as Alcudia is a large resort split into three distinct areas. The Sea Club is at the quieter end of town, but this has its advantages as prices in shops and restaurants tended to be a good bit cheaper than around the marina. However. the marina is definitely the place to go if you want to indulge in some serious people watching as you enjoy a drink or a meal. Alcudia also has its 'old town' which is surrounded by the walls of an ancient fort and really gives you a good experience of traditional Majorca. The beach is about a ten minute walk with a busy road crossing on the way, but it's sandy and safe and stretches right around the bay, so there's plenty room to spread out. Travel on the bus anywhere in Alcudia for 1 Euro. My daughter is six years old yet the bus drivers never charged for her. A taxi at night from the marina area to Sea Club was just under 4 Euros. Finally I've got to say that the entertainment staff were first rate, and kept all the children well amused during the kids club activities. I certainly have no problem recommending this hotel and will certainly go again.
Just returned from a family holiday at the Sea Club Apartments in Alcudia, Majorca. We all had a fantastic time. The apartment we had in C section was spacious and very clean (the rooms were cleaned nearly every day) and one of the very clean pools was 15 meters from our... more
