Hotel Description:

Situated on the beautiful Lambi sandy/shingle beach and set in extensive gardens this well established complex is very popular. Kos Town with its wide selection of bars, shops, restaurants and discos is only a twenty minute walk, there are however numerous facilities within close proximity of the hotel.

" reasonably satisfied but ! "

Yes but there is a but and it is quite a big but ! the very ignorant receptionist who told us we could keep the room on till 6pm on the last day, until we went down to pay for it on the morning of check out . then we were told our room had already been allocated to a new arrival so after going down to pay 25 euros to keep our room on we were then told the charge would be 40 euros if they had one available .there was also a charge of 3 euros a day pp to hire beds around the pool.Crap food but nice hotel in a lovely complex with very ignorant staff .

Advice: ok but a long walk into kos town with a 7 euro taxi ride back.

Activities: paradise beach nr. kefalos is a must.

" beach holiday "

This was a lovely hotel in a lovely setting on the beach the rooms were basic but clean
food was poor often cold and if you managed to find a cup a breakfast you had to hold on
to it as they were like gold dust, dinning room was very busy.
For a 4* I could not believe they did not supply beach towel and unless you wished to
wear a wrist band and drink beer from plastic cups you had to pay for sun beds at the pool
and on the beach this was a first I have never heard of this anywhere else.
If thay wish to keep the 4* they will have to sort out these problems.

" Brilliant "

I stayed in an apartment at the Atlantis and I got what I paid for! The apartment was right on the beach, brilliant location, a walk of about 20 minutes to Kos Town which is a pleasant stroll. The sunrise is beautiful, it just seems to rise out of the sea, a must see experience. However, you have to get up early, which is not what you expect to do on holiday but people do just to see it. I'm looking at going back in June this year however I can't seem to be able to book the apartments, only the hotel!

Advice: You shouldn

Activities: None to speak of, lazy week away in the sun

" This hotel should be a -4 star with a... "

This hotel should be a -4 star with a health warning!

My friend and I stayed at the Atlantis Hotel for 1 week all inclusive. We stayed in a self catering apartment even though we were all inclusive, with no proper lighting, it was dark and dingy and very basic. Towels were meant to be changed every other day however this didn't happen, we even had to buy our own toilet roll! We had a narrow back door into the room with no french doors. I was diagnosed with Bronchitis on my 3rd day from the air conditioning. I also got food poisoning from the food in the restaurant that I only ate in once. I accidentally smashed a glass in the room and returned to my room later that day to find the maid had swept it under my bed. The restaurant was very hot, no air con, lots of flys, big queues and little choice of food.
We spent in total £600 on food outside of the complex!!! on top of paying £600 each to stay their all inclusive. Many guests contracted ear infections from the pool and you could not get a sunbed past 10am. Staff very rude and refused to serve a drink in the bar at 11pm after the person next to me had literally just been served.

It was the holiday from hell that I will never ever forget.

" This has to be the worst hotel in the... "

This has to be the worst hotel in the world. Fawlty Towers is more of a four star hotel.

There is no air conditioning in any public areas. The staff are so rude and unhelpful. The food is so bad that you need to eat out and the restaurant is full of flies.

Lambi is a dying resort that is half an hour’s walk outside of Kos town. There is very little shops and even fewer bars.

" I have never been to a hotel with... "

I have never been to a hotel with such rude unhelpful staff. There is no air con in the public spaces.

The food was fine but the restaurant was so crowded and hot it was unbearable to eat there. This is not a 4* hotel!!!!!!! As a all inc guest you were treated as a second class citizen. The only positive was the hotel was kept clean.

" If you are booking this hotel all... "

If you are booking this hotel all inclusive think twice. There is little or no air conditioning in the public spaces.

The restaurant is unbearable what with the heat, flies, and lack of staff to clear the tables.

The staff are some of the rudest people I’ve ever met. Only one bar is open during the day to all inc customers. You can't get a hot drink except at breakfast and 5pm at the pool bar.

The swimming pool was small. The hotel holds up to 900 guests. There is just not the space or staff to deal with them. There is next to nothing for children to do.

If you like the idea of paying for meals and drinks at home, then being treated as a second class citizen in the hotel, book now.

" Just returned from a week all... "

Just returned from a week all inclusive at Atlantis hotel. Had never been to Kos before and was a little apprehensive about the hotel but we had a great week there.

Room and the rest of hotel was very clean. Pool and entertainment excellent, the water aerobics each morning is such a laugh. Very few English at hotel but that didn't bother us.

The walk into Kos town is a bit longer than we had been told about 30 mins. All in all a great holiday.

" As we were on a late deal, not... "

As we were on a late deal, not knowing which resort or hotel we would be staying in, we believe we hit holiday heaven when we arrived late at night; upon exploration the following morning we were not disappointed. The bungalow we were in was well appointed and no more than a spit away from either the beach or pools. The main hotel was superb and appeared to have been recently refurbished; the food in the restaurant was first class and the staff could not have more helpful or pleasant. The one downside of Lambi is the beach, which is rather tatty.

If you stay here you will not be disappointed, but DO NOT book excursions through your tour operator; book independently with a local operator, (there is one twenty yards away). If you want to explore this wonderful island, hire a cycle for local trips and either a motor scooter or car for further a field. Wherever you visit on Kos, make Zia a priority, you will not be sorry. the people of Kos are amongst the friendliest it has been my pleasure to meet.

" Would recommend this hotel. We stayed... "

Would recommend this hotel. We stayed for a week at the end of September and was pleasantly surprised with what we got.

The room was very clean and the amenities there were great. Very child friendly but single people don’t let this put you off.

The male staff were a bit odd - grumpy almost but not enough for it to impact on your stay.

Enjoy - would recommend to a friend.

" Have been to the Atlantis apartments... "

Have been to the Atlantis apartments twice and are going again July 05. Two brilliant holidays great location right by the sea. Kos town is a 20 min walk or short (cheap) TAXI tide.

There are bars and restaurants 2 mins away and all the way on the road in to Kos town. The apartments are clean and the maid service is very good, two large pools and a 2min stroll for a dip in the sea. Entertainment in the complex is standard and done in several languages. If you don’t like people from other countries stay away as this is an international hotel. We have always found other visitors very friendly and the staff excellent. My daughter loves it hear (11 now) and there is lots going on around the pool if you want to join in.

Downsides, the beach at Lambi is a bit scruffy and small, but overall we love it hence our third visit planned this year
