Terrific location just off St Marks Square - we could see the top of the Campanile. Area is very upmarket and safe - the shop next door is Cartier!
Rooms, although small, were beautifully decorated with Murano glass chandeliers. Breakfast was served in the room at no extra charge, as the breakfast room was so tiny! However, we did find the breakfast very meagre, and tended to supplement it with another cappuccino and pastry in one of the wonderful cafes between St Marks and the Rialto (10 mins easy walk).
If you exit the hotel, turn left, and cross the canal bridge you come to the best mask shop in all Venice. The range is astounding, the staff extremely friendly and they pack the masks beautifully to survive the trip home.
