This is a really nice hotel situated...
9 / 10
Nov 2007, Mr D Southall

This is a really nice hotel situated within a great but quite resort.
The hotel offers fantastic food which is especially good for those who decide to go all inclusive.
Those of which are self catered, there is a small selection of nice restaurants around - but many of these are up to a mile away.
Also please note that there is a nudist resort located down the beach, which did not appear to be signposted! so if you blush easily, you might not want to stroll down!!!
This is a great place, but very quiet and not the place for people who want to have a lively time (although there are a couple of clubs).

Feb 2007, Miss C Hodgson

I went for 1 week all inclusive to this hotel, and would have no complaints.
The room was spotless; the food was good and all the staff extremely helpful.
When we first arrived the hotel was 80% German but all spoke English and were all lovely.
I would definitely recommend going to this hotel, and would definitely return! I went with my partner and wanted a quiet peaceful holiday and this is exactly what we got.

My mum posted a message below!...

Sep 2006, Miss S Whittaker

My mum posted a message below! Anyway, yeah I’m 13 and all the people here moaning about the hotel couldn't be more wrong. I thought it was the best holiday I've had in my life! The staff are friendly and helpful and speak excellent English, I managed to find tons of things I liked to eat, and that's saying something as I am a fussy eater!
We entertained ourselves, went down to the beach bar in the evenings and it was lovely, nice drinks and good live music, however all they seem to play (CDwise) is Shakira! By day, we were so relaxed, the pool is absolutely gorgeous, cools you down so quickly and there are a variety of activities on all through the day. The room was lovely, spotless and the maids even left us a couple of cakes one day!
All in all, a fabulous hotel and a lovely holiday. 100% recommended. (don’t listen to the moany people!!! if you want a relaxing week away then this is the hotel for you!).

Only went for one week and the first...

Aug 2006, Mrs V Read

Only went for one week and the first couple of days WASTED due to cockroaches in my bedroom at night, one morning I got up and trod on one EVENTUALLY moved after complaining for 4 days !!!!
The REP was useless the dinner organisation was absolutely horrendous we had to go 4 dinner at a set time, some were served drinks at there table others like ourselves were not !!!
We had to sit at the same table every night and it was a couple of minutes walk to the buffet area Food was ok. The pool was ok but there were Glass cups all around there was a tiny games room and half the time nothing was working correctly LUCKILY we managed to escape for a couple of days Oasis park was fantastic on the camels also Baku water park was very good but we didn’t get long enough there.
Entertainment was rubbish. There was nothing to do at night except for a few Shabby bars around the area. Also cockroaches in the showers next to the pool. TOO MANY GERMANS. Big cliff drop off the beach down to the sea with lots of rocks. Never go there again !!!

Just arrived back from Costa Calma...
10 / 10
Aug 2006, Mrs E May

Just arrived back from Costa Calma Beach Resort after a great holiday with my 13 year old daughter. We were concerned we may have made a mistake after reading the other comments about the hotel, but we needn't have been.
The hotel is great, not in the least shabby! It is spotlessly clean and very well maintained. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. There is a wide choice of food, both hot and cold, and all beautifully cooked and displayed. There is a choice of meat, fish, pasta, rice, pizza, chips, salad, vegetables and all cooked in front of you so you know its freshly prepared.
There are lots of sun loungers but if you want one by the pool you need to get down to reserve it at about 7am, as this hotel is full of Germans! Someone had mentioned that there were holidaymakers there who wanted an all over tan, however we didn't see any nudists at all.
The entertainment in the day was varied. There was water polo, volleyball, aerobics, aqua-gym, archery, darts, shooting etc. In the evening there was entertainment till about midnight in the hotel bar, and till about 11pm in the beach bar. We went to the beach bar every night and enjoyed the live music and singing that was on.
It was our first time in Fuerteventura so we weren't aware of the constant breeze. Its lovely in the day to keep you from overheating. In the evening though you may want a long sleeved top or light jacket.
I would 100% recommend this hotel for a truly quiet and relaxing holiday with good food and beautiful surroundings, and I'm hoping to go back again next year.

This was my first all inclusive...
8 / 10
Jul 2006, Miss L Lucas

This was my first all inclusive experience and I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a quieter holiday.
The food was fantastic even though there was a wider variety for German people, but still had steak and pork chops for people that aren’t very adventurous. Even though the pool is smaller in real life than in the photos there are 3 deep and 2 children’s to choose from.
The evening entertainment was a bit like Butlins but what they do is fantastic to say that there are only 5 people that put on all the entertainment at night as well as organise pool games during the day and run the kids club! The staff were all so helpful.

I asked the tour operator for a quiet...

May 2006, Mrs Dl Green

I asked the tour operator for a quiet hotel, what a shock, from the brochure this looked like a nice hotel, but it’s shabby and run down. They were spraying pesticide in the trees of the hotel grounds each day we were there! The pool area looked big in the brochure, very deceiving! It wasn’t at all.
The evening entertainment didn’t exist in or out of the hotel and the TV only had one English channel CNN news the rest was German to cater for the 95% German guests! The brochure said 316 rooms, there were over 600! If you include self catering, and all used the pools and relaxation areas!
On the good side, the staff were nice and the rooms were clean and the beaches were lovely, but go to the hotel either side of this one, The Palace Hotel **** looked wonderful! Or the **** sunrise hotel, don’t get caught out like we did. If you can afford the extra star take it.
Never go here if you want peace and quiet. And be prepared for 70% of people trying to get an all over tan, could be embarrassing if you have young children.

Mar 2006, Mr K R Douglas

There are two parts to this hotel the new part being Sunrise Costa Calma Beach Resort 4 star very nice and the second part being the Nautalous Costa Calma Beach Resort possible 3 star this is the one we were put in possible the first stage of the hotel, mostly German based with some English.
Entertainment for adults virtually none, starts at 9;30 pm and finished at 10;30 pm we ate at 7;30 pm kids disco finished at 8;00 pm food not to our liking as it was nearly all salad and cold rice with some hot food mainly cooked with fish or meat for the Germans taste, not much of a child’s menu at all this is not the best place for Brits on hols but the weather was great nice breeze plenty of sun be aware lots had sun burn even my feet!! Ow!!
Most rooms can see the pool or beach just, as to the design of the hotel for the food I would give this holiday a 3 out of 10 and for the beer was not the best 4 out of 10 pool and surroundings 8 out of 10.

An adequate hotel, clean with superb...

Nov 2005, Mr CA Earby

An adequate hotel, clean with superb food. The gym as advertised is just a run down 60's era multi-gym which is no longer multi due to bits broken and missing. This coupled with two clapped out exercise bikes does not in my opinion constitute a gym. Also one of the two miniscule saunas was out of action for 4 days out of my 7, and to add insult the sauna had to be pre-booked.
The entertainment is dire, and would just about entertain a greenfly for a few seconds, pitiful, both daytime and evening! This hotel is not for the sophisticated!
I have stayed in the south of the island before and there are better hotels at this price range.
In short it is good, but certainly not great!

Costa Calma Beach Hotel should be...
10 / 10
Oct 2005, Miss S Copeland

Costa Calma Beach Hotel should be rated 5 star. The whole place is spotlessly clean and they offer a wide range of facilities. Perfect for all ages as there is always something on for the kids but if you prefer to relax in peace then you can easily do so. Or you can take a dip in one of its 5 swimming pools or have a snack/drink in one of it's 5 bars. The entertainment is on every night and is worth seeing.
The choice of food is plentiful and there is something for everyone like meat, fish, pasta, salads, fresh fruit, soup, bread, and you can even watch the chefs prepare your food. The staff were amazingly helpful and friendly and always on good spirits. The rooms were equipped with hair dryers, satellite TV, nice furniture and a veranda with beautiful views. The golden beach was the hotels back garden. I'd 100% recommend this hotel to everyone. I liked the fact that you could walk down the street without being bothered by company promoters.
There was plenty night life and bars to chose from and lots of shopping centres near the hotel the furthest walk to a shopping centre was 5-10 mins at a slow walk. You should visit this hotel, you won’t be disappointed!
