" Yabba Dabba Doo - Fantastic "

The hotel is ideal for families. Its exceptional clean and the staff are fantastic and very enthusiastic at all times. There was a wide variety of food and in the steaks/kebabs etc were cooked in front of you, all very fresh. The rooms are small but very clean, new towels daily. The kids club was very well run the staff bring the kids back to you at the poolside when its finished, and the the kids eat in Betty's kitchen every evening with the reps. The shows are night are fantastic Grease, westlife and the reps do Fantasia with all the kids involved, very well organised. hotel is ideal located in Palma Nova right across the road from the beach, lovely shops etc.

Advice: Ideal for Families, very clean

" excellent "

We have just come back from staying in the Sol Mirlos, albeit we had booked the Tordos, this was closed due to lack of holidaymakers. Our family consisted of 6 adults and 3 children. This is our 3rd visit to the complex and since our last visit, in 2007, the pool area and stage has been revamped and is much better. The childrens facilities are excellent. The entertainment staff go all out to entertain all classes. The shows we saw were a tribute to the Beetles and another to Westlife, and the Greese and Lion King performed by the staff, all were very good. The hotel rooms were adequate and kept clean. The food was also very good, a good selection for all. The first time we went to this hotel they served draught San Miguel, this year won't mention the name of the beer but wasn't a patch on previous years. We had a good all round holiday excellent value for money. If the prices don't rise too steeply we will be going again next year. Due to the change of draught beer will give the holiday 9/half out of ten.

" excellent "

Arrived home yesterday from hotel Tordos.Excellent holiday if your looking to entertain your kids this is the place its like haven.Entertainment excellent ,staff never stopped always something going on.Swimming pool fantastic although you have to join everybody at 8am to get a sunbed. But you get this everywhere don't you?Food nice but repeated.Bar staff could have been friendlier.Room small but we only slept there so didn't bother us.2 min walk from beach which was lovely.10 min walk to Magaluf which is worth going as it has many shops, bars places to eat.My children are 6 and 4 and they loved it.I would definitely go again.

Advice: Lovely family place lots to do.

Activities: Kids loved marineland.

" Good family holiday "

Arrived at the Sol Mirlos at the end of July for 10 nights. Paid for all inclusive (16 Euros per day) since we worked out that we'd easily spend that on drinks and lunch. Found the food excellent and varied. Only complaints were that the Spanish must have a sweet tooth so even the milk tasted of sugar (came in a "SMilk" carton). The palce is kept spotlesly clean apart from the toilets on an evening after some kids decided to pull out all the tissues. Entertainment was very good with a mix from the miming "Comedy team" and live acts such as the Jackson Five, Beatles, Bejing Acrobats, etc. Plenty to do during the day such as walking across the pool on a sponge mat (great laugh for the kids), pool aerobics, spinning, boxercise, archery, shooting, etc.
The size of the two hotels gives good entertainment during our stay. You may want a smaller hotel if you prefer more privacy. I've noticed that some people complained about the noise in the hotel, but the hotel has zero tolerance to such behaviour. You only get one warning about noise and on the second complaint you are kicked out! As a result, we found it pretty quiet at night. Only other complaint is the lack of sunbeds (not too surprising in July/Aug) and a Germanic 8 o'clock march to the pool to reserve sunbeds...
I guess the acid test is whether we'd stay again - the answer is definitely yes.

Advice: Not overdeveloped location far enough away from Magaluf, but still within easy reach.

Activities: Eat mostly at the hotel, but Soller/Port Soller well worth a visit to travel on the trams/trains.

" not good "

stayed at sol tordos for two weeks room was clean but very small with view of wasteland and gas canister it was so noisy with kids running up and down the corridors asked to be moved. our friends had same problem and we all got moved to 8th floor bigger room with sea and pool views. There were 2 tiny lifts too small for the amount of people in hotel. We were all inclusive food was either over or under cooked very repeatative and not nice at all, resturant was cramped and very noisy you need earplugs. Staff cleared plates noisely and on the odd occasion you got a smile. Staff in general were miserable with no manners.Hotels tordos and mirlos had 2 pools which were much too small and sun loungers all crammed together no good for relaxing. Entertainment was outside but unless you got there very early there were no tables or chairs to sit down, entertainment team worked hard and did smile but too packed and not enough space to sit and enjoy it. To get a drink at the bar you had to queue and then get served by miserable bar staff who didnt know how to say thankyou.Overall the hotel is very poor far too small for the amount of people its catering for. The only good thing about hotel was the location minute from beach shops etc, it was our first time at this hotel and definetly our last.

Advice: nice resort good sandy beach plenty of shops restaurants and bars

Activities: natalies english restaurant good food

" Fantastic!!!!!!! "

We stayed at the tordos with our 18 month old son at the end of may. We were there during the school holidays and the kids were having a great time with the entertainers and they also entertain the parents. However if you dont like kids having fun i'd recommend you didn't use this hotel, we noticed some people pulling their face because kids were making noise, even though its a flintstones themed resort.
The food was good, they do well to please all tastes and there was a good selection each day.
The rooms were pretty much standard and cleaned daily. We were fortunate to get an end room which meant we had a huge balcony compared to the rest which gave us a pool view and sort of a sea view.
The swimming pools were good we mainly stayed around the tordos pool but there is a small pool for kids with slides and swings but it was very busy, to even walk around the beds was difficult as they were so cramped up. A good thing we noticed was each pool had a lifeguard sat by the side all day which gives you peace of mind when children are in and out of the water.
We didn't have a day at the beach due to it being so hot we didn't want our son out in the heat too long. We did go to the beach though it's only 2 mins from the hotel and the sea is lovely. We heard rumours about there being jelly fish in the sea but don't know if it was true.
Overall it was a fantastic holiday, it was our 1st as a family and we will definitely going back to the tordos, i don't think any family could have any complaints with this hotel.

" Best Holiday Ever "

Just returned from a 7 nigth stay at the hotel sol tordos in Majorca, We had the best holiday ever. The reception and bar staff at this hotel were lovely could'nt do enough for you. Food was really good and always something to choose from food ranged from salad to grilled steak and chicken, even beer, wine and soft drinks on tap some days popular food was repeated {this will happen at any hotel you stay in} All inclusive bar was open from 10.00-24.00 with loads on offer which included local sprits, beer, cocktails, bottled water, tea & coffee, soft drinks, ice cream & lollies. Rooms are big enough for what you need as its all inclusive we only used our room to sleep and get ready in they even had english T.V. Really clean and well looked after maids were in our room every day to change towels and bedding was changed twice in the week. Staff round the pool were fantastic and always offered guests to join in games. The hotel is popular with all age groups and they ranged fron parents with babies and children, couples and even stag and hen do's. Anyone who has given a bad review must have stayed in a different hotel as for us was fantastic and we will be returning next year with our children.

" great hotel "

this is the best 3 star i have ever stayed in!
as a disabled visitor with wheelchair, we requested a lower floor room.we were given a 1st floor room just outside the lift which was fantastic (no ground floor rooms). the rooms were small but had everything, including air-con, sat television, good bathroom with shower and lashings of hot water!(clean towels whenever you left them on the floor). cleaners in every day, so very efficient!
restaurant was run very well, food was excellent with plenty of variety, waiters very pleasant
public areas were spotless at all times, cleaners are given 10/10.
the only down side was some rather noisy barcelona visiting fans, who had just won the league (well we were all young at one time and they were only there for the weekend)
bar staff could have smiled once in a while and served the whoe bar instead of just at one end.
but all in all a great hotel in a lovely town.

Advice: smashing resort

" Great family Hotel "

Myself, partner and son aged one and half years old just recently returned from a 1 week holiday in Mallorca, staying at The Hotel Mirlos. I have to say that the holiday in all was absolutely fantastic. The hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly and welcoming, they couldn't do enough for us. The only reason I haven't rated this hotel 10/10 is because of the room sizes. However they were comfortable and clean and well maintained. The best part of this holiday was the energy and enthusiasm of the kids club staff. They worked hard from 10am-10pm to engage and get all children involved in activities, catering for aged 4 months to 12 years. They were unbelievale! The best kids club I have ever witnessed. My son is a bit of a cling on and only managed 10 minutes being away from us but they were wiling to try and used great distraction and fun activities to keep him happy. We did pottery, painting, sand building and many other things, all free of charge. They also had Flintstones characters the all the kids loved. It was great. I would reccommend this hotel to anyone with children as they will absolutely love it. We will definately be going back next year, without a doubt!!!

Advice: Lovely beaches, safe and friendly atmosphere but shops a little expensive.

Activities: Going to the beach. Walking in to Magaluf

" EXCELLENT!!! "

i could not fault this holiday in anyway at all. I went there last year june with 5 other girlfriends aged 17 to 21 we all had an excellent time. we chose all inclusive and for a 3 star, the rooms were clean all the time not too crowded and beds were comfortable!view was nice 2 and the staff were so delightful they all spoke english, all very helpful. the food did get slightly repetitive but there was still something for everyone ranging from soups salads chips pizza paella meats and vegetables, so you never went hungry especially as food was available until 10.desserts were amazing make sure you have the choclate cake! the drinks that were included could have been better but still did the job, i must say very generous shots! we was lucky to be there when spain won the world cup and the atmosphere was amazing!the only bad thing i'd say is you have to get up early to book a sun bed next to the pool however you are allowed to use all three pools including that of their sister hotel and the kiddy one which is heated! the location of the hotel is good for what we were looking for. the beach is just outside the hotel which is lovely and clean the sea felt amazing although did take some getting used to as the day we went it was rather windy. the strip of clubs in magaluf was a 10 minute walk away from the hotel so we managed to walk there to and from to save abit of taxi money!the clubs were great you did have to pay abit extra to get into the best ones but if you got chatting to one of the club promoters you can haggle good deals. each club closed at 6 and guaranteed to find your choice of music in one of them!entertainment in the hotel itselt is enjoyable id say more for kids as they act out disney films and musicals like grease but very well acted out, and we made sure we saw them all.excellent holiday loved it would recommend it for a clubbing holiday or families. i personally thought it was nice to be in a family orientated place during the day especially as your surronded by clubbers in the evening. the night we stayed in to watch the match was just as enjoyable, although slightly more sober! enjoy it!

" Brilliant!! "

This hotel is one of the best family hotels you could go to, but also caters for couples and groups of friends.
We went all inclusive with a 2 year old boy for 10 nights and it just wasnt long enough!
If you go all inclusive you are placed in the tordos and half board is the mirlos.
You can use the facilities at both hotels but must eat in your own.
The pools are plenty big enough, however you generally have to get up around 7 or 8 for a decent sunbed. The food is delicious and there was always a wide variety.
The Entertainment team are brilliant and work all day long, the provide activities during the day and put on shows at night, there are also some professional shows but to be honest the entertainment teams shows were the best. The only downfall is that the shows are the same week on week, if you're there for 2 weeks then the shows will be the same as the fist week but that didn't bother us as they were pretty good anyway.
The hotel is 1 street back from the lovely palma nova beach and 10 min walk from Magaluf.
I would definitely recommend all inclusive in this hotel as you wont need to buy a thing all holiday.
We enjoyed this holiday so much we have booked to go again in July this year for 2 weeks :o)

Advice: Ideal for anyone, very relaxed but also only 10 mins away from the hustle and bustle of Magaluf.

Activities: Fantasia Golf is a 54 hole crazy golf course and BCM Nightclub in Magaluf is Fab!!

" good hotel great locatoin "

we booked this hotel last minute , after seeing such good reviews for it , we thought not all this people could be lying and they we right , it s a great hotel all incl drinks to 12,a good range of local drink , only 2 cocktails, i recommend cherry brandy n coke tastes like cherry coke. , the hotel was not so busy as i guesss it does in high season an we didnt have any problems gettin a drink at one of the 2 bars, food 8 am - 11pm always found a table in the resturant , i can imagine it being a problem tho, as there is the only one place that searves all the food.there was a large selection of food, it did change slightly every day , ie pork n salomn one day then chicken and swordfish the next , but always chips pizza and nuggets etc, if you had little ones they would love this place due to the flintstone theme part of the resturant.the hotel lifts are a problem tho theres 9 floors to the hotel and 2 lifts, u can wait a while but the stairs are a killer if you on floor 5 or more. we had a view of the road and some apartments being built , we could have moved for a sea view but other side got the sun allday so we opted for the sun n bad view.
loction is brillent a 2 mins walk to the beach its really nice much better than any i ve been two in turkey , there is resturants every where along the promande, you can either get a cheap set 3 couse for about 12 euros or splash out n order anythin from snails to lobester, a really nice meal cost about 70 euros for 2. there is many things you can do in the day , there are enough day outs to do one every day for a few wks , we went 7 th oct, aqualand was close but best westen water park was open and it wasnt packed so hardly no waitiing, the weather was dry , the sun did shine but the clouds spolit it , i havent achived to get a great tan, but i did have a great holiday , i recommened this place to any one, there was a mix age range in this hotel , and in palma nova in genreal, i dunno if i would like to come here in high season , i can see it being a lively young no sleepin resort , better out of season for a more quieter relaxed holiday, couple aged 28 32
you do have a piece of paper that need to show the bar man in oder to get a drink but see it as you dont get a tan line around your wrist from the normal barlcets.
the evening enteraiment wasnt up to much, it was ok, if your a bit older as it s mainly live music and some nights a kids show, not my cup of tea , but theres nite shows in pubs close by which are free , just make sure you get out of the hotel its a lovely place
