went on holiday last year with 15 other members of my family, ranging from all ages from 3 years to 60 years, we all had a great time the hotel was situated in an excellent location, you have the beach on the door step and you have a small walk to the centre of palma nova if you like it quiet or you have a small walk to the centre of magaluf if you like it busy.
Th hotel in itself was great the pool entertainment was brilliant fun and the kids club was terrific for my young son he loved it, it'r right next to the pool so you can watch them all the time and are never out of eye view. the staff art the pool bar were a bit strict because of the all inclusive, I think they thought they were buying our drinks at times, but I suppose long hours and working in the heat can make the odd persons a bit daft. the pool was smallish but was not that bad to complain about, the food was brilliant there was something for everyone breakfast was cereals, fry, fruit, cold buffet, toast, crossants and much more, the snacks were also up to scratch as was the lunch and dinner, all the family were very happy with this. the sangria, local beer and local wine were served so you were divulging in the spanish spirit or if you prefered the spirits the british names were all there to choose from i.e smirnoff, bailys, and whyte & mckay for a wee dram.
We have now been at the hotel 3 years in a row and are booked to go back again next June, we feel that when you have young kids it's better with what you no, it's clean, good location, good food, good entertainment, and only 2.5 hrs on the plane, kids happy we are all happy.
Definatly recommend this to a family with kids.

We have been to this hotel 5 years earlier and had a great time so thought we would try again.
We took our 2 granddaughters this time and they loved the Flintstones theme. The youngest thought that dino was the best. The food was good and varied and our room was fine. Entertainment in our 1st week was really good and during the day the entertainment staff were a match for any we have seen before.
Great hotel for kids. Now for some down points, our room was on the back overlooking a tree and scrubbed wasteland fool of toilet rolls from rooms above. The pool area is small for the size of the hotel (what’s new) and last moan was that in our 2nd week the evening entertainment was the same as the first.
Final summary only go for 7-10nights and remember that this hotel is great for the KIDS big and small.

Went on this family holiday in October, we heard so much about this hotel we thought it would be ideal for our 4yr old. I was so disappointed our room was nice and clean but we had a put up bed for our son and a cot for the baby - that with 2 single beds we didn’t have any room at all! When my husband complained they could move us to a family room but at a cost.
The hotel is far too small for the amount of people, one day of rain and the hotel was chaos, the dining area couldn’t cope. The seats in the bar were so close together - once you sat you couldn’t get to the bar without asking the whole row to move.
The pool was too small for the amount of people that were there.
I’d hate to go peak season, the Mirlos was a fab hotel. I wouldn’t rush back to Tordos.

Just returned from a 7 day holiday at the Sol Mirlos Tordos. We went as two adult, three children. What a great holiday it was.
Food was great although a little repetitive. Brilliant for kids.
Pool is a little on the small side. The Mirlos hotel was shutting for winter that week so their pool was not accessible.
Lifts were very small for a 9 storey hotel but walking up the stairs gives you much needed exercise.
Entertainment was absolutely brilliant. Different every night. Adult activities like rifle shooting, archery, bowls etc during day. Kids 13 and over allowed to join in. Every one speaks English which is good because I only saw British people at the hotel. There were a lot of northern people. Games area and internet access was cheap for children entertainment.
Flintstone theme was brilliant for my younger child and even got my older two smiling.
I would definitely recommend the hotel to others. They are currently in the process of building another pool for the length swimmers and extending other pools. Stage area will also be refurbished as well inside entertainment area. Definitely going back next year.

Just returned from this Holiday, was fantastic and hot beach, lovely and clean hotel.
Food not so good - you had same for dinner as tea except with a different meat. Food was always COLD (maybe we should have used the microwave as spotted on 2nd to last day before leaving).
Should have wristbands as you have to carry a card with you all the time to prove you’re all inclusive. But all in all a lovely holiday and I would go back!

Went with my partner and 23 month old son for 1 week all inclusive. Hotel is very clean (cleaners always cleaning all day). Rooms are ok size (we had a cot in ours).
Around pool was not so bad as we went on 22nd so there were plenty of sunbeds. Pool is small but ok.
Food is good - excellent selection of fruit. Entertainment very good day and night. Not too far from an excellent beach. Would go again.

I would really recommend this hotel. We went on the first week in September and it was not too busy (not to many school children) which meant we had no trouble with sun beds.
We went down at 11 and still there were lots of sunbeds (although not right by the pool, these are gone as soon as the doors are open!). The pool is rather small for the size of the hotel, but we spent most of the time by the beach (it is so close we went back for drinks etc). The staff are friendly (bar staff can be a bit funny sometimes!)
The food was very good, lots of choice and all fresh and replenished regular. They had a grill section which cooked different fresh meat and fish every night. We even had steak on a couple of occasions! Very good) Plenty of bread and fruit. After a week the food can get a bit repetitive but it suited us as we were only there for a week.
The rooms were on the small side but we did not spend hardly any time in them! Just to sleep! There is one problem with this hotel, the LIFTS! 2 small lifts for the whole hotel, which held a maximum of 6 people and that is for 9 floors! We walked up to our room on the 8th floor once! That was enough! Walking down is fine but unless you are on the lower floors you needing the lift!
They had entertainment in the evening which was very impressive (usually hotels abroad only have a singer etc) one night we had peter pan!
Overall the hotel was very good, and we would recommend it. Ideal location for beach, and in the centre of Palma Nova.

We have just come back from a week at the Sol Tordos, I don't want to point out all the things everybody else says, but here are the basics for you.
1, Food great and always different hot dish every night. Loads of puddings and when down to last couple of slices always replaced, chocolate cake is to die for.
2, Pack lunches available at no extra cost, snacks always available but only in restaurant no food to be taken by pool.
3, Rooms very spacious, air con, sky TV, and soap and shampoo in dispensers, all very clean. Ask for low floor, as lifts only fit approx 4 people.
Plenty of adult games around pool if you like that sort of thing and if you don’t you are not pressured into joining in.
99.9% of sunbeds are reserved between 7.45 and 8 am in the morning. Pools very small but hotel is just across the road for the beach if you go out the back gate.
Evening shows are 1st Class. Very good holiday, will hopefully be returning next year, weather was great as well second week in September between 75 and 80'c all week.

This was our second time to this hotel, 2 adults and 2 kids (12, 6), if you go to this hotel make sure you are all inclusive. Some people said the drinks and snacks where not cheap but as we went all inclusive we never spent a penny (or euro) on drinks or snacks, why would you when the restaurant never shuts from 8am to 11pm and the food is fantastic with plenty of choice.
The main pool is very busy and you have little chance of a sunbed if you miss the morning stampede to get one at 8am, my tip is to use the Mirlos pool as this is a lot quieter and there is no mad rush to get a sunbed.
A visit to Palma is a must and a walk to Magaluf takes only about 15 mins. The beach is nice and clean and only a few mins from the hotel. Don't miss the crazy golf in the centre of Palma Nova at night when it is all lit up- looks great and it is a good night out, there are 54 holes set among lovely gardens and caves.
There are a lot of bars and restaurants near by with pints from 2euros, I cant recommend any restaurants because I never went in any of them! We arrived and were given a large family room overlooking the back of the hotel, room was larger than the pool view ones but we asked to move and they moved us after 2 days, when one became available. I recommend you ask for a pool view instead of a view overlooking a waste ground.
FINALLY we will definitely be going back in a year or so, if you are a family I don't think you can beat this hotel or the location for a great family holiday.....

Last year I went to the sol tordos for the 2nd time and I have to say I enjoyed it a lot more.
It is mainly based for children but it was still very fun. Im 15 and I went with my mam and brother and my uncle and his two kids. HIs youngest is 9 and it was very easy to please her with the flinstones theme.
There were a lot of activities including, pool based games, pistol shooting, archery and clubs for younger children.
The entertainment was great especially the ones where everyone can join in I ended up winning a flinstones tshirt.
The food was very good after youve worked your way through all the food they have loads of desserts, if you were on a diet youd fail miserably.
It is very near the beach and has a number of shops for tourists.
All inclusive holdiday packages are very good there is no limit for the amount of drinks you want but serving drinks stops at a certain time.
I wouldnt reccomend getting a room high up. There ar 9 floors and I was on the 9th. The view is fantastic but if you dont like walking up stairs you have to wait for a very long time to get a lift. As i'm scared of elevators i had to walk up all the stairs and you are exhausted by the time you reach the 4th.
Its a great hotel and the staff are cheerful and funny. I also agree with a few comments about the bar staff. They seem to find it a hard labour to get you a drink (they are the bar staff) but usually on the last day they cheer up.
The pool is also on the small side but you might as well just go down to the beach.
Hope this helped.
