Really great holiday! I went with my Dad and my little sister aged 11. Really good for all ages. Many resaurants and bars, entertainment all day. Us three normally just chilled out by the beach as they have a massive private beach! We also went on a boat trip and canoeing... more

Just returned from a week at Letoonia with my husband and three teenage daughters. We have stayed at 5 star all inclusive resorts in Egypt and used them as a basis for comparison. Letoonia certainly has the edge in terms of scenery. The resort is really beautiful as is this... more

When they say 'all inclusive' for once it actually is! All we spent money on was a paper each day and a trip to Fethiye on the Hotel's private water taxi (10TL return ~£2 each way for 10 min boat ride). No annoying wrist band to wear either because if you are in the resort... more

My partner and I stayed for a week to celebrate my 40th birthday and couldn't have hoped for a better resort, or better weather - it hit 32 degrees by 10 am one day. It was exactly as described in the brochure, including the steps, and the pictures were 100 per cent... more

Fantastic holiday
Just got back from a week at this hotel with partner and 2 boys, aged 6 and 7. Would highly recommend hotel-stunning location, great amenities and high standards of cleanliness and service. We were put in a bungalow room in error on first night and must say that it was cramped for 4 people, however were moved next morning to a very spacious main building room which we were very happy with. Food is very good and varied and would recommend the moonlight restaurant as one of the most beautiful locations for a restaurant I have ever experienced. Overall I couldnt fault Club Letoonia. Whilst it may not be to everyones liking (it does have a 'holiday village' feel to it) it was fantastic for my family and we had a brilliant time. A couple of things to note-if you want a sunbed by the pool you will need to get up before 9am (maybe earlier in high season) to 'bagsy' your bed with a towel as everyone seems to do this and by mid-morning the beds are all taken (although there is always somewhere to sunbathe throughout the complex). Also, booking the a la carte restaurants you need to be prepared to queue from 8.30 in the morning, and even then you wont be guaranteed a table if people before you are booking tables for 8 at a time. The other thing is the free shuttle boat to Fethiye-this gets very busy and I would recommend queuing for this 30 minutes before its due (it tends to always leave earlier than stated). These are small gripes however and you soon get into the swing of how things work. Overall I would not hesitate to recommend Letoonia as an above average all inclusive mediterranean hotel where you would be hard pushed not to have a great time.
wouldn't stay here again!!
Where do I start? We arrived and were put in a basement room when we'd paid for a bungalow (and we weren't the only ones this happened to). The basement room has doors that opened out on to the outside path that did not close properly, a safe that didn't work, a knee height shower, the lights outside in the corridor did not work and the entire plug socket fell out of the wall into my hands when I tried to turn off the light. When we complained, we were told that they were full and could not move us to our new room until the next afternoon (although they neglected to tell us this when we checked in). When we eventually moved to the bungalow (which was much nicer), we came back one afternoon to find out that they had removed one of our beds (left the matress just took the base!) and when we complained again no-one had any idea why this happened. Although on face value the resort looks beautiful, on closer inspection I wouldn't be surprised if the whole thing washed away into the sea if it ever rained here. Turkish build quality is not something I would like to rely on. On the whole the staff were pretty friendly but spoke very little english - even basic terms in the restaurant like 'can I have a napkin please' had to be asked 5 times to 3 different people and we still didn't get one. If you have a family then I imagine that all inclusive is a good thing but I really wouldn't bother otherwise. The shows the animation team put on obviously took a lot of effort but were actually rather racist and homophobic - what was supposed to be the 'comedy of different countries' show was embarassing and had I not been sat in the middle of a row of people I would have left. We would not come back here again.
Excellent Holiday
This was our first holiday abroad for three years, so we were expecting quite a lot. We had read many good reviews, but were still anxious to see what it was really like. We were not dissappointed. We arrived at night and firstly went for a walk around the complex. You could see all the lights along the beech and lights of the accommodation in the hills. The lights are in the shape of stars and moons and looked beautiful. The room was quite small but kept very clean, with fresh towels and bedding every day. The complex itself was in a wonderful setting with fantastic views all around. The food in the restaurants was very good, with a wide variety to choose from. The staff were very helpful and polite and nothing seemed too much trouble. The pool were a bit busy and there was the usual rush to put towels on the sunbeds. The nicest place for us was down on the vast sea front, with a man made beech all around the complex, with plenty of spare sun beds. There were also water coolers along the beech, so you could easily get a drink, although you could get a free bottle of water and take it with you. The Moonlight restaurant was excellent, with great views of the surrounding mountains. The only real problem was if you were a non smoker because all the restaurants allowed smoking, which isn't very nice when you eating. Also ,although they had loads of activities to do, a few people with younger children said that an adult had to accompany them to play the games, which was a bit of a pain for the parents. The fitness centre is a must with a fab sauna and steam room, which were free, and also massage etc which you had to pay for. We were really happy with this holiday and would have no hesitation in going back.
Perfect Holiday
Club Letonia : This is an excellent place for adults to take an all inclusive holiday in turkey, as you arrive through the gates at letoonia you now that you have made the right choice, the grounds of this complex area of a very high standard all the walk ways are boarded by lush vegetation and lighting, you will always feel secure when walking around as most of the complex is surrounded by water and there is security around the grounds. On site: there are many areas for you to sunbathe as there are sun beds on the man made beaches and all around the waters edge, as well as by the pools, so you will never be lost for a place to sunbathe. There are water sports available wind surfing, pedlows, canooing well as a water slide, these are all free (you can Jet Ski as well but this is chargeable and is not run by the complex) There are three buffet restaurants in different areas of the complex for you to eat and there is also a Turkish, sushi and fish restaurant but these need to be booked (at the Turkish café on the same day so be there before 9.00am) there is also snacks served in between meal times. Drinks: there are about five+ places for you to get drinks the lobby bar is open 24hours. The others close at various times but this was never a problem as the main area bar was open from about 10.00am to 1.00am, if you ask for premium brands by name then they do have most of them and will give them you, but if you don’t ask for them by name then you will get the house spirits, these are still fine. Entertainment : this is mostly run by the animation team ,during the day they organise games by the main pool and on the beach at the evening they put on shows in the amphitheatre , there is a nightly disco that is at one end of the complex but when we went there was no one there . Over all this is an excellent place to stay and I would recommend it to people that are looking for a relaxing holiday with good facilities and quiet nightly entertainment.
fantastic!
Just returned from a week away at letoonia, and what a week it was! This was our first holiday away without the kids in over 20 years, so we took a chance and booked somewhere we had not been before. The complex is set in stunning scenery, with friendly staff, great food and great service. We were never left waiting for anything, although this may change in the height of the season. will definately be going back again. p.s. Animation team, this early in the season were faultless! considering they were all young, they performed like pro's. well done!
Lovely Turkey
Just come back from an amazing holiday at this wonderful holiday complex, quite amazing, and stunning views. You just could NOT have a bad holiday here. Turkey itself is out of this world. Just purchased a Villa in the area. Stunning all round.
Top Class
Full size resort style property. We stayed for a few nights and found it superb in almost every way. Food was particularly good, with plenty of choice, and the general ambience is of staying in a top quality resort. A free shuttle boat operates hourly across the bay to the centre of Fethiye for those who want to visit the town for shopping etc. The alternative route to the town of Fethiye is a 10-15 min scenic drive passing by the fascinating boat yards where wooden Gulets are in various states of construction. Otherwise everything else is catered for within the hotel. Rooms are in several styles. We were allocated the bungalow style room located throughout the extensive grounds. (Battery powered transport will transfer you and your luggage from reception to your room if necessary.) Rooms in the main building were of superior quality though they are more expensive. So if you want the full 5 star experience pay the extra and uppgrade your room. The rooms in the bungalows were perfectly adequate and good for turkish standards, but I felt standards of furniture, finish, & attention to detail were short of international 5 star standards. One of the pools had a zero depth entry facility making it particular suitable for toddlers or disabled guests who would like just to walk into the pool rather than negotiate steps. Overall the property has a number of ramps for disabled guests, although some facilities in the resort may be inaccessable due to the hilly nature of the headland it is built on.
Fantastic family holiday
This is my second review on this resort, as this is my second visit. However this time I went with my family, and last time I went with my sister. My four children are 5 ,9,13,and 15 years of age. They all loved it and really want to go back again. My eldest loved all the water sports and learnt to mono ski. My 9 year old spent lots of time on the water slides. My 13 year old loved the entertainment and the evening disco. The youngest just loved the pool and all the attention from all the Turkish people (they love children). My husband did Volleyball, played Tennis, and also tried most of the watersports. Well me, I was happy to sit by the pool with my cocktails! I would say this holiday is so perfect for families as there is just so much to do for all ages. This place is so fantastic I am booking to go twice again this year. Letoonia just captures you, it is so beautiful and the people are wonderful, they go out their way to make sure you are really enjoying yourself. The food is lovely and there is plenty of choice with the many restaurants you can book. Club letoonia is very clean never saw any litter and the gardens are so well kept. As I said in my last review the only down point is the steps, but it's good to burn off some of those calories you have consumed! However when you have climbed the steps the views are amazing. This is a place you must visit!
Would return
We visited Letoonia in Septmeber 2004 having found a very cheap deal on lastminute.com. Having got a late deal we were expecting there to be a few problems with the hotel but I'm pleased to say that apart from a couple of minor things, we were very pleasantly surprised. The hotel complex is larger than we expected and there's a great choice of restaurants - we particularly enjoyed the one on the beach! During the day we spent a lot of time lounging by the sea along the walkway which runs along the edge of the peninsular...very relaxing! There are some amazing fish to be seen in the water here and the colour really is out of this world. Our only gripe would be that our room had a particularly nasty odour which seemed to be coming from the drains. When we asked at reception about this, we came back to our room to find that it had been sprayed with air freshener which only tempoarily covered up the smell. Anyway, like I say, we got such a good deal on this holiday that this small incident didn't spoil it for us.# Fethiye Market is a must for a taste of real Turkey and the island day-long cruises are great value for money.
Time of my life!
What an amazing resort! i visited Letoonia in August 2004 with friends that have been twice before and i can assure you i had the time of my life! With the 1st class food and gorgeous views it was definately the best holiday i've ever had. I stayed in a bungalow type thing, which was lovely. There was masses of space and really comfortable beds. The animation team were fantastic and definately went out of there way to give everyone a holiday to remember! I was asked to be in a couple of the shows, which was the best experience ever. I got to know some of the team really well and saw first hand how hard they have to work! This is definately a holiday too good to miss.
