We snagged a bargain with our break, four nights stay in this travelodge hotel for just £40 for the both of us (for 4 nights)! So, to be honest we didn't expect the Ritz or anything, but basics would have done. We arrived at 3.15pm and were informed that if we wanted to... more

We booked two rooms for 1 night in November Rooms No. 201 and 202 (so you can avoid them). Disgusting and I do not kid you. Both rooms with dirty carpets, holes in skirting boards dust all over the t.vs. Paintwork had unmentionable marks on it with room 202 having kick... more

I was there for 4 weeks, mon-thurs night. Week one, they gave me a room which was completley acceptable. Week two, gave me a room on the lower ground floor, there was lots of dust on the bed cover, bath tub had hair on it, shower was cold, complained to reception about... more

On arriving we were offered early check in for an extra £10 which we took. The first room we were given smelled of vomit and not slightly, the room absolutely stunk, someone must have been really ill in there. I complained at reception and we were given a different room... more

Rooms not ready on arrival, even at 11pm at night! However, reception staff brilliant, booked us in at Renaissance Hotel 5 mins away. Didn't get rooms in the morning when we were told they would be ready, but again staff very helpful and apologetic. Free breakfast for the... more

We needed a base in the centre of Manchester for a short city break, and the Travelodge was the cheapest accommodation we could find. The accommodation is situated off Deansgate - the central shopping street in Manchester, and a very short stroll from the MEN Arena. The... more

Having stayed in several Travelodge’s over a period of a week I personally found this one in Manchester to be the best as all the expected items were in the room. We had 3 adults staying and were using all 3 beds 1 double 1 sofa and 1 pull out bed so we need linen for... more

I strongly recommend AGAINST this hotel, i recently booked 5 rooms at this hotel, £45 per room. Before we even got to our rooms there was a musty smell to the hotel floor we were staying on, firstly myself & my partner were allocated an incorrect room (two single beds)... more

Not the best.
We were going to a gig at the M.E.N. so we figured we would not actually be spending any time in the room apart from sleep so we booked in here. Unfortunately that morning the gig was canxd but as we had paid for the room we decided to go anyway and have a night out in Manchester. The hotel is very central and it would have been great for the M.E.N.. Like others below, we arrived before check in and we were asked very rudely for an extra £10 if we wanted to check in early. We refused then we were told that we could not leave our... more
Very nice stay
Read the reviews on here after I'd booked 2 nights with my eight year old daughter and was really put off. Paid £26 a night. Ended up booking another hotel for the second night in advance as I was so worried. We only stayed the one night as I'd spent more money on the other hotel and didn't want to waste that. However, I found this Travelodge to be very good. Room was huge, clean and staff were friendly. Shower curtain and tiles were bit grubby and arial for TV appeared to be inactive for part of the day for some reason, that is, at... more
Oh dear - A sad place to rest your weary head !!!
OK so we went on a stag party to Manchester, but we are a decent bunch of chaps who do appreciate some of the finer things in life !! At the beginning we were told we could not leave our bags in the hotel from noon, so we had to cart the bags around on the afternoon activities. When we arrived to check in to our twin rooms, none were real twins. A double bed and a bed settee. Unfortunately in my room there was no sofa bed so had to move rooms. The new room was sparse but clean, although it was the most tired room I have ever stayed... more
Awful - Thank goodness we got our money back!
We stayed at the Travelodge Manchester Central for 1 night 22nd September 2007. We were there for the Gwen Stefani concert (which was amazing). We arrived and paid £10 to check in early and then went up to the room. The rooms are clean and spacious but i didn't feel secure (as there front of the hotel is wide open). The shower was a little weak and there were no towels. I went down to collect more towels. The night was a nightmare as at 2am some drunk man tried to get in our room. We told reception the next morning and... more
Pretty good!
Big room, nice and clean. Only noise came from staff room or staff area that was next door to us! You cant really beat this for location- both to the Arena and the centre. Takes about 20 mins walk from train station.
Oh dear!
Well, this was my second travelodge stay in a week (I visited London Marylebone a few days prior) and shall most likely be my last. Having read others reviews on this hotel, I intended to drop my rather heavy weekend bag off at the hotel and spend the day shopping in Manchester with my boyfriend. However, upon arriving at the hotel at approximately 10.45am, we were greeted by a rather rude front of house member who was insistant that we could not, and would not be able to leave our bags! The top hat on the situation was that he was... more
Hen Weekend Hotel
Stayed for 2 nights (15 & 16 June 2007) for a hen weekend. Ideally situated in Central Manchester, with great access to pubs, bars, shops etc. etc. We had 3 family rooms on 6th floor and 1 on the ground floor. The rooms on the 6th were huge and easily accommodated 3 adults. The one on the ground floor was also a family room but was considerably smaller than those on the higher floor. Cost about £6 in a cab from Picadilly station, but is easily walkable if you dont have loads of luggage. Not a particularly exciting hotel... more
Great Value
Stayed here for one night for Girls Aloud concert!!! Ideally situated for MEN, shops and bars, room was great really clean, we booked a double, but when we checked in, we were given a family room....which is a bonus!!! Highly recommended!!!
Ok if your just looking for a room to sleep
We stayed there for two nights when we were going a concert in the MEN arena, I paid £66 a night which was expensive considering what you get but if you can get a saver room then it would be excellent for that price. The room was clean and quite spacious which I liked. The bathroom had a power shower which was great and there were 2 big mirrors and 1 big one in the bathroom which was brilliant for getting ready!! The only thing about the room was the window in the bedroom, it seemed like it wasnt closed properly and as we were at... more
A reasonable hotel
This hotel is a reasonable hotel. The location is very good and the rooms were basic and clean. We had this reservation as we were to seen a concert at the MEN Arena and the hotel was very close (2 minutes walking). Near the hotel you have lots of shopping areas (with all the main brands). If you plan to go to the Old Trafford stadion this is a bit far, you will have to walk a little to the center and then get a tram, but if you are planing just to stay on the city center it's a perfect location.
