great hotel!
This hotel was recomended to us! It's a very pleasent hotel, the staff are friendly and polite. The rooms are spacious, clean with large beds and lovely bed linnen! We had our breakfast delivered to our room, it was fresh and delicious. The hotel is not what i would call luxurious but it is ideal for short breaks or transit. I would deffinatly return and reccomend it to a friend! we found the concierge service and reception very helpfull. A great hotel
lovely
Stayed for 1 night whilst visiting manchester for the kylie concert, Lovely hotel, really polite staff, good sized room with really comfortable bed. Got a deal of breakfast and dinner included, good food and service. Great location for a weekend break in manchester , only downside no bathrobes or hairdryer, would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to manchester
Always courteous, and excellent value
Having stayed many times on business, I brought the family on Christmas Eve. It is surely unusual to say the stay was without fault, but it was outstanding. From the polite greeting from the reception manager, who recognised me as a relatively frequent guest, through to the excellent and immaculately presented rooms. An excellent bar, and a fine breakfast. Everything we wished for.
First class Hotel
I am a Travel Agent who has stayed in the majority of the hotels in this city. This was my first stay at the V&A and it really is first class. The hotel is elegant and quite obvious that the staff pride themselves on guest care as they are veryt helpful and the service is friendly and so very efficient. Rooms are traditionally modern adn decorated to a high standard. A must for anyone looking fro quality and service with the shops of Deansgate only a leisurely 10 minute stroll away. Highly recommended!
Comfortable and stylish
My room was very well appointed, the bed was comfortable, and the service was great. This is now my first choice whenever I'm in Manchester.
Stylish and convenient
I stayed here for three nights during a business trip to Manchester. After a four hour drive, arriving late at night, I was pleased to discover that the hotel had valet parking which saved me the usual city centre hotel ordeal of finding a space in a public car park and then walking with luggage in the dark in a strange city. I paid slightly more for a better quality room and was not disappointed. The room was stylish and spacious with a very big, very comfortable bed and a separate seating area. I found the original features (bare... more
Great Place
We were in Manchester for the George Michael concert and wanted to stay relatively close to the Arena. Most Hotels had gone by the time we booked but I am so glad they were. This Hotel is excellent. From the moment we arrived everything was taken care of. The valet parking was a great help as the Manchester weather was up to it's usual tricks. We had a suite which was spacious and had a view over the river. The bed was so comfortable that we had breakfast in our room. Delivered on time, hot and as described. All of the staff... more
Absolutely fabulous hotel
Stopped in Manchester for a one day layover between connecting flights Fri. Nov. 17th. While initially I had hoped to book at the Arora, (because of TA reviews) I am so glad that we ended up at the Marriott. The location is ideal, within walking distance to all around the city centre and yet far enough from all the hustle and bustle. If you are looking for somewhere to return to at the end of your day and relax in peace and luxury - this is it. While the hotel is quite large, and was booked full this weekend, I hardly ran into anyone or... more
Lovely Hotel
We have also just returned from a weekend at this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We were a bit disappointed with the size of the room when we booked in - though it was beautifully appointed. However, we thought the bathroom smelt a bit damp, so went down to reception and Mark, the Danish receptionist, was really helpful and put us into a larger room. We ate in the hotel restaurant the first night and both enjoyed our meal. We also loved the bar area. The concierges were also extremely helpful. We would definately... more
Absolutely Fantastic!!!
Me and my wife wanted somewhere different to stay when we visited manchester so we chose the Victoria and Albert and it was clear when we arrived that we had chosen well. from the minute we arrived we felt really welcome, the Danish man on reception was so helpful, and the concierge was really friendly and made us feel like royalty. The room was superb, really airy, light and exceptionally clean and the bed was just wonderful, huge and comfy with really clean bedding. The bathroom was really nice with plenty of towels and there were his n... more
