Renaissance Manchester Hotel

Chose this hotel as it was so handy for both the shops and the MEN as we were at a concert that night. Arrived before 11 and our room was ready for us. Had booked a special rate on the internet and we got a large room with seating area in it, much bigger than most hotels we've stayed in. Staff all very friendly. Booked here because it was one of the few hotels in the vcentre of Manchester that could accomodate 3 of us - myself, husband and son in one room . It is in a great location at the top of Deansgate - very easy to walk to from Piccadilly. The room was large and the beds were comfortable but for the price (£149) a few things were missing The TV was in a cabinet which you had to swing out and round to watch. Overall - a very average property with exhorbitant rates Front Desk - rude and surly, but there are 6 or 7 staff members behind the desk sure to give you a sneer. Voiced my displeasure about several specific issues - was met with blank stares. Management - same story, voiced concerns but no satisfaction Housekeeping - had to change rooms, don't think the floor sweepers are run at all Beds -very uncomfortable, had to flip a mattress myself - looked disgusting with rips and tears and some stains - ugh...disgusting<br... more

A fantastic hotel! Huge bedroom, and I was assured it was a standard room. Great view over the city, my room was on the 11th floor and overlooked Harvey Nicols on Deansgate. Right in the heart of the nightlife, just took a few minutes to walk back from the Printworks at the end of the night, so no need to try to flag a taxi down. Would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting great location and execeptional value for money.

Stayed for one night over the last weekend and very impressed with every aspect of to hotel. Rooms were comfortable & clean with great bathroom facilites and cool Bang and Oulfsen TV's. The location of the hotel was especially good for the weekend visitor, being located about 50 yards from Deansgate. In the evening the location was also beneficial being only a couple of hundred yards from multiple "gentlemen's clubs" and the new "Manchester 235"casino around the corner. We stayed here for 2 nights and everything was quite pleasant. We were greeted at the Front Desk with chocolates and check-in went smoothly. Got a nice clean room with 2 beds and a rollaway - I liked the sitting area to the side, but the TV was in a cabinet in an odd location. You couldn't really watch it while lying in bed, or sitting on the sofa. Aside from that, no big complaints. Central location, easy to find. May stay here again if I can get a good deal.

Rooms are large with seating area and nice bathroom. Hotel was quiet and no noise from other guests or traffic. Good location for shopping and 5 minute walk from MEN Arena. Hotel staff was pleasant and efficient. Highly recommended!

I booked a 2 night stay in a deluxe room. The booking site described the room e.g. bathrobes etc. but when we arrived it didn't look like the room described. I feel this is a problem the booking site needs to address - it wasn't really the hotel's fault. Hi Had a recent stay at the 'Renaissance' & had a fantastic time. The Location is excellent, rooms spacious & breakfast fantastic! All the staff from reception, cleaners to restaurant staff are very friendly & helpful in every way. Cannot fault & I have been many times. Always an enjoyable stay & looking forward to July's stay. Must be one of Manchester's safest Car parks too.

Stayed at this hotel while attending a Concert at the MEN They have secure parking here and its worth the money we felt our car was safe and there were plenty of security cameras Easy check in - we phoned the day before arriving and asked if we could check in early and they said they would put this as a request.
