My husband and i have just got home on the 8th of September, from our holiday. I was slightly worried due to the bad reviews , well all i can do is agree with the most of them, The rooms were VERY basic and not clean, the walls was were dirty , broken floor tiles in the room .The shower was a disgrace , i ended up cleaning it myself before i used it. Pool uninviting and very small , breakfast wasnt much to write home about , had to ask for clean towels 3 times , there were loads of bugs in the room , was in room 105 , corridors very dark at night and very noisy when the young ones were screaming , laughy and shouting at gone 4 and 5 in the morning. We spent as little time as possible in there. A few good points , weather was between 37 and 40 degrees, location is great, back of hotel you are on the beach. But the front is where the night life starts. We found most of the staff very nice. . Would recomend eating in the Golden Knife which is part of the Sami Beach and the Minstral which is just a few minutes walk away, food very good in both. But would i go back NO, especially that hotel.

hotel basic, reception cant smile, very noisy...so no sleep sometimes till 3.30am. good location tho ..prices 25 to 50 lira for bottle of wine with meal..go to windy bay or minstrel free wine with meal.. spirits 5-7 quid a go. not in eur ripping people off locals know that and say its the goverment... just like home eh! not going back.. I love the place but cant afford the kind of money to upgrade to better hotel. People in shops are finding it hard to seel their goods even bottle spirits more expensive than home. I liked Barr Horrible memet is very funny.

the hotel staff are freindly especially sexi pepsi he is a good laugh
there were a few not so goog things about the hotel we could not go to bed untill after 2am as the entertainment was loud and on our last nite 2 members of bar staff were fighting but apart from that it was good
the hotel room was clean and tidy and nice to relax next too the pool

arrived at hotel at 1;30 in the morning and my room was not ready until 3am, and when i got in my room there was no toilet roll and the room had not been cleaned.
The staff were friendly except for the reception staff who were very unhelpful.
My room was not cleaned in the 2 weeks i was there except for the floor and bin, also had no bed change and only got clean towels once and that was because i asked the maid for them.The food was lovely and the entertainment was good.However when coming home i was unable to keep my room on so i had to vacate it at 12pm and wasn't picked up until 10pm.

Just returned from sami beach 11/08/2008 - good holiday, however, the room was basic, we stayed in room 303 just over the sami beach bar and very noisy until 2AM. The entertainment was cheap! which is more than the drink are.. as turkey flights are renowned for being bad time wise we presumed we would be able to keep on the room on our last day (never been a problem in any other resort we have been to!) we didnt get picked up til 11.20pm fly at 3.05am checkout 12.00noon!! we had no chance of keeping the room on which i find unusual - i think the hotel may overbook, so beware. Pepsi the "beach boy" is a legend in his own mind and slighlty annoying yet entertaining. the accomodation is basic and in need of a severe update, the only reason they get a way with it is because the weather is so good you dont spend any time in the room except to wash and sleep. the rooms need a kettle for that your early morning brew! the hotel is on the beach but you are crammed on there! the pool has no lifeguard and no umberellas and is slightly uninviting. the resorts pavements and roads are very uneven and you may miss your footing, we saw a girl topple right into the middle of the road, luckily for her there was no scooter or dolmus fastly approaching. health and safety has yet to catch up with turkey. so i would not reccomend this hotel (resort) to anyone with children under 10.

Just come back from Turkey Sami Beach hotel what a great 2 weeks, hotel was right on the beach, great views, hotel staff very friendly and helpfull, rooms were ok could do with a kettle in the room, for a brew after a relax on the beach, staff on the beach were brilliant sexy pepsi and his banter, and opo in the resturant area greets you always with a smile,short distances for other bars and restaurants, good food in these too.
try smileys great entertainment from the lads sadly some of who have to go to the army this year, teran, cerash, yilmas .funny guys as all the staff were.also chico`s same again funny and helpfull, last but not least roxies espesially Jimmy. visited a few more bars all friendly. would recommend to all

I Came Back From Gumbet On Tuesday 29th July... My First Time In Turkey And Wont Be My Last Still Wish I Was There Now, Loved Everything About The Holiday The Location Was Great , The Staff Are Amazing All Very Friendly Especially Kadir (Sexy Pepsi) With His Many Sayings! :) , The Hotel Pool Was Lovely Just Had To Get The Right Place For Sunbathing And Away From the Trees! ,
The Rooms Are Very Basic And Not Modern But Were Clean And Just What We Needed I Stayed In Room 331 There Was 2 Single Beds A Double Wardrobe , Tv , Hairdryer , Telephone , And Of Course A Shower. The Balcony Was Useless Couldnt See Anything Because Of The Palm Trees. We Were Half Board Food Was Nice Some Days Was Boring But Most Of The Time Lovely With Different Things to Choose From For Breakfast and Tea!..
Went In A Couple Of Bars Of An Evening Chicos Bar And Aloha Both Very Entertaining With Friendly Staff. But We Mainly Stayed At The Hotel Bar As They Had Many Different Shows On Throughout The Week Aswell As Discos Afterwards With Well Known Party Songs Such As Kiss Kiss And The Macarena.. Overall My Holiday Was Amazing And I Would Definitely Come Back To Sami Beach Hotel.. Maybe Next Year :) x

Sami Beach was amazing, couldnt of been better, loved the barmen especially Kadir (Pepsi) he was top man.
Food looked really horrible at first, but once i tasted it, i wanted more it was lovely.
The sea was on the door step, which was a good view.
Entertainment at night was really good, every night in a week there was something different on.
I would defently go back next year if i had the chance, didnt want to come home.

The hotel was in an excellent location, right on the beach. The room was cleaned every day with clean towels and sheets provided.
The hotel waiters were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. Kadir or Pepsi as he calls himself had me in hysterics for the whole holiday.
The entertainment in the night was a bit naff but it was bearable with a few drinks down you.
The beach front had plenty of bars/restaurants to choose from and all the food was top class and quite cheap.
We jumped the Dolmus into Bodrum several times, you just put your hand out and they will stop for you anywhere on the street.
I will be booking to go back to the Sami a.s.a.p and do not think I will wait for next year, think I might go back in 2 months time.
Overall, a fantastic hotel, waiters. food, location and service were 100%. Recommended for anyone of any age.

Just got back from holiday, in Gumbet-Turkey, and it was great. It was our first time in Turkey but already we are planning to go back. The hotel was good and clean.Hote in good position..Staff speaks good in english..Especially reception staff...We did get enough information anytime we want....Foods were fantastic..We definitly come back again next year...We learned that Hotel will have renovation for next summer..We are excited for that...
