Huge area, seven buildings of apartments, very crowded due to the size of the area. Noise from early morning to late night! The room was far too small, basic and not cleanung done for the whole 2 weeks! Food was not good, the atmosphere in the dining room was miserable! If like many people around and 'noise' is the place to be!

weve just come back from 11 nights at alcudia pins with our 3 children who are 8, 6 and 14 mths, i cannot recommend this hotel enough, it is brilliant and the kids want to go back next year, excellent entertainment and we had waited service in evening with full choice of drinks which are not in plastis cups!!. we mainly stayed around the kids small pool due to the baby but there were alot of activites during the day in the pool and all catered for families. food was excellent and staff cannot do enough for you, we ate at the restaurant on the beach which was lovely. we didnt want to leave and will def go back next year. the only downfall is the size of the rooms but to be honest we were hardly in them

We have just returned from 2 weeks in Alcudia Pins. Our party consisted of 4 adults and 3 teenagers. I have to say that I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. The location is picture perfect with direct access to a beautiful beach, the rooms were ample in size, clean towels everyday and bedding changed and the room cleaned every other day. On site staff could not have been more helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Entertainment everynight (mostly tribute type acts) was fine and there seemed to be plenty or organised activities for younger children on offer. The hotel is German oriented but in my opinion was no worse for that. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance and we used them all during our stay and found them all to be excellent in terms of quality and choice. We stayed self catering and the only negative comments I heard during our stay concerned the onsite restaurant. We often walked past queues of over 50 people waiting to get into the restaurant and breakfast seemed to be organised chaos. I would definatly avoid going half or full board especially if you have children.
Overall the holiday could not be faulted and I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone.

Hi not long back from a 9 night holiday in the Alcudia Pins Apart Hotel late May early june, i felt i had to write this review as before we went i was quite worried about the mixed reviews. Myself, my husband our 4.5 year old son and my parents stayed half board in a 2 bed apartment is was very clean, beds comfy extra pillows supplied on request and with not a problem, bathroom very clean, towels changed every day. Food was lovely and in the 9 nights we were there there was never the same themed night, there was something to eat for everyone, the breakfast was the same with everything you could want, and a chef at a griddle every morning making fried eggs pancakes. The staff were very friendly and accomodating, pool area amazing with lots of sun loungers, life guard, water slide even though the water was freezing my husband and son loved it. This hotel is right on the beach and has amazing shows every night. The reason it got 9/10 instead of 10/10 is that it is a little out of the way from the village of playa de muro but it has a fantastic bus service which passes the front every 10/15 mins to alcudia and every hour to palma. We got a taxi to marine land it was 75 euro from door to door and got the bus back from palma at a cost of 5.20 per person it is the same price for children.
All in all a very good holiday for the price we paid and we had no complaints and my mum is very hard to please i would defo return to this hotel but not so early as it was very windy you would need a cardi in the evenings for the entertainment. The loungers at the pool area are free and at the beach are 8.50 for 2. The is a fab reataurant across the road too, with mini markets reasonably priced and amusements too for the kids.
We will probably be returning to Alcudia Pins next summer but later in June. Hope this helps you all making your holiday decision.

We went to Alcudia Pins as a family for 2 weeks in 2007 and 1 week in 2008 and we would highly recommend it to anyone seeking either a relaxing or active holiday, as it attracts both families and couples. On our first visit we were allocated a sea view room which was probably the best room in the whole complex...couldn't believe our luck! On our second visit, we had a pool view room but I must say that on both occassions each room was spotless, cleaned every day, comfortable with all amenities. The complex itself is ideal for families with evening entertainment to suit all, but is very noisy until midnight (when the entertainment closes),the pool is amazing, but does get very busy. The location is beachfront, which is perfect, however, the complex is located some distance from Alcudia centre, which is a bus or taxi ride away. Beware though, that there is a market on Thursdays (I seem to recall) and the local bus only goes every 30 minutes or so,and the queues to and from the resort centre are very long...not good with children in the heat.
There are some shops and restaurants a very short walk away but these are quite limited and there isn't much variety if, like us you like to eat out at a different place each night. We would recommend going into the centre of Alcudia some evenings as it is very lively and there are a lot of places to eat that have entertainment and/or play areas for the kids.
The Alcudia Pins staff are also very friendly, but the tour reps aren't.

we 1st went 2 this hotel for our honey moon in 2007 we went majorca cause we had 2 small children and my family said it was good for kids we absoulutly loved it the hotel was great staff very friendly tried the food it most of the places round the complex we really liked bbq bar and the pizzas. loads 2 do for the kids my son loved the slide into the pool and the beach is beautiful. We went back the next year and still enjoyed it just as much some of the staff recognised us and we had a lovely holiday and felt very relaxed and comfortable there, we went 2 the bar by the amusement arcade 2 watch the entertainment they did alot of triubte nights and were good plus kids loved the motor bike track next to it. We didnt go last year because we thought we should try somewhere else but we didnt enjoy it as much, and we are returnin to the pins in a few weeks and we all cant wait.

10 out of 10.
Perfect holiday for 2 adults and 2 children. Apartment spotlessly clean, maids lovely. Towels changed every other day, apartment cleaned every day, air con, fridge and microwave. Pool beautiful, big and very refreshing. Jacuzzi, and water flume, waterfalls, very pretty. Pool water tested many times daily, cleaned every morning. Sunbeds tidied every night, poolside cleaned every day. Hotel staff wonderful, very sweet kind and helpful. Food for half board, plenty of it different themes daily, staff efficient and helpful. taxi rank on site, bus stop outside, bikes for hire and go carts for the kids or adults to use around the complex. Medical centre to hand with on site doctor. gift shop and supermarket and bakery on complex (Quite expensive though). Beach on your doorstep, clean sand, sunbeds and pedalos to hire, book boat trips on end of pier (2 hr trip pretty views on the sub marine, view fish under sea).
We would absolutely go there again, we thouroughly enjoyed ourselves!!

Just back after 2 weeks family holiday. Went with open mind after reading various negative reports. Although hotel is outside Alcudia there is a very good bus service running every half hour from the hotel entrance. There is also a Taxi stance with plenty taxis. Trip to Alcudia cost between 9 - 11 euros depending whether you went right into the port area which was the longest trip. However Alcudia Pins hotel is in fact closer to Can Picafort which was 5 - 7 euros by Taxi. Buses were only 1 euro per person.
We only experienced a few ants in the room but nothing to cause us any problems. We were on the 4th floor. Did notice a lot of ants in the BBQ Restaurant and did not eat there due to terrible service and ants!!!
We went half board, but would not do that again. Good Supermarket onsite and so would go self catering next time. Diningroom was extremely busy, queues to get in and chaos moving around. Drinks in evening very expensive. 1.95 euros for small bottle water. 2.10 for a SMALL bottle coke. Quality of food very disappointing. Breakfast choice was good with plenty of lovely fresh fruit, fresh breads. Fresh water, juices, teas and coffee all freely available at no cost in morning. Pity they didnt do the same for the evening!
Evening entertainment was ok and the young team put in a lot of effort. Pity most hotels think we go on holiday to play bingo every evening though!
One good thing was no reservation of beds by pool with towels. They were removed by staff - so stay by your beds!
Thomas Cook staff and hotel rep were excellent, very helpful and readily available.

Resort Ok. Food not very nice. Breakfast, although there was a lot to choose from the quality wasn't that good. Lunch & dinner wasn't much better. Again lots to choose from but lacked quality. Bar Unless u drank the shorts or bought the bottles of lager, it was impossible to get even slightly tipsy on the all inclusive lager or cocktails. Entertainment Great for kids but boring for adults. Beach was 20 mins away. Although it had a childrens club there were unruly kids wandering around and quite frankly ver annoying while their parentssit at the bar and lounged about all day. I was embarressed about the state some people left certain areas in. Rubbish and empty plastic cups dumped about e. The kids club was good, it had lots of activities for them. If it is peak season, you need to be at a stack of sunbeds about 8.30am. There aren't enough to go round. There aren't enough parasols either.. The reserving carried on with the seating area for the nightly entertainment, jackets & bags were reserving chairs before dinner To be honest I was glad to leave this hotel. The wearing of those horrid "all inclusive" wrist bands, I didn't like that either. I would not return to this hotel. It is for families who don't mind noise and crowded areas I will return to Majorca again but to a much quieter hotel
