Novotel Manchester West Hotel

This hotel is located just off the M60 motorway, making it very convenient for onward travel. Even though there was some refurbishment taking place, this did not detract from our stay. The rooms were comfortable and unusually spacious. The hotel is a short distance from the village of Worsley, with a great chinese restaurant just 5 minutes walk away - Tung Fong. We stayed for one night at the Worsley Novotel. This was our second visit and the hotel has improved a lot. The room we stayed in was large and airy and had been refurbished since our last visit. The reception area, breakfast area and bar were all spacious and had a nice contemporary design. The breakfast was good for a buffet style, the staff were all pleasant and very professional. We managed to get an Autumn saver rate directly with Novotel for £59 for room and breakfast.

We were transferred to this branch after being overbooked at the Novotel City Centre the night before a Man Utd match last weekend. Novotel arranged for cabs to take us to/from the hotel and gave us free drinks while waiting for the cab. The room was standard business - very clean and airy. Bed was not the most comfortable but ok. Shower looked nice and had a fantastic watering can-type spout, but water leaked out of the shower and drenched the floor of the bathroom. Breakfast was fine. I have just spent two nights at the Novotel Manchester West. Arriving at 11pm with two children below the age of 10 years, we checked in quickly and were shown directions to our room. The room had a queen sized bed and a sofa bed and we needed help to open up the sofa bed. A call to the reception sorted this problem as someone was sent to open it for us within a few minutes. I am not one to moan, read my other hotel reviews and you will see that Im not a fussy person at all . In this review I will simply state the facts. Arrived Sat December 18th at around 3pm . Its a cold December afternoon so we check in and go to our room . To be fair the room itself was ok apart from the heating was not working . I call reception and he says the heating is on a timer and will be on from 6pm till 10 pm . I say this is not acceptable and he says come to reception for a fan heater . We had one night to spend in Manchester before flying out and chose this hotel because it was less expensive and had a pool (we were traveling with children and thought it would be nice for them). Unfortunately, although the pool seemed attractive, we never got to use it, because we got lost on our way and didn't arrive until about five minutes before it closed. At GBP65 this was the cheapest accommodation we had in our entire two weeks traveling in England! Our room was in the ‘older’ wing and I think the room featured on their web site is the newer ‘Novotion’ room. The check in was efficient. Our room was spacious, clean and the bed reasonably comfortable. The ‘robe’ was in an open alcove just inside the front door as was the separate toilet room. The room was pretty basic, and the bed wasn't the most luxurious I've ever slept in, but overall it was clean, and comfortable. The restaurant was seriously overpriced though (£22 for a buffet breakfast??) This hotel gives you exactly what you pay for, which is: a practical, well serviced room in a convenient location. We'll definitely stay here again.

I thought that the hotel was brilliant. i went there for my leavers do. I really enjoyed the do. The buffet was nice, the only disapointment was that the dance floor was not big enough. I would advice people to come here. The room is big and the hotel is very smart.
