Hilton Manchester Airport Hotel

Stayed here on a park and fly basis prior to a flight to Turkey.

Check in was friendly and quick. We were directed to our room which was both spacious and clean. Despite its proximity to the airport there was no aircraft noise. We had an evening meal and drinks and breakfast next morning - both meals were delicious and nicely cooked. The only fault I had was the price of the drinks in the bar, they are way overpriced but it’s about the same at most airport hotels.

We had a transfer to and from the airport and on both occasions it was friendly and prompt. I do believe our car was driven to a car park and that is where it remained till we returned but that was explained to us and was not a problem. It was waiting for us at the hotel.

We always stay at a hotel when we have a morning flight as it is relaxed way to start our holidays and even though the drinks were expensive we would not hesitate to stay here again in the future.

What a fantastic hotel this is!

We booked an executive room and it was wonderful.

Check in was on the executive floor with all executive rooms on high level floors with wonderful views over Manchester.

Drinks are served in the executive lounge all day with free pre dinner drinks and canapés also being served. The floor to ceiling windows and views over the city centre make this a breathtaking lounge.

The rooms were lovely and very well equipped with every amenity you could think of.

The only minus point was having to queue and wait to get entry in the Cloud 23 bar as the doorman was letting in his friends first.

Before flying to India we were due to stay the night at the Britannia Airport hotel. (If you want some idea about this horrible hotel then just look at the reviews). Running screaming from the Britannia we drove around the airport and saw the Hilton. My partner ran in to see if they had a room for the night and could arrange parking for us.

They sorted us out straight away. Very competitve rate. Room was lovely. Carpark secure. Food in the bar was huge - if a bit pricey!

The next day we weren't due to fly out until 6 o'clock, one quick call to reception and our check out time was extended until 3pm - for free!

Very easy, hassle free transfer to the airport, and on return we phoned for the pick up and they got there in 5-10 minutes. Car was fine and waiting for us back at the hotel.

Staff were very friendly, chatty and helpful.

Wouldn't think twice about staying here again or recommending it to friends.

Stayed at this hotel earlier this year in a twin room with a friend for a sporting event in central Manchester. We were very pleased with our stay.

The hotel was easy to find from the motorway and well signposted, and there was plenty of parking upon arrival.

We checked in very early, at around 11am, but they had a room ready for us without hesitation! We expected to have to wait but we checked in 4 hours early with no problem. The reception staff were good but they took my Solo card as pre-authorisation, only to get a phone call later saying they did not accept Solo. By this time we had already posted drinks to our room, but it was only a small problem which was sorted quickly. We just paid in cash thereafter.

The room was to a good standard and the toiletries were bigger than usual, which was a nice touch. No complaints what so ever with the quality of the room - I mean, it was nothing special but perfectly adequet for what we needed.

We had bar food in the evening which was very nice indeed. Fish and Chips and a Hilton Burger - classically typically but nice nonetheless. Breakfast the next morning was great too.

The hotel is about 30 minutes drive by bus to the centre of Manchester (the trains were not running that day) but the train station, for when they are running, is about 5 minutes walk (if that) from the hotel. It cost about £5 to get into the centre.

I'd definately stay here again, infact I'm thinking about planning a stay in June. The only downside was £10 for parking, but thankfully they forgot to charge us for that! Oops!

Spent one night at the Hilton prior to flying the following day. For such purpose, it is absolutely fine. Sure, it doesn’t have all the extras you’d expect in a city or resort hotel, but for one night – which is all most people stay in an airport hotel – it is more than comfortable.

I was lucky enough to be upgraded to an executive room; this was very well appointed, although I didn’t like the rather glaring round fluorescent light in the centre of the ceiling, nor the rather weak bedside light. Furniture was functional and in very good condition. The bathroom was big and very clean.

The restaurant / bar area was cheerful and the food good. Prices were on the high side, but, again, you expect that in an airport hotel. The staff were very friendly indeed, and most anxious to help.

I had a good deal which included 8 nights’ parking. That made the Hilton a better deal than Bewley’s, next door. Otherwise, there is little to choose between them.

I can recommend the Hilton for a one or two night business stay; it’s not a resort hotel, so if you are on a leisure break, look elsewhere.

The Hilton Manchester Airport is an ok hotel for an airport hotel.

The Train station is right across the road and you can walk the airport. There is a B.P petrol station across the road where you can pick up some food and cheap beer/wine.

The Breakfast is fantastic there all sorts of food.

A major dis-advantage is no Free wieless like bewleys and Radisson, and they charge £15 pound a day for internet access in the room. But if you need to check your mail urgently and for free go to the 5th floor and head towards bewleys hotel direction pass the deluxe rooms and at the end you can sit on the ledge and get wireless reception rom Bewleys hotel, which i did a bit.

If i was paying for the hotel i would stay in bewleys or the Rad-SAS

Stayed 2 nights as had meetings near the airport - there are mixed reviews about this hotel and I could see elements of many comments.

First of all the hotel is not attached to the airport - it's either a 10 min walk (you have to get to from the railway station - exit side door opposite side to bus station, look for the Hilton sign and negotiate a few busy roads and you'll be there). There is a courtesy bus - only every 25 mins. For convenience the Radisson is better, if staying off site Bewleys next door half the cost and recomended.

Check in functional, as a HHonours Gold should be upgraded to a deluxe room, only when mentioned did I find a standard room was allocated but this was upgraded without issue. The room did not have the usual extras expected in a Hilton delux - robe, sliipers, water, fruit etc. Being a grump complained on this and was sent a miniture of whisky and 2 chocolates - I'd have had to pay about £3 for the water to go in and walk to the bar for an ice cube - but it was something (I guess).

Room itself good, very comfy bed and quiet. Window at an odd angle so could only see out if you stood in corner of room - but you don't stay here for the view!

Restaurant shuts early for airport hotel - 10 pm, missed by few minutes so stuck with room service - served till 11pm. CARE - very very expensive for what it is - sandwiches are £10.50, chips £5.75, tray charge £5 - what a con! I had a pie and chips (this was a cheapest hot meal - cheap bought in pie microwaved, the sort you don't look at the meat, and an OK cheese plate - £28!!). Strongly recomend not to eat here - walk back to the airport or get a train to town - worth the journey. Train to Manchester Picadilly in evening £1.75 and frequent, takes 15 mins. Bar prices typical hilton.

Breakfast good - though not enough staff to clear tables. Porridge excellent. Standard 4* fair.

Check your bill carefully - they added £10 charge a day for car park - even though I flew in and out. After a fuss they took off - but getting home notice only one taken off. I am still trying to get the other £10 back.

I had a corporate rate of £102 B&B - not bad for the room and breakfast - but strongly recomend if you must stay here to eat / drink out. But is paying these prices Radisson much better with great views of runway, or Bewleys at £69 much better value.

I stayed for one night in February whilst on business. I was allocated room 0246 which seemed OK until during the night kept on being woken up by the two huge cooling units attached to the wall outside the window, didn't get much sleep at all.

The restaurant is hopeless, being dreadfully overpriced with hardly any choice. The buffet 'show kitchen' is just a joke. Drinks also overpriced - £7.50 for a glass of wine !

Only good point is that it is within easy walking distance of the airport terminals - there is a sign posted pedestrian path.
