Me and my girlfriend visited the Hotel Florida earlier this year and found it to be an excellent hotel.
The location is second to none - right on the sea front and only minutes to walk to bars, shops, and restaurants.
The rooms were extremely clean and the staff pleasant.
The only fault with this hotel for me and my partner was the food. It wasn't particularly bad, however compared to the quality in the restaurants in Lido, it seemed to be!
One problem was that all the food is soaked in oil! Why not just provide a bottle of oil on the table instead of assuming everyone likes it!
However due to the standard of the rest of the hotel we would definitely stay there again!

My Fiancé and I booked a 2 night break in Venice during the first week in September.
The flight was booked with Ryanair from London Stansted and the hotel booked independently through Travelsupermarket.com. The flight departed and arrived on time. No complaints over Ryanair whatsoever!
The hotel was very well located, near to train and bus stations. There was a Co-op supermarket only 3 minutes away too. The hotel room was very clean and well maintained.
The bathroom was also good, with up to date fittings. No mini bar/fridge in room, but very good remote air conditioning. Only complaint over hotel was the breakfast.
The freshly made cappuccino coffee was excellent, but not so the processed cheese slices and packet bread rolls/croissants or cereal. As prices/location and availability go in Venice the hotel wasn't a bad deal.
Would recommend Venice, Ryanair, and Hotel Florida to anyone wishing to visit on a budget.
