Comments:  First visit to Turkey and loved every minute thanks to the manager and the staff at Tropicana. Nothing ever too much trouble. We went to the Tropicana because our first hotel was atrocious, my friend was remembered from the year before and they got us in a room straight away. Everything was spotless, pool was fantastic, beach only steps away and a lovely walk through to Bar Street. I run a bar in England and if i could i would have taken all the staff home with me.
Thanks for a great holiday Yunis and the guys. Love ya all, see ya soon xx

Comments:  We had our best holiday yet at Tropicana Beach. Hakan on reception was very helpful as when we arrived the apartments were full apart from one room - room 101. Which wasnt what we expected. However Hakan moved us the next day as a room was available which overlooked the pool and Gumbet bay, which was beautiful. The apartments and pool area were exceptionally clean. Thanks to all staff for making our holiday an enjoyable experience Hakan, Furkan, Atasoy, Yunus, Romeo, Rambo, Cengiz, Orcun, Brave, Jimmy and Angel to name a few. And also thank you to Yunis the manager who has a very good team of staff. Also a fight for sunbeds wasnt on the cards this year as we managed to return from a trip at 3 in afternoon and managed to get best sunbeds. Had a good laugh with Rambo, Yunus and Brave during the day - they threw me in the pool more times than i can remember. Also Soy for putting ice on me while i sunbathed - thank you ! Would recommend the Turkish massgage from the Siesta apartments next door we were in for a good few hours.

Would definatly return to Tropicana Beach as it was only a short walk to all restaurants and bars. Had many lovely meals in Aloha, Sami Plaza, The Tempo to name a few. Many good nights were spent in The Atlantis Bar - who are all pretty crazy but brillaint fun and good entertainers, Aloha Bar was also good staff friendly and hard working. We had no bad meals whilst in Gumbet would recommend boat trips and dreamgirls also a trip to the Turkish village which was worth experiencing. Gill, who was situated between the Atlantis bar and The tempo restaurant, was brilliant at organising our trips.

Definatly wanting to return to Tropicana next year as it was a brilliant holiday and the staff at Tropicana were amazing and helpful at all times. Cant wait to return next year!

Thank you everybody at Tropicana for a great holiday x

Comments:  This is the fourth time my wife and I have been to Turkey but our first time in Gumbet. When you read the reviews before you go you tend to believe some are too good to be true but every review was spot on! The accommodation, with a double bed, was the best furnished we have ever experienced and the hotel was always clean. The food was excellent both for value and taste.
The staff, Brave, Romeo, Jimmy, Rambo, Toyboy, Dolphin to name only those we can remember were the friendliest and most helpful we have met.
The manager, Yunis Deniz, is a wonder! We had some teething problems with our appartment, due to us being the first to use it since refurbishment, but they were all solved the same day.
This was the first time I have seen the value of a rep! Terry one of the friends we met there needed to go into hospital and be out by the time we were due home. Hazel, from Thomas Cook, worked her socks off and made it all possible.
The jeep safari and The Dream Girls, a drag show, were both fantastic and well worth going on. Be careful when paying with a credit card through the rep. They use a higher rate of exchange and we ended up paying £9.00 more when it got to our credit card company!
If you are buying jewelery it is very good quality but don't believe them when they say it will be worth two or three times more in England!
The markets are worth visiting but beware prices are not as cheap as they used to be and we found some items like T-shirts and shoes cheaper it town.
There is a plethera of restaurants all serving good quality food but the best value was Cafe Colombia where you could get a three course steak meal and a free bottle of wine for about 35YTL (New Turkish Lire) or £15.00.
The dolmus, a local bus, cost at set price of 2YTL to almost anywhere including Bodrum.
What can we say bad about the Topicana? The music is very loud at night but that may be cos we is old!

Comments:  Don't really know how to explain how wonderful this hotel is! Never heard a complaint whilst there. Me and my friend are 2 21 year old girls, never been to turkey before and were looking for a relaxing beach holiday with some lively and fun nights out, and we got much more than we expected. The hotel itself is directly on the beach with lovely views of the bay especially at sunset. It has its own private sunbeds and cushions on the beach for 1 poundish per day, perfect for relaxing. beach is very clean and if you like dogs you will love the wild dogs who are so friendly and love the people! The pool is huge, and about 1.6 m deep everywhere which is very good for swimming but unfortunatly not so good for watergames if your short like me, but the sea is perfect for that as is nice and shallow.
The rooms were cleaned every day, and not too early around midday which is great if you like to sleep in the mornings like us. As for the views, we didnt have a balcony but we had a lovely terrace with beautiful gardens surrounding it, so dont be too disapointed if you dont get a sea view, you will have lovely views of flowers!

The best part by far of this hotel however were the staff. Everyone of them absolutly made our holiday! from the bar staff to the waiting staff to the free massages from rambo on the beach. They work so hard, and ensure your holiday is a memorable one. We were extremly sad to leave! No entertainment at the hotel however there is a 24hr bar with all the music u can imagine with requests taken well, and the staff make sure you get up and have a dance on the bar, no matter what your age (73 year olds on there when we were there!). Many thanks Cengiz, Romeo, Brave, Rambo, Soy and all the other staff for making our holidays!

Other things to note..hotel is a 5 min walk along the beach to the centre so in a nice quiet part of town, but of course not far away from entertainment, but we prefered getting a taxi home because its quite dark and daunting on the beach for 2 girls at 4am, but it only cost 7 lira or 2/3 pounds. A nice stroll though on the way out! Definatly not too far out. Gumbet centre is quite good, not as mad as tenerife or zante etc, but plenty to do for all ages. There are a few small clubs and plenty of bars and loaddsss of restaurants, definatly reccomend red dragon for a meal of any kind...stunning food (as is the hotel food too!). Watersports etc can be done on the beach, shopping galore just wish i had more spending money. Went on a boat trip for 10 quid all day including a meal, fantastic. Also went to bodrum the dolmus bus stops outside the hotel and costs 2 lira/70p and runs 24hrs. Bodrums very ncie lots of nice restaurants amazing shops and good bars. Also big nightclub if you fancy that but we didnt try it cus it was expensive to get in.

Finally the weather was very hot take lots of suncream 47 degrees in june! nice wind though as it is on a bay, and air con was fantastic.

one last say... stay here! we will definatly be back and reccomending to evryone

Comments:  Merhaba all, being in Turkey many times Tropicana is one of best! The staff are excellent and the accommodation and pool very clean. Its situated in a quiet area beside the beach with bus stop to Bodrum right outside. Its a 5 minute walk to centre of town where its all happening! The food everywhere is excellent, the people are so lovely and helpful. There's lots to do for all ages, Turkish bath is a must, as are the boat trips and for ye men out there you have to try the shave.

Turkey is fantastic, if you've never been go! Bodrum is also beautiful but a bit more expensive to eat and drink. PS. Have your Turkish bath the first day before you get sun burnt, then it can hurt!

Thanks for everything guys, most of all Yunis. Keep up the good work!

Comments:  Best hotel I have ever visited!!!!!!!!!

Apartments very clean and spacious.

Perfect location, close to beach, bus stop outside, short walk to resort centre.

Food is good and nothing too much trouble for the staff.

I am going back this year in September.

Comments:  It was the first holiday I had with just me and my youngest son, so I was a bit wary. Even though we had been to Gumbet twice before, but as a family.

The whole of the staff and manager were very welcoming, nothing was a problem. The hotel is very clean, staff are always cleaning.

The food was excellent, always up to a high standard. Even though the hotel didn't offer entertainment nights, the staff was always up to entertaining the guests.

Romeo and dolphin were are favourites (bar staff), never forgot what you drank, always new how to make your day. If you want a massage rambo is the man to do that, he tends to the beach what belongs to the hotel.

The receptionists are there 24-7 and always there to help. The pool was really big compared to the other hotels, it also features a Jacuzzi. My son spent nearly every minute in the pool.

To be honest I do not have a bad word to say about the hotel or staff, Me and my son will be hoping to go back this year.

Comments:  I have been to Turkey 3 times and usually stay in Bodrum, the last time I went the hotel that we stayed in was just not up to scratch it was dirty and the staff were rude.

Two days into our holiday however, we decided to switch hotel to the Tropicana in Gumbet. Well what a fantastic choice!

All of the staff are amazing especially Rambo and furkan! We felt at home and they really looked after us.

The rooms were very clean and were cleaned on a daily basis. The food was fantastic with everything cheap! Also there was a shop in the hotel for any essentials that you mat need.

The pool was very clean and big, but if you didn’t fancy that the beach was literally 30 seconds from the hotel. The buses to Bodrum stop directly outside of the hotel so it’s very easy to access other areas of Turkey.

The nightlife in Gumbet was just AMAZING!! There were plenty of bars to choose from I do recommend 'The central bar' and 'X bar' very good places to be! I thought that it was nice to be in between other hotels as it was nice to mix with other people around and try different places.

Finally I would like to say thanks to everyone that made that holiday. Fantastic, I will be returning ASAP he he. You should really give it a go!

Comments:  Well what can I say about the Tropicana Beach there is no word great enough to describe it!! It was absolutely amazing and really I’m not just saying that!

I went with two of my best friends (we are all in are 20s) and it was our first trip to Turkey. When we arrived our luggage was taken from the coach straight to our room checking in was a breeze, which was very refreshing.

Our room was very clean and of course stayed that way throughout the two weeks we were there. It was lovely walking under the arches of gorgeous flowers to and from our hotel room and the grounds are just as lovely around the hotel to.

It was lovely relaxing around the pool by day which I must add was exceptionally clean, and the staff are an entertainment unto themselves they were so, so funny and really made are holiday, thanks for all those freebies guys!

Thanks to the chief for lovely breakfasts in the morning and to all the barman and the waiters for being are friends you were all thoughtful, caring, and always looking out for us you were all great guys!

The hotel is just a short walk along the beach to all the nightlife in the center of Gumbet and the amazing silver jewelry shops which are a must!

The food in Turkey is fantastic there are a few restaurants that we visited often these were Cafe de Columbia, Pane Vino, Paradice, and another one I cant remember the name of it but Dolphin recommended it to us he is a waiter at the hotel. The food and drink is really cheap I can’t get over how reasonable it was!

Bodrum is ok but I didn’t like it as much as Gumbet. There are more bars and restaurants and most of the clubs are there but if you want a really good time go to Gumbet. All the barmen and the guys that worked in the shops and the restaurants are great they are really friendly and will do what ever they can for you even make sure you get back to your hotel safely!

The Turkish bath is a must and so are the boat trips. The only Bad experiences that we had was the Aqua park which left us very shaken up and the Golden Dragon restaurant where they served horrible food and the service was terrible!

I’m actually going back to Turkey for a week this August with my Best friend so I hope I can show her all those Turkish delights.

We love you Turkey!

Comments:  We had the most amazing time ever. In fact we hope to return for a week in September, to this exact hotel.

It was lovely, the staff are excellent - friendly, caring, funny, and gorgeous! The room was perfect, lovely balcony, with lovely view. The rooms were spot on, kept clean, and the shower was amazing, particularly after a hot day!

The food at the hotel restaurant was lush, and such a wide choice, and eating beside the pool on a lovely evening topped it off. The hotel is picturesque, particularly walking to the rooms under arches of flowers - really nicely thought out.

I have done a fair bit of traveling and this place has to be at the top.
Nice one guys, keep it up.

Comments:  Excellent accommodation, pool and beach. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was basic continental style, the evening meal however was a different story.

The hotel caters mainly for self catering so the evening meal was a set meal, which consisted of either fried chicken in breadcrumbs or grilled lamb rissoles, these choices alternated nightly though with different side veg. Turkish night was on the Tuesday with chicken or lamb with an array of pickled side salads.

Watch out for the lottery later in the evening, winners are taken to diamond/gold shop next day to receive winnings, also you will be shown jewellery which they will try to sell, which is extremely expensive, so beware. The med hotels rep never turned up, certainly never made us aware they were at the hotel.

The final grumble is the hotel is sandwiched between two others which play music quite loud and can be annoying..
