Village & Leisure Club Cheadle Hotel

All in all a good value hotel, good rate for 1 night with breakfast thrown in. There are a number of restauarants about a 10 minute walk away which had a good variety of options. The hotel is on the flight path, you can see the planes from the bedroom windows when they are taking off and landing, but didn't disturb me much.

Very nice clean complex. very friendly and fast check in . Stayed in superior family room quite spacious large king size bed with couch and large bathroom with shower\bath.Excellent spa facilities with large pool. Local members use this place so expect busy periods with families swiming ect. Main bar very busy but it was Friday night . We were warned of delay when ordering meal but a bit dissapointed to be served a good hour later. Stopped for one night, £60 for a double room (Saturday night) and was more than impressed with the value. Room, on 2nd floor, was spacious and clean and the double glazing made the overhead planes (almost) silent. The pool and spa facilities were excellent (avoid 'children' times' if you want to swim, though!) and the breakfast was good. Slap band under the flight bath of Manchester airport, walls as thin as paper and doors that seem built to slam, this isn't the place to go for a restlful night's sleep. When we went, the food in Sallinger's was appalling and the bar rammed full of drunken adults and over-ative children, skipping over the recently-deposited pile of vomit on the balcony. To top it all, you coulsn't open the windows more than two inches. However, the staff were friendly and helpful.

good breakfasts,plenty to eat. good choice of menu in the bar. can be noise in the rooms, if you have the windows open because of the planes flying to and from the airport. dont let that put you of staying there.

Stayed for five nights on business. Have to start by saying that the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and well looked after during our stay. The facilities in the room were as you would expect from a hotel that caters largely for business people. Sound proofing in the rooms was very good and necessary as the hotel seems to be on the main approach to the airport. Food in the bar was limited but there is a reasonably good restaurant. I've stayed at the Village Hotel about 6 times now on business, and have very mixed feelings about the place. On one occasion they had no record of my reservation at all, and kept me waiting for nearly an hour while the problem was sorted out - with no apology. I had a meeting there that evening until very late at night, and the mix-up meant I couldn't even have a shower beforehand, after spending 4 hours travelling up there.
