Marriott Hollins Hall Country Club Hotel

We wanted a base from which to visit the excellent Yorkshire Sculpture Park, the National Photography Museum in Bradford, and to go walking in the dales. We wanted a hotel which had good facilities so that we could take refuge there if the weather was poor. Hollins Hall seemed a reasonable choice based on the reviews and we stayed for 5 nights in early June. Excellent stay, would definately return.

Looked really nice on the website and had good reviews on this site and was not disappointed, really nice hotel,good location and well appointed rooms. Leisure centre was excellent with good pool, steam room ,sauna, weights and cardio gym. Changing rooms were also to a good standard. Property was very busy with weddings which did mean parking was difficult. Breakfast was excellent ,plenty of food and a lot of variety. Have just returned from a relaxing weekend at the Hollins Hall we were in a party of 10 and nothung was too much trouble. Enjoyed the leisure facatilies and the food was excellent. Only stayed Friday and Saturday night menu was same both nights but when we queried this we were offered an alternative menu. Would definatley return.

I stayed at this hotel recently and being a regular user of marriott hotels worldwide was expecting this hotel to be up to the standard of marriotts' other 4 star properties, but i was mistaken. The rooms are not up to marriotts usual standard but the real problem i had was with the some of the staff. Wonderful Hotel & Golf set in wonderful scenery. Staff very helpful and friendly. Food & lesiure Facilities excellent. Would highly recommend.

I stayed in this hotel for 3 days in September 2006. Breakfast excellent. Staff friendly, but poor service in the restaurant were the plates were so dirty that they spotted the tablecloth. Towels not impeccably clean and room pretty small. My silver cufflinks and aftershave vanished in the second day. I stayed on-line for about 40 minutes and I was charged 15GBP (price for 24hrs). My colleague was charged the price for a cab from the airport despite the car newer showed up. Lousy experience!
