The Thorpe Park Hotel

We stayed here for a one night getaway and relax; and despite the rather odd location had a lovely time. Although it is a business hotel, we found our room inviting and with enough space to lounge around in. The prices are quite expensive, but if you stay as part of a package deal, not so shocking. We were a little surprised by the location of the hotel as it is in the middle of a Business Park, but soon forgot about this when we entered the Hotel. There is a gorgeous open log fire as you walk through the doors into a beautiful Reception Area. The Reception Staff were very helpful, we had not booked for Dinner and, unfortunately, the Restaurant was fully booked, but they recommended a local Restaurant for us and booked us a table. We booked a 2 night package for new years eve 31 Dec & 1 Jan which included dinner B&B. We paid £430 which I though was very good value. The staff were very courteyous and friendly. This is a modern hotel with contemporary decor. The rooms are a good size and well equipped with tv, bose radio/cd player, kettle, iron, safe and lounge area. I stayed at this hotel in November 2005 for a spa weekend with a group of my friends. I paid £99 for one night. I felt this was excellent value for money as this price included a spa treatment (1 from a choice of 4), evening meal, breakfast and also the accommodation. The hotel is simply stunning. I stayed here October 2005 on business so it wasn’t chosen or paid for by me. I have to say it was a really pleasant surprise as most business hotels I am booked into are nothing more than functional. This was a real treat, something I would have chosen myself. Very pleasant and relaxing hotel. Spacious rooms, with complementary water, Bose CD player, etc. Good facilities. Food good without being remarkable. Somewhat remote location (by motorway in a business park) but ideal for a business stay.

Not many of us would be attracted to a hotel in an industrial park on the edge of the busiest motorway in Britain. However, the Thorpe Park Hotel carries it off wonderfully. This is a well run hotel, good rooms, excellent leisure facilities, first class food and most of all friendly and professional staff. The hotel is surrounded by lush planting shielding it from the view and noise of its neighbours creating a surreal atmosphere of calm and relaxation. As long as you have transport this is a first class hotel.

THis is a fantastic hotel in its class. Just come back from a weekend away with my mum and we were treated really well. Rooms large and very comfortable (particularly the bathrooms and beds), food plentiful, fresh and very high quality, wine not over-priced. All public areas beautifully kept and well styled. Top marks to the staff who are attentive without being intrusive, friendly and helpful. Faye at Reception particularly good. Out on the east side of Leed's is Thorpe Park. I have stayed at the hotel three or four times now. The lobby and bar area are smart and the "courtyard" area is very light and airy. The lobby and bar staff are friendly and efficient. The rooms are fine. Clean, well sized, good beds. They have Wi-fi available for internet access. The dining experiance can be a little ropey at times. They seem to churn staff though and as a result you get to deal sometimes with very inexperianced staff. Visit made in August 04. Usually unable to make so many references to separate staff members when writing a review but when people make such impact on you then it is very hard to forget a name! Graham, the conceirge, was excellent...a real northen gentleman, nothing was too much trouble for him!
