The Metropole Leeds Hotel

I was looking forward to my 2 night stay at The Met Hotel based in Leeds, when I checked in I was very happy with the friendliness of the staff, my room was over looking a pub and car park, not the best view. Things started to go down hill once bed time arrived, the heat was unbearable in the room, no air con so we were supplied with a fan, this only works for so long as it just ends up blowing the hot air around the room, opening the window was not an option as the noise from the pub was very loud even at 2am, still trying to get to sleep at 3am, apart from the heat and noise keeping me awake, other factors didnt help either, one being the overpowering light from the outside hallway shining thru the peep hole and thru the side and bottom of the door as the door had obviously been cut to short, also the noise from other people entering of leaving there rooms and letting there doors slam. The room above me had loose floor boards which were very noisy, they also had a sqeaky bed, they also must of had trouble sleeping as they seemed to be making a lot of noise pacing the floor and turning a lot in there bed. So very little sleep over the 2 nights I stayed, in a way I am pleased it was so hot and slept on top of the bed covers as to my horror I noticed the bed sheets were soiled when I pulled them back to find a lost ear ring, it was not a pretty sight. Will not use this hotel again and would not recommend it to anyone either.
