I have stayed in this hotel on several occasions and have always been very happy with my stay. It is right in the centre of Leeds so is great for a night out or just a shopping trip. The rooms were very clean and well equipped and the breakfast was excellent. There is... more

Just OK, but great location!
The location is very good - right in the heart of the city centre. The rooms are clean and average really...could do with being updated a little! Breakfast wasn't up to much considering that it cost me £15.
Good business hotel and great location
I have stayed at this hotel frequently for business. It is in an ideal location 4-5 minute walk from the train station. It's centrally located with a host of restaurants also walkable and adjacent to the main shopping streets. The staff of the hotel, from concierge, housekeeping and front desk are all very pleasant and helpful. This makes up for the fact there are several little problems that occur with each stay ... missing face clothes, fire alarms that go off frequently, and other little things -- nothing to really quit staying but enough to remain in the memory. I would recommend this hotel for a few reason .it's a marriott and if you are part of the loyalty scheme you'll get the points. The weekend rates are ideal, and the location can't be beat.
great location
great location in the city, however a concierge member directed us back out of the city 20mins as when calling for directions we were advised it was not a city centre location, only to find after an hour of chasing our tails we were actually around the corner when we called them in the ifrst place. on arriving the staff were so extremely friendly and helpful offering advise on where to eat etc. we travelled there with a baby, and were given room on teh first floor, via a lift, excellent, however on leaving the lift we foundour room was actually down a flight on 12 stairs, not accessible via a lift, so having to cart the pushchair and our bags up and down the stairs were a nightmare. i must say the room was small and very old fashioned, very dark wood furnitre. used the room service, great food once you could actually get through to them, an hour it took us. all in all, great location and value for money. i would stay there again
Perfect location, nice staff
After reading the many positive reviews on this site I decided to book a room in this hotel in August. I found most things I read to be true. Staff is really friendly and nice. Location is perfect, just around the corner from the train station and the shops. Room was clean and good sized, although decoration was a bit too classic (i.e. old fashioned) for my taste. Good bathroom. I also really liked the breakfast, nice fresh fruit, lots of different cereals and the English breakfast looked very extensive, I only had cereals but I saw that they even served black pudding. The service was fast, as soon as you sat down, a waitress came and asked if you wanted coffee or tea. Room service was also really fast, I booked a Thai red curry dish (very nice, bit small) one night and it arrived within half an hour (if it's not delivered within a certain time, I think 45 minutes, you don't have to pay for it) Leeds is very easy to reach from the airport (only 25 minutes with a bus, 1.90 GBP). I was a bit disappointed by the city itself. I thought the city lacks character and although there are many shops for different budgets I prefer the shops in London. Apparently there's a good clubbing scene, but I was on my own, so didn't see any pubs or clubs. If you want to visit this area (I recommend York and the Yorkshire moors) I would definitely recommend this hotel!
old, dated and poor service
Leeds marriott, don't be fooled by the brand name, don't be fooled by the foyer when you walk in. The rooms are dated, too hot and the beds are far too small. It takes 25 minutes to boil an egg in the leeds marriott, even soft boiled! The room service we ordered arrived after 45 minutes and was cold, the wine came with no glasses and we were told to use the beakers in the room! We sent this back and decided to go out and try and get some food, and we thought that the service was due to them being busy, not so
Nice hotel. Room needed a refurb
Not a bad price for this hotel at £39 pppn B&B through hotel connections. The hotel was nice inside with lovely Xmas decorations especially the tree! The room was very dusky and in need of decoration, the heating system ment i found the room stuffy and quite hard to breath. I ordered room service which i waited 2 hours and several phone calls later. In the end I decided to leave it as i was too tired! The next day they did give me a free sandwich for me and my partner to my troubles! I would go here again but i would give it a much higher rating if the room was nicer.
one of my favourites
My husband and myself stay here regularly, at least once every two months. The Friday night special is superb value and you can often get a king size bed. We have eaten at the restaurant several times and I can say that the food is the best I have eaten in any Marriott hotel and I have stayed in many across the world. Service is great. The pool and leisure faciliies are really welcome, and Leeds as a city is a great place to visit. We have also eaten at the Italian restaurant about 100 metres from the hotel and that is lovely as are some of the traditional pubs in the area. I have just booked again for October, in fact it is the one place I would go if ever I had a free weekend-the theatres are good even though the Grand is closed for refurbishment we have seen some fantastic productions at Yorkshire Playhouse within easy walking distance form the Marriott. Stay here and you will not regret it.
Loved it
After a business trip I decided to spend a night in Leeds prior to returning home. By chance the dates searched for were quite expensive in most Hotels. After time and patience, I got a good rate at the Marriott the 30th July(Sat). Although a litlle difficult to find, it was worth the find. What a lovely Hotel. Service brilliant room brilliant! No faults except breakfast was a little greasy(A feable excuse) Will definately go back providing the price is right!!.
Excellent Hotel
We stayed here last friday night on the £50 offer. This hotel is excellently placed for Leeds City Centre. Room was spacious and clean and the service was excellent. Worst bits - breakfast at £15 Best bits - breakfast in BHS over the road I would definitely stay here again.
