Jurys Inn obviously attracts the younger crowd and so my first 2 nights were disturbed by early morning revellers making a real racket! The rest of the week was disturbed by noisy pipes and a dreadful air con system. The hotel is out of date and in need of a refurb. The... more

No complaints at all....
Stayed here for one night after the Wireless festival in Leeds in June 06. Got a good deal at £49 per room. Check in was speedy, and our room on the 10th floor was fine. Comfy bed, nice clean bathroom. Had a drink in the bar when we retuned home - pint of Grolsh was £3. Probably about 10 mins walk from the train station. Nice friendly staff - as you'd expect from a Jury's. Will certainly stay again.
Very good!
My husband and I went to the Jurys Inn for one night last week for my birthday. We booked with Lastminute and paid £49. The hotel was very clean and modern. The room was very cozy and so was the bed. The hotel was a 5 minute walk from all of the major stores. The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. The hotel provides the use of one of their safes for free, which is very handy for any items you don't want to leave in the room. They provide hair/body wash, but you do need to bring toothpaste. The water in the shower was hot, which is... more
Nice rooms, shame about the food
On arriving at the hotel I was told that I'd have to buy a ticket for the street parking and leave it on the windshield. Not particularly useful advice to somone clad in motorcycle gear. The rooms are spacious enough and comfortable. The reception area is big, clean and impressive. The hotel is on the edge of the trendy city centre, and the walks around the river by the hotel nice. The restaurant is dire though. The waiting staff appear to be entirely made up of foreign students in their gap year. I heard one diner trying to... more
A nice hotel with lovely staff
This is a standard three-star business hotel close to the city centre of Leeds. Rooms are a fair size and are nicely furnished. They lack the 'little extras' one might expect to find in a four-star hotel (such as a trouser press, an iron, and tioletries in the bathroom). However, all rooms have an internet connection and tea- and coffee-making facilities are provided. Best of all, rooms and bathrooms are spotlessly clean (even though the bathrooms seemed very old-fashioned for such a new hotel!). All the equipment in the room and the... more
Nice Staff, Patchy Food
I had stayed here once before just after it had opened and thought the problems with the food was teething trouble. This time, I ate in the bar twice and thought both meals were adequate but good value, however, I noticed other guests were complaining about food being cold, steak not cooked right and I guess the teething problems are continuing. Walking into town is the only other alternative apart from a Brasserie almost next door. The breakfast was average hotel fayre, nothing special, nothing wrong with it. The only other problem... more
New hotel, excellent location, friendly staff
For the price I paid I thought this was an excellent hotel in a fab location for the city centre. I would recommend this to anyone.
Some good points, Some bad points
I stayed at this hotel with my fiance for a weekend. The hotel was nice and clean but whenever we needed any help most of the staff could not speak fluent english. The evening meal was ok but nothing special, but the breakfasts are really nice so would advise going elsewhere for dinner but its worth getting your breakfast. Would go back again if could get a good deal but otherwise would try elsewhere.
Wonderful Staff
I stayed at Jurys Leeds for a few days while on a business trip to Leeds. I could not believe the hotel was 18 months old as it was sparkling you would think it was only open a week. This is a standard business hotel. Good level of comfort, fairly good location, nicely decorated but what sets this hotel apart is the wonderful staff. You find the same faces everywhere, the person who checks you in could be the person serving you dinner the following evening. Everyone is helpful, friendly and hospitable. They are genuinely... more
first impressions.....oh, dear
Its true what people say. You never get a second chance to make a first impression. My first visit here and my major problem was the restaurant. While the hotel looks nice, the room was fine (but given it is obviously used by so many business people, why no trouser press?), I would consider dining elsewhere. The look is very 60's, which wouldn't be a problem if the food had been fab. Due to poor staff training, My first choice for main course was not available. This was informed to me 10 mins after I ordered. The starter... more
