Sheffield Park Hotel

stayed here for one night and was pleasantly surprised.rooms basic but clean.reception was very pleasant and plenty of parking.internet connection in room was useful but a little expensive .£15 for a day.overall i would stay here again as it is easy to find from motorways etc and good value for money

My husband and I stayed for one night and were impresssed with the double room. Nicely furnished, modern and looked newly decorated. Complimentary bottled water was a nice touch and all the usual room facilities you would expect of a 4* hotel. We had to ask at reception for a member of staff to serve drinks in the bar and while we were there other people came through and had to do the same. We ate in the restaurant and thought the food very good. They were busy and seemed under staffed with many people waiting for service. Good breakfast... more

on arriving the hotel looked very nice and clean, after being checked into a non smoking room to find it was actually smoking and goin back to reception for another room they gave me another room which still smelt of smoke. i found chips under the bed and hairs on the floor it had not been properly cleaned, the staff were awful, the reception supervisor was arrogant and would not listen to anythin when complaining about the food, which looked like it had been warmed up from the previous day. terrible hotel will never go there again

We recently stayed at this hotel, our room was very good, clean and bright. modern decor. we used the pool which was small but adaquate. We used a taxi to take us into town which cost approx £9.00. no problems and would revisit if staying in sheffield again..

I stayed at the sheffield park hotel whilst attending a conference. The rooms weren't particularly luxurious but they were comfortable and in good order. The staff were very helpful and friendly and took a lot of time to help us with a trip we had planned. The room service was also very reasonable and the leisure facilities fine.

My son and I stayed at the Sheffield Park in August 2004, we found the hotel clean and tidy. The staff were efficient and pleasant, facilities were good. I had read poor reviews on the hotel and was aprehensive before arriving but I would certainly book again.

I had two rooms for one night in March 2004. Neither of the rooms werte properly clean and there was pubic hair in the bath in my daughter's room. We were promised quiet rooms and they put us either side of a room occupied by a very noisy family who were living there while their house was being re-built following a fire. The children were aged about 2 and 4 and they were understandibly very noisy and their mother was constantly shouting. The staff grudgingly gave us different rooms but owing to a computer failure, I couldn't get into mine... more

Stayed at this hotel one night only(fortunately) on 24/01/04. The hotel was shabby and requires a complete overhaul - specifically the rooms and the corridors to the rooms eg loads of divots in the walls, peeling wall paper, chipped paint work, scuff marks on skirting etc. The rooms ( x3 double ) were filthy !!. Cob webs ( 10" in diameter - yes really !!) in 2 corners of the room, net curtains complete with nasty brown stains ?. Bed throw complete with very suspect stains. Coffee stains down side of dressing table. Kettle filthy around... more
