Room given to me was really small and food was of bad quality. Staff unfriendy and busy in hugs and kisses behind the bar. Had to wait 20 mins to get served and that too when i went up to the bar as the barman and the girl behind the bar were busy in their love life. Breakfast was good but that was enough to makeup for the bad night i had.

The family room we were allocated was really spacious. We stayed on a 1st night free meal and bed & breaakfast deal which was fantastic value.
The room was lovely and clean and the leisure facilities were enjoyed by us all. (2 adults 2 Children).
You need a car to stay at this hotel and the only down side is the cost of the car park I can not see why they need to charge as the hotel is not in the city centre. Also the charge for internet use is very high they even charge in the public area So this is why I have marked the hotel down.

I have read the other 3 reviews, and two of them give the hotel a dreadful review, and the other one gives it an excellent one. Mine is in between!
The good points - location is city centre, ideal for everything. The food was very good, lovely evening meal and service was excellent. The breakfast selection was varied and plentiful.
staff were generally very helpful
The bad - location - a clock right outside that chimed throughout the night, and generally very noisy.
Disabled room not available - even though we had to confirm after making the booking that one had been booked.
The ok - car parking. valet parking, but there were some girls who had checked out before us, who were waiting an hour, as the keys had been mislaid. Our car was then blocked in as another car parked right in front.
The bar was ok, not one of the best Hilton ones.
The room was also ok - nothing wrong, a bit quirky, and we were up in the loft - and the lift did not go up that far.
Difficult to get a table at breakfast as very busy.
I would not go there again - if I was with our disabled relative. I would consider it if it was just the two of us, although would not be top of our list.

I booked this hotel for myself and three friends for a girlie weekend and we found it to be just lovely.
We didn’t stay for breakfast or dinner so I cannot comment on the food but the reception staff and the concierge were very helpful.
We were greeted at the door and our car was taken away to be parked and it was waiting there for us right on time when we were ready to leave.
The room was beautiful. It consisted of a king-size bed, a double bed and a single to three quarter bed.
There were only 4 of us but there was plenty room for at least 6. The room was also very modern and very clean.
Also there was fresh fruit, water, wine and chocolates in our room on arrival.
The hotel is in a great location, literally 2 minute walk from the shops.
And I would definitely recommend it to anyone thinking of going there and can’t wait to go back again myself.

Please, please stay clear of this hotel. In my opinion, serious changes to management of this hotel. Fact, no heating in reception, bar or restaurant - the place was littered with portable warmers which made a noise. Also, black cable to the portable warmers were looses and a serious threat to health and safety - an obvious "trip" hazard.
Fact. checked in at 3pm - room not ready. We waited a further 1 hour before they were ready. Fact, out of the two rooms we booked - one room had fresh fruit, wine and mineral water - the other didn't.
Fact, out of the 2 deluxe rooms we booked, one had a queen sized double, the other had a king plus size bed! Seemed like 1 rule for 1 guest, another for another.
Fact, hotel decor was tired and worn (in general).
Fact, our room on the 1st floor had squeaky floorboards, and I MEAN SQUEAKY - so did the room above, hence, we enjoyed a sleepless night!
Fact, bar staff gave poor service. On a busy night, the manager stepped in to serve, served me and it took him a good 10 minutes to master the till! Midway through serving me he was on his mobile! Great! Ordered coffee a couple of times which took ages to come. Ordered drinks one night - the barman dropped them on our table (my wife had to get changed), he did apologise and gave us free pretzels, but he dropped these as he walked through the bar area and had to get the vacuum cleaner out! Also Ordered cocktails from off the menu! Our party were given 5 black Russians - without the cola! Nice! Bar man asked US if he had made them correctly... "hmmm".
Fact, complaints made to reception regarding rooms, met with stony silences. To shrug their shoulders was an insult to HILTON.
Fact, Restaurant - asked for menu one early afternoon for our evening meal. They couldn’t find a menu. I waited a good 5 minutes before I was handed a stained A4 sheet of paper and told this was not up to date. Asked again for recent copy. The lady run off and came back with another A4 sheet of paper and told me that she needs to photocopy it. I asked her to bring it too me once she had copied it. She never returned. Eventually I got it! Was glad to see free champagne on arrival.
Fact, evening meal - no free champagne on arrival - had to argue with waiter. Eventually he brought us a flat glass of champers. Great.
Fact, ordered bottle of Champagne with meal. Brought an overflowing holder to table which saturated the floor. As the night progressed, the watered floor turned to a muddy sludge all the way down the restaurant. A nice intimate meal.... food was good. Ordered coffee, it never arrived. Ho hum. Menu stipulated "free gift for ladies". No free gift as we didn’t book the table 4 weeks in advance, even though we are residents (and spent £300 in the bar the night before!). Evening meal consisting of a Lamb dish, consisted of NO just (gravy).
Fact, restaurant - at breakfast, rather busy - rushed waitresses. Allocated table by waitress only to be shifted by other guests as this was their table (they had only gone to the buffet to get food). We had to wait a further 30 minutes and were told to leave the restaurant.
Fact, the sauna in the pool was not working. No sign or explanation. Finally, I hope this report gets published as I want people to know how bad this place is. I won't be returning.

For a four star hotel this is a disaster. The rooms are tiny the beds are lumpy and the food in the restaurant is a joke. We were booked in for two nights on champagne deal but cut our losses and checked out after one. I wrote to the manager to point out the abysmal standard of his hotel and the fact that he still owed us the champagne. He responded by offering us a free night. I’m still waiting for the champagne.

This hotel is very deciving, it looks awful from the outside but then you walk in and the reception and bar looks posh. The carpark is stupid, £20 a night and very small but we had to park in Trinty multistory carpark across the road and that was cheaper £16 as unless you know Nottingham you can't get to the carpark as only taxi's and buses are allowed down the road that the hotel carpark joins onto. We was on the 3rd floor. Room was very small. Wallpaper was outdated and not cut straight, radiator was hanging off the wall, the cupboard moved when you opened it, window was bolted down obviously with it been the 3rd floor but still no air so it will be even worser during the summer, 1" gap underneath the main door so we had to put the suitcase against the door when we went to bed. It was dusty and we woke up to dust on our mobile phones, the face clothes were not washed with normal washing powder as it stank of bleech after they had been put under water and stung my guys eye, bed was very small considering it was ment to be a double 1 and the duvet was rock hard and you may aswell sleep on the floor as you have more chance of sleeping, curtains were more like what old people would have in their houses and the net curtains looked years old and need replacing, floorboards moved, no handwash, heard people from above and below us so we hardly slept, heard nightclubs and pubs and church bells with it not been double glazed so that also kept us awake. We was ment to be having breakfast but we didn't bother as we was so tired and sick of it that we went straight home but you could smell the breakfast burning and the breakfast was near the main entrance in the bar area. Only good thing was there was taxi's outside but you get that in most hotels so that's nothing new
