Holiday Inn Express Bolton Hotel

Stayed here for 2 nights with wife and 2 1/2 year old. (Were here for a wedding). Overall impression of the hotel is that it offers pretty good value. For £49 incl breakfast you can't complain too much. Minor gripes were that the bathroom needed updating and is too small, and the noise comes through the walls from the adjacent rooms. Stayed at the hotel over the bank holiday weekend, the staff was excellent and couldnt do enough to help. The room was very spotless! The breakfast, reception staff and manager were all polite and friendly and I look forward to meeting them all again! I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a value for money, clean, friendly hotel!

Just got back from a few nights staying here visiting friends in the area. Hotel was perfect for everything I needed. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Excellent and powerful shower in the bathroom (good for waking you up in the morning!). Hotel does not really have any facilities of it's own apart from serving continental breakfast in the morning. Very convenient location just off J6 of the M61 and right next door to the Reebok stadium. Small but perfectly formed bathroom and good sized room. Complimentary self serve and self-make breakfast area next to lobby. Very good value for an overnight stop-over. Staff very friendly and professional.

Clean and pleasant and very close to shopping and dining. We were in the area to do some ancestry research (my grandfather was born in Horwich). This hotel made for a perfect central location for us to travel about the area. Didn't get a chance to see the Bolton Wanderers FC which is right across the street but will try next time. The pub and restauarant across the parking lot were also very nice and accommodating.

Comfortable hotel, perfect location for the Reebok Stadium and the retail park. Also close by is the beautiful countryside at Rivington. Easy access from Horwich Parkway Station (2 minutes walk) and guaranteed parking on a match day make it a good budget option if the Whites is full or is more than you want to pay. You don't get a bar or a pool but you do get a complimentary breakfast of toast and cereal and the cappucino machine is free of charge throughout the day.

My daughter and I are just back from a 2 night stay at this hotel. It was fairly basic, but lived up to our expectations on the whole. The room was in reasonable order and very clean. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast staff looked a bit more harassed and rushed. On the 2nd night there were some noisy people in the room above us, but the night porter was already dealing with it when I went down to complain. Did we stop at the same holiday inn as the last reviewer, yes actually we did. No problems at all, clean, tidy, all staff ( except the female breakfast attendant) very polite and helpful. A good continental style breakfast, quick check in. Recommended for an inexpensive convenient place to stay.

We booked a non smoking double room more than a couple of months in advance, and I called the hotel almost every week to confirm the booking. Now you may be thinking that I'm taking things too far here? Great HI Express as Usual. Modern with great value rooms. Within 200m of the Reebok stadium. It's a 10 minute drive from Central Bolton, but if just passing through or using the stadium, it's ideal. Has 2 pub/restaurants on site and a retail park full of shops and fast food places within walking distance.
