Hotel Description:

The Hilton Bristol Hotel's modern comforts contrast well with the treasures of the past which can be enjoyed in the area, such as the SS. Great Britain, at the city docks, Chepstow Castle and the Cheddar Gorge. The hotel has a well equipped leisure club including swimming pool, sauna and gym and a restaurant serving British and continental cuisine.

" My husband, my daughter (6) and... "

My husband, my daughter (6) and myself stayed at the Hilton, Bristol, for two nights at the end of July.

We booked a Hilton special deal which included 2 nights' accommodation, 2 breakfasts and dinner on the first evening for a set price...we paid £129 all in, which is excellent value for money. My daughter stayed and ate for free!

We have stayed at several Hilton hotels and have always had a good time. We thought that the Hilton Bristol had a lot to offer. It is close not only to Bristol, but to the lovely beaches of North Somerset. We visited a lovely animal park on our full day there and have vowed to return to visit the Cheddar Gorges.

Our hotel was very comfortable, fulfilling our Hilton expectations. Our one disappointment was that the restaurant did not feature the famous Hilton carvery. We chose our evening meal from the Table d’hôte menu...it was very good, but the choice was limited. Also, the wine list is very expensive...£16.50 being the cheapest bottle on offer!

Nonetheless, I would recommend a Hilton mini-break to anyone...with or without a young family. My favourite to date must be the Hilton Bracknell...just down the road from Legoland, and handy for Thorpe Park and Chessington too.
