The Vermont Hotel is very well situated next to the Castle and right on the edge of the main central shopping area.
The rooms are clean and well equipped, but I found the price to be a little too high for the size of room and the comfort level. There is a train line running very close to the hotel, and if your room is on that side and you are a light sleeper, your sleep may be disturbed.
The hotel is used as a conference / meeting centre, so is well suited to the business traveller. Scores highly for location, not so high for comfort, though still a nice place to stay.
