Hilton Newcastle Gateshead Hotel

Must say this has to be by far the worst hotel i have stayed in a long time. I work for British Airways and travel the world frequently staying at hotels rated 4*+. I had problems with arrival as my reservation was cancelled twice, i could not get my upgrade being a Hilton Honours Diamond Member. They decided to give all the best rooms to a rowdy stag party after they caused problems the first night.
I was charged for car parking even though I did not park a car or arrive in one and when I queried this on check out I was subjected an embarrassing inquisition in front of other guests.
On ordering rooms service, firstly I requested the food be sent to the Executive Lounge and was refused this pleasure even though I was paying a top rate for a suite for 3 nights over the weekend, and the food arrived. My order was lamb and unfortunately was still frozen in the centre and tough and rubbery on the outside, veg was burnt. My partners pizza was of course frozen and out of a supermarket freezer section. The bedroom was not cleaned in 3 days only the bed sheets were turned up!!! surely what kind of standard is this.
The general manager was very obnoxious when I had asked to highlight these problems, I was simply ignored and told to fill out a simply and brief comment card.
I would seriously warn anybody not to consider this hotel as a location my 3 days were awful and what was a start to a great weekend away was hell.
