What an awful place! Where do I start? The rooms, dirty and old. I had a three night stay, the first night the duvet covers had stains on them (blood and semen). I complained about this and they were changed, to ripped duvets, oh well. The toilet then broke and would not flush. The walls between the rooms are so thin i could hear chatting and partying all night from a conference group, I complained to the night porter about this 6 times, having to walk to reception 3 of these as she was sat down in the lounge not answering any phones, with from what was going on i would presume her boyfriend. I booked dinner in the restaurant for me and my husband the next evening, the food was ok, service was good. Odviously the general manager did not think so. This women I have never before seen people treated like this in a professional environment (I had seen her drinking in the bar for two hours beforehand, and consequently every night of my stay, often serving herself behind the bar). She was shouting at the staff, at another manager infront of a room full of people, when they were odviusly under staffed and running around like headless chickens. We then went back to our room, housekeeping had odviously not been in. Bed still had the same sheets on, and our towels had not ben replaced. I called and some were bought to me.
Breakfast was also an unpleasant experience. Again the General Manager was shouting at a member of staff in the kitchen just behind the doors, so everyone was watching yet again. The food was running out very quickly and the poor women who was serving was odviously run off her feet again. My third day seemed better, good food and service again in the restaurant and lounge, a lovely man on reception. No noise, that is until about 2am when it sounded as if a full blow riot was going on in the room next to us, this went out for some time and after my third phone call i gave up. I complained upon check ing out to the receptioninst who also turned out to be the manager for the morning, (I asked to speak to someone senior, this was not possible as the general manager was not available to speak to me- at 8am when i had just watched her strol of with a coffee) I was met with hostility and a meger apology. I would not reccomend this hotel. It is by far the worst place I have stayed.
