This is a fantastic hotel that I would recommend to anyone. The service is fabulous and the rooms are lovely. All the hotel is kept clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. All branded drinks, both soft and alcoholic. We hope to return next year as we feel we cannot get any better than this hotel. Brilliant!!!!

Fabulous holiday for families or couples
We have just returned from the Cornelia having spent 2 weeks there from the 14th July. This was a fantastic holiday I really could not fault anything about our stay. The staff are so warm, friendly, obliging and work extremely hard so that you enjoy your holiday. I have never returned from a holiday before where I could'nt fault it, even a little!. The hotel itself is so clean and well maintained, the food is excellent in the main hotel with such a varied choice and also in the a la carte restaurants. The swimming pools are extremely clean and well maintained. There are lots of beds all around the pool area and also on the beach. We really feel that we have returned from our holiday having been thoroughly spoiled. We are a family with 4 children who are 10, 8, 5, and 1, all of which had a great time. The staff really put a lot of effort into the evening entertainment and there was also outside entertainment on several evenings. The Gala evenings are great witha lot of thought and effort gone into them. The entertainment in the evening is multi-lingual so that no one feels left out, they really make an effort here and it brings everyone together. I love the way the Turkish staff were with the children, so friendly, warm and genuine. We would definetely return to this hotel and so would my parents who came with us.
Perfect!
It was a perfect place for relaxation! You don't have to worry about anything there. Everything is perfectly taken care of: food, accommodation.. The locals are really frindly and the entire hotel staff is there to make your stay the best one you have ever had. When the agency recommended me this hotel, I never imagined it was so.. breathtaking. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to rest and enjoy the sea..
Great place to relax and indulge
We went to the Cornelia on the 18th June for a week and stayed in one of the villa junior suites. Check in:- We had an awful flight time into Turkey meaning we turned up at 4am-ish at the resort. We turned up to be greeted extremely enthusiastically by a porter who rushed immediately to me to stop me carrying a case the few feet to reception, and then were dealt with by a great guy on the check in desk who worked his magic to ensure we had one of the higher rooms with the steps down rather than the pool-level room originally allocated. This is a long-winded way of saying that the good service commenced as soon as we got on the property and was maintained throughout. Room:- The room we were taken to was quite large with 3 "levels". At the top is the bathroom with sunken jacuzzi, shower, toilet etc. Sliding doors then allow you to come down to the bed (large) and TV (small); down some steps again is the sitting area with well stocked fridge (inclusive obviously) and another TV. This led out to the balcony and steps down to the pool. The room was very bright and a little clinical, but was well kept (kind of reminded me of hotels I've stayed in for business in Germany in terms of decor) Pool:- The villas had a kind of free-form pool area with a dedicated bar (which at night converted to one of the a la carte restaurants). This was nice, convenient and pretty quiet. The main pool was a short walk away behind the main hotel building and this was where the "action" was in terms of games, beach volleyball, music, waterslides etc. We actually spent most of our time here in the days despite our lovely pool area (which we tended to use it at that 4-6pm time when you're looking to drift back to the room and freshen up) Restaurants:- I've got to admit we did not eat at the main restaurant once in the evening. We actually managed to get booked in one of the 4 a la carte restaurants (seafood, Turkish, Chinese and "continental") every night, except gala evening which was served by the pool. I must admit I had a kind of unfounded snobbishness about doing all-inclusive in Europe (I can understand it in places like the Caribbean where it is not as easy to get out to restaurants, but Europe is not the same). Having said that I was really pleasantly surprised - compared to some of the Caribbean places this was very good and the a la carte restaurants had great, attentive service and pleasant surroundings with entertainment etc. We did try the main restaurant for lunch and the choice seemed great (and quality was good). Mainly we ate at the pool bar in the day, which was also table service. By the way - from a drinks perspective, there are quite a few named brands, and measures are generous. They only appeared to have 1 house wine brand, but were extremely liberal with it... Other random stuff: - gala evening was great (some good acts booked, fireworks and well laid out round the pool); grounds were nice and pools clean; cosmopolitan mix of people staying there; no shortage of beds (so no early rush); beach just "OK" (worth a walk up to see some of the nearby resort hotels); nice pier with breeze and great giant cushions; no pressure for tipping - just boxes on counters to pop some cash in when you feel like it Downside: - no apparent facilities on check out day for late collection e.g. courtesy room(s) people can use to shower and dress. They were fine allowing people to use their spa facilities, but this was cramped and got a bit hectic when everyone went at similar time.
Luxury, in a great location
We stayed in this hotel for 1 week at the end of June. The hotel itself is stunning. Very large and set on the beach front which was great as we had a 3year old with us. We had a junior suite which was set at the back end of the hotel so was nice and peaceful if you didnt want to be in amoung the games at the main pools round the front. The room was very spacious and came with a huge bed, big enough to easily fit 3 adults, a jacuzzi, walk in shower and seperate toilet area. These rooms are also situated with direct access to the pool from your balcony. No need to go out early to reserve sun loungers at the main pool as you could sit in your balcony and soak up the sun with the pool a foot away. The only thing that spoilt the holiday for us was the food. The first 2 or 3 days were great. Choice of meatballs, chicken, spag bol, chips etc. But the selection didnt change much over the whole week so by days 4 and 5 we were sick of eating the same meals. Most meats were seasoned so you couldnt have just a plain chicken breast, it would taste like kebab. The restaurant seemed to cater more for the German visitors ( ill just point out now, they are ALL VERY ignorant, they push you out the way at the buffet to get the food before you, they even pushed my 3 year old son out the way and on a few occasions knocked him down and didnt even stop to say sorry ) Not a lot of Brittish seem to go to this hotel, you will meet a few but like I said most are German. Staff are very pleasant and love kids. Not all staff speak much english so it can get a bit difficult to speak to them but there is a rep at the reception who is fluent in all languages so if you have any problems speak to her and she will translate to the reception staff. Overall this is a great hotel, but the food and the lack of Brittish visitors lets it down.
Jet Set Holiday!!
My family, consisting of 4 adults and one baby recently returned from a two week all inclusive holiday at this hotel. This was our second stay at the hotel as we had a week during April 2005 which was so good but went so quick, we just had to return for the full monty!! The hotel is set on the beach, in a group of approximately 6 other all inclusive hotels, all of which have private beach fronts. This hotel has an immediate 'Wow' factor as soon as you arrive at the front security barriers! It is semi circular in design and the front bedrooms overlook the huge swimming pools (which meander from inside the lounge area of the hotel all the way to a lawn area and beach!) and the Med. The rooms situated on the sides of the hotel have 'partial' sea views but mainly overlook the neighbouring hotel. All the rooms are large, with even the 'standard' rooms having his and her dressing gowns and slippers. If they are in your budget range then go for the 'suite de luxe' which are situated at the end of each of the five floors and have huge patio type doors from the bedroom, leading out to the balcony, which is in fact a sun terrace complete with sun loungers!! These rooms also have a jacuzzi which overlooks the pool ane beach!. The staff at the hotel (of which there appears to be hundreds) are the friendliest, happiest and most helpfull people I have ever met on a foriegn holiday. The also love to speak to the english speaking guests, to improve their own language skills, and as a result you tend to have your own waiters who stick with you and help when you require it. We found this useful when in the resturants! There are 5 resturants, 3 being theme al a carte resturants ( Chinese, Turkish and Fish) which require 24 hours notice of booking, the poolside bar and the main resturant. All three of the al a carte resturants are free and can be visited on one occasion each per week. This is a must as they serve excellent food in a very authentic way, including picking your own fish when in the fish resturant! The main resturant is huge and doubles up as the dining room for breakfast. Tables are both inside the resturant and also on a large verranda just ouside, which is very pleasant during the hot months. ( Noit recommended during April and early May!) This resturant serves approximately 50 different starters from fish, through to veg, including brussel sprouts! and fruit, such as strawberries! You have to move fast to get to the strawberries as the Russian guests usually get platefulls WITH their starters and keep returning to them throughout their meal! The main courses consist of approximately 6 different meats but have lots and lots of different ways of cooking them, together with just about every veg, rice and type of potato going. (Their mashed potato takes some beating!) To describe the hotel in words and do it justice is not possible! All I can say is that if you think of a hotel, suitable to send contestants winning the Lottery Jet Set game then this is where you would send them!! The only 'down' side is that this hotel has predominently Russian and German guests, with a very few Brits and Scandinavian guests, ( there were 24 Brits in the hotel dfuring our stay). We found the Russian guests to be very rude and ignorant towards the staff and towards other non Russian guests, but it would appear to be their way so we just let them get on with it and enjoyed our stay.
Relaxing stay...
My partner and I spent a week at Cornelia in mid June. We were generally very happy with our stay and enjoyed a relaxing week. There a couple of minor gripes which are listed later on. Generally the place was extremely clean and well run with friendly service from the staff. The common areas were spacious and well kept. The resort had a mixture of lots of nationalities, and there was a erqual proportion of families and couples. The resort was long but quite narrow, and there was a resort on either side which did create additional noise. Rooms: the room we had was spacious and well appointed. Included were all the things the brochures would list inlcuding TV, bath robe, bath room fully supplied, king size bed, balcony, air conditioning (very important as it was very hot) and mini bar (restocked every day). For english speakers TV channels available were BBC news, CNN and two english movie channels with turkish sub titles. There was also Eurosport but the commentary was in German. There were loads of other channels in different languages. 24 hr room service available, quick delivery and ok food. Pools: the pools area was kept emaculate as was the pool. Cleaned every day and not to over powering with chemicals. Plenty of sun loungers around or near the pool. As with many resorts the best ones get snapped up relatively early. Get there before 8:30 to claim a spot with your towel if you are fusy. Towels are replaceable each today. There are plenty of families there with children who can be quite nosiy. The pool area is multi level, take the upper level away from the slides and kids club for more piece and quiet. Food: well above average, one main buffet restaurant with 4 a l a carte. The a la carte need to be booked the day before at reception (get in quick). We found the food no better than the buffet so after two visits gave up and just went to the buffet. The advantage is the quieter environment and you are waited upon. The selection in the buffet for all meals was extensive but didn't change that much each day. Food was also available in different locations around the pool. Baked potatoes (very popular around 4pm), ice creams, salads, flat breads with various fillings (recommended) were all available at various times. Bars: bars sold well known drink brands (no locally brands I could see) inlcuding Gordons, Jim Beam and Tuborg (beer). Enough bars to provide fast and friendly service. Staff: very friendly and helpful. Most spoke enough english or tried very hard. A times the service could be a bit enthusiastic (see below). Events, meal areas etc were set up with army like precision and speed. We were there during the football world cup. The staff were good enough to set up a projector in a air conditioned conference room to show all the games. They even set up a temporary bar in the room and waited on fans as they watched the game - much appreciated by the many sports fans!! Services: there were plenty on offer most at an additional charge, cost in Euros in [] if known - tennis courts (bring your own racquets - the hire ones were expensive and low quality) [10 for 1 hr], spa servies [40 up], bowling alley [6 for two/game], playstation area [free], pool tables [free] etc. Actvities were organised throughout the day incl. volleyball, water polo etc Location: relatively new area with not much around. We didn't venture out at all but there were excursions offered but most seemed to go on saturday and unfortunately we arrived on friday night. Things to note / gripes: we went there for a relaxing week and to forget about work. As noted before there were alot of familes with young children with differing levels of consideration and parental control. If young children running around may irritate you then maybe look for a resort where children are not allowed. The other minor gripe was the at times over enthusiastic service. Protecting your half finished plate or glass from over eager waters while taking a break in eating having a conversation was not unusual. Could be a bit annoying, but if you made it clear that you wanted to be left alone that generally worked. Overall very happy. We have never been to any one place twice, but would consider returning here.
Ultimate Luxury!
Hi, I'm Turkish and my husband is English. In June 2004, we had our wedding at National Golf Club in Belek and stayed at Cornelia for 2 weeks with 40+ guests from England, Turkey, Ireland, Danmark and the US. As a Turk, naturally, I've stayed at many 5* hotels in Turkey as well as top luxury ones in other parts of the world such as Oberoi Mauritius, Burj in Dubai etc. and I cannot praise and recommend Cornelia enough. As well as being a fantastic destination, it is simply great value for money with its “Deluxe All Inclusive” concept. (Not a "locally produced drinks are included" All Inclusive, it is all branded drinks such as Gordon, Bacardi..) Although we did not have the wedding at the hotel, everybody knew about us and all our guests were made extremely comfortable and welcome. Sales Manager Banu Dak could not do enough for us and our guests. I cannot praise her enough. High levels of professionalism and attention to detail was remarkable. As the host, I did not have to worry about a thing. As I said we had guests from different countries and cultures and everybody agreed on one thing that "Cornelia was one of the best hotels they had ever been if not The Best". As many reviews mentioned below, the rooms, the food, the pools, everything is exceptionally good. I normally dislike all inclusive places because of the buffet and queues etc but never tasted any buffet food this good and freshly cooked throughout the day. A la Carte restaurants are excellent(highly recommend the fish restaurant by Villa Junior Suites, you can listen to live piano while you're eating)and it is definitely worth spending a bit extra for a Villa Junior Suite with a direct access to a pool from your balcony...Ultimate Luxury! If you are a keen golfer, Belek area, now referred as "Turkish Riviera" , has amazing golf clubs such as National Golf Club. By staying at Cornelia you have 8-9 golf clubs within a 5 miles radius. My husband and his mates (very keen golfers) played at most of them (even on the day before and after the wedding) and liked them all very much! Opening iIn November 2006, Cornelia is having their own 27 hole Nick Faldo sginature Golf Club! The only thing I could fault the hotel for was the Russians! I am not saying this in a racist way at all but majority of the guests were Russian and hotel seemed to cater for them in terms of entertainment etc. so you did not get a multicultural feel....This was though back in 2004 and they were aiming to market the hotel in Europe and by the looks of the reviews, there are so many Brits visited recently. I think the reason why the hotel is not known in the Uk is that unfortunately most of the Brits think that Turkey is only Bodrum (dump) for a week for £299 inc flights! However, I think Cornelia has appeared in various prestigious brochures and seem to have more European guests staying. All in all, everybody in our party had a fantastic time, you must go too!
Very Impressed
Having used trip advisor a few times when deciding on a hotel I thought i would add a review having just been to the Cornelia Resort in Belek. All I can do is echo the great reviews this hotel gets. Now i am pretty fussy as far as hotels go and this one was hard to find too many faults with. The hotel is as close to 5* hotel a package holiday hotel can get, the rooms, lobby, resturants were all stylish and really well kept, it had a great feel to it. We had one major complaint but i will mention the good things 1st. Pools - are excellent, clean and did not smell of over powering chemicals like some hotel pools can, all the pools which are huge were cleaned every day. Around the pools there were plenty of sun loungers so no fights early morining reserving your chair for the day. Free clean towels easily avilable. Food - was pretty good but this was the only bit that was not quite 5* but it was a good 4*, the choice was very good and the seperate resturants (need to be booked a day in advance) ok. I recommend the oriental however the menu makes no sence e.g. if you order crispy duck you get a deep fried duck, if you order duck in orange you get duck with the pancakes etc which has no orange, ask the waiter what it is 1st as this resturant was by far the best there and the food excellent. Local wines and beers very good and a nice cocktail list. Staff - in the main nice, helpful and friendly although some looked like they would rather be somewhere else. Our biggest complaint and a huge word of warning to ALL parents!!!! Our son is 2 years old (kids club 4+) and we decided to take advantage of the babysittinng service for initally 1 hr to see how it went. This was arranged through the Guest Manager at a charge of 10 euros an hour and they use the staff who run the childrens club. When we dropped off our little boy they were not prepared and the children staff were not aware of the booking but they took him, 30mins later we found our little boy wandering ALONE near one of the pools having climbed a flight of stairs to find us. 5mins later his sitter came running up looking rather worried that she could not find him, suffice to say we lost the plot with the hotel management who were very responsive and seemed as concerned this could have happened as we were. The management did go out of their way to make the rest of our stay as nice as they could but we never used a child minder again. Location - the area is new for development and there is not huge amounts to do locally but the beach, Belek are all nice places and it does offer a relaxing break although i am not sure i could go there for 2 weeks, 1 week was perfect. Overall despite the babysitting experience we were really pleased with nearly every aspect of the holiday, we would return to this hotel which is not something we would normally do and if your going there your likely to have a great break.
Stylish but relaxed
We stayed at this all-inclusive resort for a week and although the entrance does not seem to introduce a 5* hotel (ugly tubes in all sorts of colours), the lobby of the main building is impressive. The pools are the biggest we have ever seen in a holiday resort and there is no lack of sunbeds or umbrellas. There are waterslides for the more adventurous and 4 bars, including one at the private hotel beach, were sunbeds and umbrellas are also provided. The hotel is super clean (the toilets are checked every hour) and the rooms comfortable with free in-room safe and mini bar. There is one large buffet restaurant and 4 free à la carte restaurants, which can be booked as many times as you like, providing you do this 1 day in advance. The staff provides un impeccable service and is very friendly. People looking for great night entertainment may be disappointed, but there is a nice disco. The drinks are all well-known brands, so no local varieties. I would say this hotel deserves 5* for its facilities and service, but only 4* for the food (the dinner buffet lacks variety). Overall an excellent choice if you want a quality holiday.
Wonderful
We returned on Monday 26th having spent a week in the hotel and I mean having spent a week in the hotel we did not go anywhere else. It was wonderful loved it can not fault it. The room we had was the biggest hotel room in all our travels with the robes and slippers. It was very clean with mini bar stocked every day. The Gym was good the sauna fantastic with garden view. The pools were very clean and never busy. The food in the special restaurants was top draw and worth booking a day in advance at the guest relations desk make sure you are there at about 0850 to ensure you get your booking otherwise they will fill up. We found being around the pool very hot although there was plenty of shade, down on the beach was ok. The best place for sun bathing was the pier that stretched out about 75 meters into the sea this was wonderful as the breeze was vey welcome with plenty of cushioned loungers and giant bean bags we spent alot of time there. You can also eat at another restaurant near the poolside villas away from the main building but still on the complex. Tennis Courts as well - this place had everything I can not fault any aspect and we will go back next year. 10 out of 10.
