This hotel was fantastic I went with my boyfriend we are mid twentys. The transfer from the airport is apprx 20 mins which was great. The hotel has the wow factor. We upgraded our room to a full sea view room, the view was amazing! Food was great, we managed to get booked in to the al carte places most evenings which was great, and we didn't even que as I heard that people were queing some times. Staff were great, pool was great food was great. I can't say much more, the best holiday I have been on! there was not many english, but enough to have a laugh about the rudeness of the germans!! entertainment was also fab!!

This place fantastic! Food is def all inclusive and any time of the day, what more can you want!
All the staff are friendly and helpful although I must say they hardly speak English more German and Russian but they do try!!!
Food is lovely, they have four A La Carte restaurants that's also included in All Inclusive and they really make an effort. All I can advise is DO NOT have the buffet food in the main restaurant unless you cant get into the A La Carte because there are so many people that touch food and put it back etc you don't know what is on it! Do not wash the strawberries in their water this made me ill, my bf did not wash it and he was fine!
Hotel is very clean and spotless. They will always offer you another drink if you have drank only half of your current drink but its free so I kept them coming. Hotel is on the beach and the sand gets very hot so put your flip flops on!
Only problem is that the area is not so close to the town for shopping you have to get taxi and they are not cheap so bring extra spare cash as Belek is a quiet but lovely resort.
I will be going back someday.
I recommend you book this place!!!

This was the second year running for...

This was the second year running for us at this hotel, and we plan to go again next year (says it all really). It really is a 5 star resort, which is so unusual considering it caters for all age ranges so well.
Our son who is now 5 loves it. The Kids Club guy remembered us second time around which was really nice, and all the staff made us feel at home and special. There really is nothing to fault - everything said in all the other reviews is totally correct.
In my view, Alternative Travel offers the better package (we went with First Choice in year 1) - the flight times were better, the cost was lower, and the service was better - champagne on arrival at the airport before getting your transfer etc.
Definitely got to be up at 9am to book your restaurant place as it does get busy - bit of a bun fight but you do get a table if you are there on time. However the main buffet restaurant is very good.
Loads of sunbeds and shaded areas, everything spotless, never had any problems with tummy bugs or dodgy food. Medical service is fantastic as our son was ill when we first went, and he was in a private hospital with a team of doctors within half an hour of us seeing the duty doctor - he only had a rash caused by too many strawberries but they took it very seriously!
Hope you enjoy it as much as we have.

We, my partner, my 6 year old...

Sep 2007, Ms P Evans

We, my partner, my 6 year old daughter and myself, stayed at the Cornelia for 2 weeks, last week in August, first week in September. The staff were very helpful and friendly unlike the Russian guests! They have obviously quickly forgotten the concept of "waiting their turn" either in the lifts or whilst queueing to book the various restaurants, which can be quite a pain. Get there early to avoid disappointment!
The food for the children was quite minimal of choice, so fussy children, beware! Plenty of drinks all day & night which was a god-send as some days the temperature hit around 46-48 degrees!!
The pools and slides were fantastic, try the game of "splash the poor unfortunate" as they walk past the slides, a lot of people were unaware that you could actually get drenched when walking to the beach from the "tidal wave" off the slide!!! Hilarious!!
We think that the part that let the hotel down were the 3 photographers that were everywhere, trying to take snaps of you, whether you liked it or not and they positioned the children in to poses that plenty of us that were staying there found quite inappropriate.
Other than that, its the nicest hotel I've been in, other than the fact that unlike the new "no smoking inside" law we have in this country, it doesn't apply over there, but there is a no smoking part to eat in the buffet style restaurant.
We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Having first posted a review in 2005...

Sep 2007, Mr L Wilson

Having first posted a review in 2005 after our first holiday at the Cornelia, and having just returned from our third year there; what can I say. The hotel is still excellent, spotlessly clean; food is excellent and never ending.
All the comments I made in 2005 still stand; however; one word of warning!!! Beware the Russians!!! They are physically pushy, rude and ignorant. They definitely do not understand the meaning of a queue and think they have to be first for everything! Greatest holiday thrill..... Beating them at rifle shooting and French bowls!!!
But seriously, if you are after a relaxing holiday where you need to spend no money within the hotel, want to eat as much as possible, or like a good drink with excellent entertainment, then the Cornelia is for you!

May 2007, Mr A Godden

We have just returned from our second stay at the Cornelia.
We have never returned to a hotel before, but we decided if it’s not broke don't mend it. The Cornelia is the best hotel we have ever stayed in.
The rooms are so spacious and spotlessly clean. The staff so attentive. The waiters even remembered our drinks order every night. Made us feel very special.
We met a couple on our first stay and arrange to go back this year at the same time and meet up with them again. We all had a fantastic time and will be there again next year.
The food, drinks and restaurants cannot be faulted.24 hr room service is a very good service. I don't think we will ever tire of this hotel. It really is everything you would expect from a 5 star hotel and more.
Don't take my word for it try it out for yourselves. You won't be disappointed, honest.

Mar 2007, bleatoid

Great hotel, great value (on our all inclusive deal), great faciltiies and rooms, and good beach location. All clean and well looked after - service is generally good and though little English is spoken you can get along just fine.
The meals are OK, though the buffet format can get a little tedious - we went in mid season so had a restricted choice of restaurants (which the brochures don't tell you). One piece of advice I would offer (and hence the rating of 7) is to avoid the spa / wellness facilities - which will be difficult as there are generally a pair of guys in white spa suits patrolling the lobby / bar areas (and the golf club) touting for business - they're very pushy - like timeshare salesmen.
We found that the service was very poor and very expensive. When you come to pay, even though they've asked for a room number when you book, you'll find they aren't part of the hotel at all so you can't book the charge to your room - and they're not too happy if you offer anything other than cash.
We had some friends with us that went on an excursion that included a trip to a proper Turkish bath - it was much better and way, way cheaper. I don't believe these guys at the hotel spa are properly trained or professionals at all - which is a tad worrying when they're all over your wife. Suggest you avoid them like the plague - but don't let that put you off the rest of the hotel.

I think I may have been sharing the Kir Royals with Classlady & partner last July on their honeymoon... thanks for the loan of the marmite!!
I have to agree with everything she says and I will be going back for my third year this September.
It is excellent value for money; the variety and availability are fantastic and the spa treatments superb!

Read all the reviews before we went...

Aug 2006, classlady

Read all the reviews before we went on honeymoon and they were right this hotel is one of the best I have ever stayed in we had upgraded to the junior suites and well worth it. We wanted a relaxing holiday but with entertainment if we wanted it.
If you want to be up for anything and on the go then I wouldn’t bother upgrading because the standard rooms are very nice in the main hotel. Our suite was very quiet all day till about 5 when the children or people came back to get ready for the evening. The cleanliness is superb and even though the staff don’t speak much English they love us so go out of their way to help.
There is also a guest relations team who speak good English and sort out any problem double quick. The food in main restaurant is very good with show cooing always hot and plenty of it, we tried the 4 other ones very good the one by the suites is classed as the fish which put people booking but its not all fish we had steak and lamb chops we used to have breakfast here as well as it an nice coming out our room straight to breakfast, cant comment on the animation team as didn’t join in with anything but by the sound of things people was having a good time.
Plenty of beds and mattresses it is 24 all inclusive with branded drinks we were drinking iced coffee with Baileys and kia royals and room service is very good you can literally eat and drink 24 hours a day. Would have loved to go back next year by. But first choice have no suites left 10/10 for everything.

Aug 2005, Mr L Wilson

Absolutely fantastic hotel. Levels of cleanliness, service and attention to detail were second to none. Superb location, beach is spotless and cleaned each night. Entertainment was excellent and not too intrusive. Plenty of restaurants offering a variety of choices to suit each taste. Food is plentiful and non-stop with tea and cakes; snacks and pancakes throughout the day. Rooms are tastefully furnished, spacious and cleaned every day with fresh linen.
Only complaint about this holiday is against the first choice rep who did not seem at all interested in helping customers outside of the basic duties, although the hotel staff more than compensated for this. Full marks for a superb holiday experience!

This has got to be the best hotel we...
10 / 10
Aug 2005, Mr J Pedley

This has got to be the best hotel we have ever stayed in and the first one that looked exactly like it did in the brochure.
Everything about it is quality, and the standard off cleanliness is exceptional, including sweeping and rolling the beach by hand at night !!!
All the staff went out of their way to make sure everything was okay and nothing was a problem.
The animation team always had something on the go for you to do.
There was no mad rush to get sun beds in the morning as there were always spare, and you could always go down the beach where there was also plenty.
The food was excellent quality and always fresh, the only thing that let it down slightly was the non smoking area in the main restaurant was tiny, they could do to make the dining areas totally non smoking, surely smokers could do without a cig for 1 hour.
Be prepared for bad manners by the Germans and eastern block countries who don’t seem to want to wait their turn to get food.
I would say if you want to eat in the Chinese restaurant be sure to be at guest relations by 0845 or you will probably not get in due to the limited spacing.
The shops in the hotel are very expensive.
We would have no hesitation in returning to this hotel again it certainly earns its 5* rating.

Jul 2005, Ms L Goold

Absolutely fantastic - it was everything the brochure and numerous websites said it was - the photos are accurate although for real the place is much better.....the mini club was brilliant a real safe secure environment we never once worried about 6 year old son he just did his own thing. It’s a very child friendly place and definitely caters for all ages from babies to the elderly. The rooms was brilliant, modern, clean, bright and airy and large. The staff were excellent, the hygiene and cleanliness was the best I have ever experienced. Entertainment just so much to do and so little time - ten pin bowling, snooker, martial arts, gym, swimming, games, volley ball, aerobics, pool games just loads.
Only criticism the First Choice rep was crap - she knew nothing of hotel other than “wow you lucky people in a 5*” but the hotel staff made up for her inabilities. Shame really to have a negative but then it wasn’t against the hotel!
Def go back looking at October!
