After reading the previous review I was a bit apprehensive about staying in the Radisson, however I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is in a quiet area within walking distance of most of the centre of Liverpool.
The staff were friendly but professional, the rooms are all on the outside of the building, so the central core is open up to the ceiling giving the hotel a modern feel. The bar and restaurant were fab too, the breakfast was high quality as well. The rooms are clean and of a good size the beds were big enough for me and I have a king size at home!
The Gym/spa is in an a separate entrance and isn't huge but when we went we were all alone which was good.
All in all a good 4* hotel.

Where does one start? The leisure facilities are a JOKE - you have to go down, to go up to go down to the pool. That is after you have gone either past a drafty front door or even outside to only go in the 'Trades man's' entrance.
The pool and spa water is cold and the ambiance and relaxation factor are nil/zero. Make sure if you ask for a King Size that you get one as there are only 3 king beds in the whole of the hotel, apparently? If you have a complaint and expect it to be satisfied forget it - staff collude and communicate with each other in secrecy and never openly with the customer - this I thought was now 'best practice' for all reputable hoteliers?
I would strongly recommend that you view all reviews related to this hotel before you book as, even though this is the first, there will be many more to come. Especially before 2008?

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights on business in November 07 and had a great experience.
The hotel was superbly furnished with all the modern facilities. It was just a ten minute walk to the centre of Liverpool which was ideal for my needs. The staff were very professional and helpful.
The rooms were immaculate and with good decoration. I had a full English breakfast on both days delivered to my room and I must say this is one of the best breakfasts I have had!
The only negative point was that I had a couple of drinks in the hotel bar which were very experience. But all in all an excellent stay and I would use this hotel for any future visits to Liverpool.
