Campanile Liverpool Hotel

This hotel is an absolute joke!
The woman on the front desk did not have a clue how to use her computer properly as a result she never found our rooms she found one of them. The rooms were small, the bathroom smelt of urine, the window was broken - the bottom latch was gone. During the first night around 3am there was a loud knock on the door, I shot out of the bed and the person still wanted to get in, he went away for 15 minutes then came back. My children were traumatized by these happenings.
The next day got a call at nine in the morning (New Year’s Day) to tell me that she found the other rooms she didn't even apologize.
That morning we went to breakfast; the breakfast was £6.50. It was buffet, they also gave you a full English. The waitress got three people from my table’s order wrong. The breakfast was absolute rubbish.
The second night was also rough, the heating system was on and off for the night.
There was a different chef on the next day so we thought we would try lunch there, the chef was under alot of stress because his equipment was not working. The food was dire.
We drank in the pub that night; there was a choice of three beers and one wine.
We drank a couple of bottles a wine between 5 of us, we ordered another bottle of the same wine, and somehow the wine was a different colour - I complained. The barman was French and he did not know what going on. (he reminded of Manuel out of Fawlty Towers!).
On the last day just before leaving I over heard the chef listing meals off the menu and saying that he does not have the ingredients. He listed at least ten meals.
This hotel does not have proper facilities for children. The service is a disgrace. The cleaners barge into your rooms. Do yourselves a favour do not stay in this hotel.
