I stayed in this hotel for a week from 20-27 October, with my daughter, the weather was fantastic 28-30 degrees every day. We arrived around 12.00 noon to be told we couldn't check in until 14.00 but that we could sit in the lounge and have a drink, at 12.30 we asked if we... more

The hotel was clean and of a high standard. Unfortunately the room was tiny and a family of four sharing one tiny room was not ideal, there was no choice for a larger room on booking through the Cosmos website even though the hotel had larger rooms. The food was good with a... more

Best 2 weeks ever
Hotel is fantastic, had such a great time along with the rest of my family. The hotels maintenance is super. the food is great, lots of different types to try from. The pools are lovely, a 2 second walk to the sea which is lovely and clear, the water sports is awesome had great experiences on the banana boats, jet skis and parasailing. The Animation team is incredible, they are going nonstop, all day entertaining the guest with games water games all sorts, then the evening, the shows are amazing the dancing is fantastic, and for the animation team to do everything and then rehearse til early hours of the morning is pretty incredible. I have made soo many friends from this holiday and was the only holiday i have been in tears about leaving. And lastly I would recommend this hotel to anyone it was lovely. And you will deffinatly see me in the future!! And i would just like to say a big hello to EFE lots of love x. xxx
Belvil is Simply the best see you in 2008. Kay,Colin and Bronte. Glasgow
This is our thrid visit to Belvil and will not be our last. It is the best place we have ever visited (and we have been to many countries and many top class hotels) but this beats them all. It is wonderful. We went in July last year and then again in October and yet again this summer, (we just cant keep away, its so good.) I dont really know were to start with my praise for this hotel, so i will start with the food. It is amazing, there is something for everyone in the buffet and it is soo clean in the restaurant and fresh food is being put out all the time. It was both my nephews birthdays whilst we were on holiday and they were treated so well and made to feel so special. They both had beautiful cakes, (with their names on) and everyone sang to them. They were also taken up on stage my Mehmet (from the childrens club) and given a certificate and sang to again. It was so special for them,. they both said it was their best birthdays ever. There are also restaurants which you have got to book in a morning to have a meal in them that night and yet again they are really really nice and the food is delicious.90% of the hotel staff speak English and even the ones who didnt ,understood you. They are all so friendly and helpful. The hotel is stunning and its grounds are so well looked after, its amazing. It is such a beautiful hotel. The bungalows are also perfect, ours over looked the beach, perfect location and they are cleaned every day. They are spotless, so are the pools, beach bar and pool bar.So are all the toilets.(They are cleaned all day long and even at night.) Now i need to tell you about the amazing entertainment team they have at Belvil. They make the hotel what it is, they are fantastic and the reason we keep going back. (We thought last years holiday couldnt be beat, but it was! Because this year was just the dream holiday.) We were two famlies. My sister in law's family, which has two boys ages 10 and 8 and my family in which i have a 13 year old daughter and it doesnt matter what their ages are there is something for everyone. The childrens club is for up to the age of twelve and they all childrens entertainment team speak English. They do so many different activities for the children, they love it. It is very well organised and your children are so very safe . My nephews loved it. The staff are all brlliant. Then there is the teen club. My daughter had a ball at this. At first she was too shy to go but with the encouragement of Ilker and Timoore, the teen reps she went and she loved it. Yet again this was because of the entertainment team. They even managed to get her in a dancing show, which they put on at night and it was brilliant. Well done to Ibrahim who spent hours teaching them the dances. Talking about shows. WELL! The dance shows at night were amazing so professional. They were so entertaining. The dancers are so talented and also very beautiful, they are great to see, they practise and practise to make the shows so perfect. They also have sketch nights which are so funny, they are great. The kids love them. During the day there is always something to do (if you want to) and if you dont then you just laze around the pool or the beach, but if you join in with the games, its so much fun and there are so many different games they play. The entertainment team excel here. They work so hard to make your holiday just perfect and you have so much fun with them. A special mention to my special friends Yana, Efe, Deniz, Gurkan, Ilkor,Gamza and of course Mehmet. Also a special mention to the "CHIEFS" as they call them. (The bosses) Boris,(The main man) Hakan, Ibrahim and Joya (She runs the kids club, and is excellent) They make sure everything runs smoothly and work very hard also and they are brilliant. They are so friendly and always have time for you. Well Done! You have a great team. You make it work so well. When you go and meet all these wonderful people you will know why they are all so special to all of us. The whole team is special. I wish i could name them all because they all deserve it but i think this is going to be the longest review ever written as it is, i could go on praising them forever, because they are wonderful and you really should go, its so worth it. They made my families holiday, "simply the best." See you all next year at Belvil, I hope, as it wouldnt be the same without you all.
Fantastic 2 weeks in Turkey
We had a fantastic 2 weeks at this great resort hotel. It is all-inclusive and the quality and choice of food was brilliant. There was food available virtually all day and drinks 24/7 (including free mini-bar) - I recommend the Turkish pancakes. I even put on 4kgs!! One possible downside was that the juices were all artifical and too sweet (don't worry, the iced drinks and beers are ok). The decor and layout or the resort was excellent - very clean and well-maintained - they do seem to waste a lot of water keeping things green, though. The staff were on the most part friendly and helpful, especially the kids club staff. The kids club was good, although the language barrier might put kids off to begin with. The only negative issue was that English is NOT the second language and we sometimes had diffuculty communicating - easier if you speak German or Russian! What more can I say, but that I definately recommend this resort.
Fantastic
My family has just spent a fantastic two weeks at this hotel. The hotel, grounds and rooms are spotlessly clean. The food was fantastic, in both the buffet and the five a la carte restaurants, and there is food of some type available 24 hours a day. The spa, although a bit pricey, offers the most fabulous treatments. I had the best swedish massage that I have ever had. The animation staff run a great kids club and put on very professional shows every night. Here are some handy tips- 1. You have to queue and book at 8 am to reserve the a la carte restaurants for that night. 2. You have to put your towels down at 8 am to get the loungers you want. 3. The pool where the flumes are is more peaceful to sunbathe. 4. Most of the staff don't speak good english but are friendly. 5. Take euros as everything is priced in euros. They do except lira and dollars though. 6. The hotel shops are very expensive. Nivea suntan lotion was £18 a bottle!! 7. The villa rooms are small with small balconies and the bathrooms are small but they were clean. All in all we had the most relaxing holiday that we have ever had and will definitely be going back.
great family holiday
Have just come back from a week here. We had a great time. We travelled with Cosmos and all went smoothly and the rep at the hotel, Andrea, was friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and well kept. We had a 'bungalow' room for 4 - this was a double bed, single bed and a chair bed. The room was adequate in size (as we only slept / washed in it!) and the roommaid serviced the room every day and changed the sheets once during our week stay - it was kept lovely and clean. The food was very good, lots of choice but did get alittle boring as repeatative by the end of the week. Pancakes, cakes and doughnuts servived throughout the day - all fab! and plentiful fruit at all times - especially melon, plums and cherries - gorgeous. Swimming pool clean and always plenty of room to swim and play and we always found a sun bed - here or on the beach. They provide you with beach towels. We found all the staff friendly and keen to try their english out - all be it some not so good as others. The entertainment team did a great job too day and night. We went on a jeep safari to the mountains - ggod but not for young children as not much for them and went shopping to Side - wouldn't bother going there - very touristy and same shops over and over again. A great time had by all of us at the hotel for a relaxing holiday and we would return.
Wonderful absolutely loved it.
I have just returned from this fabulous hotel and I want to be back there. The food is amazing if anyone can find any faults I would like to meet them. The animation team never stop they are full of energy and enthusiasm that it just rubs off on you. Their shows are extremely professional although it is tiresome when they have to explain it in 5 different languages. A lot has been said about the Russian and German guests but I found the French to be the most abrupt. The staff in reception, the bars, and the restaurant are all willing to try and speak English and nothing is too much trouble. The bedroom was large with a double bed and a single bed. The air conditioning was a welcome relief from the unbelievably high temperatures 46 one day!!. The only down side was our Rep, Jeff (MY Travel)I found him to be unkempt and his presentation was abrupt to say the least. If this is all that they can employ then the salary must be very low. We did not even have a Rep take us to the hotel we were just dumped on the coach at the airport. This thankfully did not detract from an absolutely fantastic holiday and I would have no qualms in recommending it to anyone.
Fab Holiday Papillon Belvil
We went on holiday here in the middle of June 2007, and what a fab time we had, the hotel food is great plenty of variety even for the kids. Swimming pools were great always clean and plenty of sunbeds available. The staff were great there was always someone around and they were really helpful, the kids entertainers were really good speaking 5 different languages. The room was spotless cleaned every day without fail. The only problem we had was the other visitors at the Hotel they were mainly from Russia, Ukraine etc and we found them very rude, there was only three or so other english couples when we were there. But saying that I would still go back. I would highly recommend this Hotel to couples or families.
Amazing time!
Writing this review a bit late after returning but thought i must mention to anyone considering visiting the Papillion Belvil to do it! My partner and I had just moved house and wanted to relax in the sun with some good food and entertainment, we couldn't have asked for more from this hotel. We went for a week but could easily have stayed longer! The hotel itself is lovely, very spacious and clean with a number of staff always on hand to help- the majority of whom spoke great English. The pool areas are great for families- the one with the slide did keep the kids occupied meaning that around the main pool it wasn't too busy- great for couples chillaxing with a book! The food was amazing the main buffet had so much choice- i don't eat gluten and could always find something tasty- my personal favs were the grilled fresh fish and chickens. Not to mention copious amounts of fruit and desserts. Drinks were on tap- watch out for the vodka measures- it’ll hit you the next day! The a la carte restaurants were also lovely- as we went in early may only 2 were open the Chinese and Italian- definitely worth booking in for! Overall i would give the Papillion Belvil two big thumbs up for couples- and for families, the animation team did a sterling job keeping the kids (and big kids) entertained!
amazing :)
well designed hotel area and warm hospitality were the first effect of spending time at belvil. Thanks alot to all departments and specially to the entertainment team. That place is suitable for each member of my family.
A Great Time (Surprisingly)
Just returned from Papillon after 2 weeks there. Holiday started quite bad (all my fault), got badly sunburnt. Didn't realise the rays were so fierce. With such bad burns I wasn't in the holiday mood at all. That brought my wife and son down and by the 5th day we were on the internet trying to get flights home. We were blaming the area for my problems. As soon as I was feeling able to venture out again Papillon and Turkey started to look totally different, and by the end of the hol there were tears about leaving. I wont go on about the first week of our stay as I said the sunburn stopped our holiday, so I will start with week 2. Most of the staff (90%+) spoke good English, and were very welcoming, the other 10% were mainly new and were trying to understand. Some of the staff were a good laugh, Sadrah (Jack) in the lobby bar mostly had me in stitches. Memhet in the pool bar remembered my drink every time and Kadeer who was everywhere always had a smile and a drink waiting for me when he saw me. I have never stayed at an all inclusive where the bar staff were so happy and efficient. The hotel itself was spotlessly clean including the rooms which were cleaned daily, not just sheets etc but hoovered and polished as well as the mini bar being refilled everyday. The furniture in the rooms and around the hotel was good quality and well looked after. The Other Guests. It is true that the majority of "Other Guests" are Russian, but you can turn this into a laugh:- They out number the Germans so they are a lot quieter than usual. The 1980's seem to be popular at home and the Russians have embraced the 80's with haircuts and fashion harking back to the days of Rick Astley and Sinitta. Everyone seemed okay though, there were no all male parties, mostly young families. The pools and activities were fantastic. The biggest pool with the waterfall has tons of sun-loungers around and a water polo pitch on one side, which I played for the first time with 5 foreigners (French German Dutch etc) against 7 Russians and we won. It was like the football match in The Great Escape. This was arrange by one of the (Famous) Animation team. What ever you have heard about the animation team by others on these pages don't believe it! Times there good words by 10 and you will be half near to the good things these young guys do. The hotel is great but the animation team put the icing on there cake. Energetic, fun, professional, friendly, I can't say too much because they were truly great. You do have to see them in action to believe what they do in a day, every day. After entertaining people all day with sports activities from 9:00am, rehearsing shows, joining guest for lunch and dinner, putting on a kids disco 8:30-9:00pm a show worthy of the west end till 10:30 and then perhaps a beach party till midnight. I couldn't even keep up with them and I was on holiday relaxing! A special thanks from me to" MEMO", who looked after my son and took him swimming and football when I couldn't because of my burns. Totally selfless, Thanks. Locally there is not a lot to do. Most things are a cab ride away (very expensive). The nearest village Kadriye (12euro return) is full of shops selling fake clothing. You can get an English newspaper and there are 2 pharmacies, post office (PTT) and a tour company (Lets Go Travel). The tour company are very cheap and very nice. We went on 2 tours with them and we got good discounts on already cheap prices. On both tours the police pulled us over to check papers and insurance and we checked out okay which was re-assuring as we were told some companies run with no insurance to save money. Ask for Habeeb or Mehmet, both good guys who lobe the English and will look after you. I asked about a hire car for a couple of days and they were a third of the price quoted at the hotel. All in all we had a great time and will be back next year. If you are booked and waiting to go, chill out, relax and look forward to a great holiday.
