Have now been contacted by the director and has requested a meeting, I explained that I was after no more than a great venue for future brides and grooms and to enjoy the start of their new lives.
Toilet seats on floor, urine covered floor, beer smelling of sewage, carpets taped with duct tape, sausages rewarmed at breakfast and wine at £7.70 a glass. Paint pealing off walls.
We will meet the director and let you know the outcome. 25.05.08

We married here when chorus group owned it and was a great place to have a reception and wedding, but three years on and my daughters wedding at the same venue was a string of bad management and a careless attitude to the paying clients.
Beware of this venue and tour the place before you decide to sign on the dotted line because its not good at all and since i complained no action has been taken to speak to me on thier behalf.
Just a few points to get to grips with.
Carpet to alter point worn out and lifted with staff having to pull on 4 times.
Beer smelling of sewage (NO LIES)
Hall paint hanging off walls and ceilings
Stair carpets to rooms covered in black duct tape
PRICES ARE JUST RIP OFF and i think this company are taking the P*** at £7.70 for a glass of standard white wine. VERY BAD VERY BAD RIP OFF

What a dreadful experience. Please do not stay there unless you are absolutely desperate.
We initally checked in at 11am, our room was not ready and we were due at arrive at a friends wedding at 12 noon so we left all our luggage in the managers office ready for our return,
At 11.45pm we arrived back at the hotel and were left waiting 10 mins to be then told they had given our room away. At this point we asked to speak to the GM who merely laughed at the situation!!!!! He then he would transfer us to another hotel when asked where it was he said he didn't have a clue. As we had no other choice we had to transfer to another hotel 20 mins away.
Once taxi's had been sorted it was past 1am before we arrived, upon arriving they didn't even have a reservation for us. We then had to call the GM at the Potters Heron who wasn't available and again had to wait. It was then 1.45am before we had setted in our room.
There was never even an apology from the supposed GM of which i will be taking this matter up with H/O.
Please please do not stay there unless you are absolutely desperate as i really would not want anybody to go through the same scenario we were subject to, with a baby in tow also it was disgusting!
I would also like to point out members of my family stayed there and a number of them have been rather ill since our arrival home.
