allthough it is stated as a 4 star i doubt that this is in fact a 3 star.old furnishings and decorators take up thr room and stair wells during the day,? why not the night.....however the food was nice.but the reception staff never thought so as they were eating a macdonalds,and you could smell it as well,classy reception.the day porter had no idea of where we could go to for a nice quite drink,that was close by as he never drank,again class act and in the wrong job we thought.the night guys were far more helpful and polite witty and on the ball.the night head porter has excellent knowledge of every watering hole and restaurant.and directed us to some amazing places.and got us in for free,so check him out if your going to go to the hotel,i think his name was pete.he and his porters made the stay the 4 star that this hotel is supposed to be.ideal location,good food,some staff have the 4 star standard,the rest i wouldnt ant to see in a cafe

fantastic hotel ,location and staff.dont listen to others views.foos is great,staff friendly.night staff were wonderful,helpful and friendly.but very proffesional.had a great time and look forward to the next visit

Whilst the hotel lived up to its four stars rating, I felt it lacked certain friendliness and the bars especially were very rarely used.
Before going to Bournemouth I had expected to find a place frequented mainly by the older generation, but it has certainly lost that, is now a place where the nightlife thrives.
The re many lovely places see, not least the winter gardens, here, although in the middle of the city, offered a peaceful place to relax and enjoy people "watching.”
The shows on offer were many and varied the fairly new conference centre was thriving with people moving in all directions.

was worried a little due to lots of neg reviews,but we thought wed give it a go due to the good location reports.it deff is not a 4 star as the staff dont seem to care to much with the exception of the night staff who seem to go out of there way to help.and are polite all the tiime asking if we were ok and needed anything.the day people just lounge about chatting and laughing with each other,one was even chatting up a reception girl.lol.but it was a good local spot for the town
