We arrived at Casa Estrelicia and our first thought was we had found our little peace of heaven. It felt like we were in the middle of nowhere even though the main road with quite a number of lovely restaurants was only a 5- 10 minute drive away.
The view was amazing, all the way to the sea which was about a 40 minutes drive. We spent a fantastic two weeks here with our 2 year old who could make as much noise as she wanted without upsetting anyone and because we had a car we could go out and about, (one of the best places being zoomarine!) It is not somewhere to go for a busy nightlife or if you like a very active holiday.
We had great weather for the whole holiday the only problem being the pool was a bit too cold so didn’t get much use! Also the road to the villa is very unmade so would recommend upgrading the car as we were quite concerned the Fiat Panda we got given might fall apart by the end of two weeks. Also if you are in anyway nervous about roads with very big drops off the edge it might be worth taken a mild sedative before venturing out anywhere!
The villa is so well equipped with everything you need for a holiday, no need to take towels as loads are provided and the welcome pack has everything you need for the first 24 hours including bread, margarine, English tea bags and coffee plus ham, cheese and fruit etc. If your not bothered about what books you might want to read there are a number of books available.
Overall it was a fantastic holiday and we are already planning on going back next year!
