The Plough and Harrow Hotel

I have stayed at the Plough and Harrow for around 8 nights over the last month and rate it excellent in many ways. As other reviews have said the bedrooms are showing a bit of age but nonetheless are spotlessly clean. A change of ownership in the last week has already resulted in a much improved breakfast menu - not that there was a problem with the quality of the more limited offering previously. I certainly get the feeling that the new owner is absolutely committed to restoring the P & H to its former glory as one of the best places to stay in Brum. Service from all staff is excellent - probably the most genuinely friendly and accommodating staff you will find in any hotel. The location is great for a night out in nearby Broad Street - just 10 minutes stroll down the road. (I'll be back again next week but hope to see a few more people at breakfast....!)
