The Adora was a three star trying to...

Oct 2008, Mr A MOORE

The Adora was a three star trying to be a five star, in most areas!! It caters more for the Russians, Romanians. And very little for the Brits.Cheap quality drinks, cheap and repetative food. Apart form the night of the Tuskish celebrations. where the turkish were well looked after.I gave up trying to get food in amongst some 800 other people.
It is a very isolated place, with expensive shops, who have a captured market.
I was there with my wife, daughter, grand daughter, and son in law.Everyone had sickness and diaorea.which lasted 3/4 days.
Needless to say i will not be returning.

Wouldn't consider it to be a 'True'...

Jan 2007, Mrs D Tom

Wouldn't consider it to be a 'True' 5* hotel. Although it was extremely clean.
Found my husband had to get down to the pool at 6.30 in order to secure a sun bed!
Unfortunately the restaurant is outside, which makes it unpleasant to eat in the heat. The food is geared towards the Germans & Russians, fine if you like that cuisine.
My younger daughter enjoyed the Thomas cook entertainment, although we had booked through cosmos. The 'entertainment' was geared towards the children in the evening.
The hotel lacks in facilities for teenage children.
The Adora is situated miles from anywhere, so you are totally stuck in the hotel. The shopping is a nightmare, unless you are happy to haggle all night.

This resort is very much geared around Germans, and after 2 weeks listening to drunk German people REALLY annoys you!
The food is Very repetitive and by the end you will never want to see rice or pasta again. However the entertainment is OK and the activities are quite good. If you’re a woman and if you have blonde hair prepare yourself! You will be approached ALL the time by sometimes over friendly men.

You get quite bored by the end because you are watching the same entertainment by the same people every night and you’re at the same bars too. I would not go here again for two weeks.

What a wonderful hotel!! Fantastic...

Dec 2005, Miss NJ W

What a wonderful hotel!! Fantastic reps, weather, activities, DRINKS!! The Thomas Cook reps were fantastic and a total credit to the hotel.
The food was varied but maybe should have changed a little more, however it was always delicious. The night-time entertainment was good, the disco was great and the 24 hour bar invaluable! No problem with Germans as we can speak the language, however some Russians were a little rude.
No need to reserve sunbeds, there were plenty, the sea was lovely and warm!! The ice cream is delicious, also the Turkish beer!! Recommend a Turkish bath which was amazing! An amazing holiday which beat much more expensive trips!! Fantastic!

Fantastic complex hotel room very clean.
Choice of food excellent plenty of variety on a weekly basis gets a bit monotonous by the end of a fortnight but the standard and quality of the cuisine is outstanding. Plenty of daily activities by the pool and on the beach, the pool is tremendous with a fantastic waterslide.
One draw back to the complex is that you need to reserve your sunbed by 7 o’clock in the morning or you will be without, lots of Germans taking them very early. Entertainment in the evenings very basic with the reps performing nightly, poor at times.
I would have no problem in returning to this hotel and complex.

The Adora Golf is of excellent...
3 / 10
Mar 2005, Miss A Andrews

The Adora Golf is of excellent standard by appearance, but is let down by various features.
The food was very repetitive, and unless you like pasta or rice with your meal most nights, you are out of luck. The food was cold almost every night, and was not the 5 star all inclusive food you would expect.
The hotel is completely geared around Germans. All the entertainment (when there was any!) was geared around Germans, and when a lot of the German guests departed, the entertainment became even less!
Perhaps the travel agents should explain that the hotel is focused on Germans so you know what to expect.
It is a shame that the hotel does not cater for out of season guests - the facilities were not available, including the outdoor pool ( it was empty even though the weather was hot!).
The hotel boasts some fantastic surroundings but needs to concentrate on English people enjoying their holiday as well as Germans... the Pound is as good as the Deutchmark or Euro!
The cleanliness and staff were excellent, however my main complaint is that of one particular member of staff that manned the ‘sports bar’. He was rude, arrogant, refused soft drinks to the children and often refused coffee because ‘the bar was closing in a hour’!. This was a let down on the other staff that had been so kind and friendly.
We have been to Turkey many times in different resorts, however unfortunately will be unlikely to return again in light of our recent trip.
Adora Golf- be as impressive inside as well as outside!

Very nice Hotel, kept clean whilst I...

Nov 2004, Not Specified

Very nice Hotel, kept clean whilst I was there anyway.
German is the main language used, most struggle with English. The whole area is geared for the German.
Room not as expected but suitable, though if they want you to remember to use the solid paper bin instead of the toilet, I would suggest a reminder sign.
br />
The MAID SERVICE was ok, though they have a funny way of making beds!
FOOD/MEALS a very good selection though if you’re expecting to have a hot meal, forget it, and roast potatoes are served cold! Plenty of meal times so as long as you’re in the hotel there’s no need to go hungry. The WAITERS are very good, they will bring you a drink of almost any kind, at any time during your meal, though ORANGE JUICE 5 Euro’s per glass.
OUTDOOR POOLS DIRTY, Indoor pool is Hot (unlike the roast potatoes) not as one would expect for swimming in.
24 hour bar for any one wishing to be a drunkard.
My BIGGEST COMPLAINT about the Hotel was that they took off the activities programme the main thing I was attracted to the place for, 'Archery'. With a lame excuse of 'it’s too cold & wet', it only rained once during one night, as for the cold I was wearing a tee-shirt, as there was a slight breeze.
THOSE wanting to see the area around the hotel, there’s a BUS SERVICE outside the gates of the hotel. BUT be warned the taxi drivers will swarm you offering cheap rides to your destination. The bus should you actually decide to ride it is more comfortable than the plane was, BUT you may have to change buses up to 3 or even 4 times before getting on your travels to the destination, they won’t go if the bus isn't full so they take you to the next bus at the next hotel. Though the cost is only 5 Euros to Side Return. All GOOD FUN.
Be warned of any side trips offered whilst on the bus, whether they’re free or not, they take valuable time off your outing and a waist of time unless you want to spend many hundreds of E’s $’s £’s or T l’s on leather or Jewellery. REMEMBER THIS, ALL BUSES WILL LEAVE YOU STRANDED IF YOU’RE LATE FOR THE RETURN PICK-UP TIME

Can thoroughly recommend the Adora...
9 / 10
Oct 2004, Mr DA Terron

Can thoroughly recommend the Adora Golf Resort.
Only five per cent - according to Rep - are British but we found that no hindrance to an excellent holiday. Sun beds and chairs around pool and on beach were plentiful, no need to reserve at all.
There were no queues for drinks or food and both plentiful and an extremely varied selection. The Pool Bar stayed open with ‘free’ drinks all night.
An upgrade to the Panoramic Block is well worth the extra although the Club Rooms are more than OK.
Local buses depart from outside the gate every fifteen minutes and cheap - one euro return to local town - and also go to Side and Antalya despite what Reps. tell you. Use the local buses rather than organised tours, apart from excellent value they go to the centre of towns and you are not obliged to visit shops and factories selected by Reps, who obviously get commission!
We found everyone most helpful and pleasant. The weather throughout the latter half of October was very hot and sunny. A most enjoyable and relaxing holiday despite playing no golf!
