Novotel Birmingham Airport Hotel

Flying in from Spain to the UK on a late flight usually means an over night stay before continuing to my destination. I have stayed at the Novotel several times over the past 4 years and it never fails to keep the same excellent standards. Check in and out is swift, efficient staff who are pleasant. Rooms are clean and designed well. Restaurant is good. Or you can eat at the airport - choice of several places. We stayed at the Novotel Birmingham Airport for one night in a standard room. We paid £69 for the room on a room only prepaid basis. (Breakfast is £13.95 each) we did not have breakfast. The best thing about this hotel is it's location to the airport. It is opposite the airport arrivals and departures and takes about I minute to get to departures entrance. In a very convenient location situated across the road from the two terminals at Birmingham airport. A monorail transports you between the terminals/hotel and the train station, a very short distance away. The hotel itself is slightly old but almost entirely modernised. There is a 24 hour bar and restaurant on the ground floor. The rooms are decent, but you notice that its actually quite an old hotel which they have recently updated - although maybe slightly cheaped out on the upgrade. The Novotel is as other reviews have said - 2 minutes walk and your in terminal 1, 2 more and you can see the check in desks for terminal 2, the parking is close by. Multi story parking although convienient for the hotel was £34.00 for me and that was for 38 hours. The rooms are of the new layout, if you travel in europe you will have seen the large TV's and swing out desk. Stayed here as a surprise from my boyfriends mum as a early birthday present. We were flying out to Edinburgh in the afternoon. When we arrived at the hotel we couldnt believe how close it was to the airport! Completely opposite to terminal two which is very handy! Walked into the hotel and is has a very modern clean look. We had an enforced stay overnight in Birmingham thanks to FLY 'may' BE cancelling our original flight with 2 weeks notice. We've 2 toddlers and weren't very excited about staying overnight on our way to Australia but from the moment we checked in we were very impressed - cuddly toys for the kids. good sized clean rooms and good quality room service food. Stayed at Novotel in December as we were going to see a show at the NEC and then flying out to Frankfurt the next day. The hotel was so handy - right opposite terminal 1, we were able to have a meal before the show at the airport, we caught the monorail straight to NEC & back again after the show and then had a late drink in the hotel bar. Breakfast in the airport next morning & then on to our flight. Our room was fine, more than adequate for our needs and we wouldn't hesitate to stop again as it is so convenient.

We used this hotel because of an early flight. The rooms are clean and comfortable and are of a good size. We treated ourselves to the TV package and relaxed in our room with some room service. The food is a very good for a hotel of this standard. We would highly recommend this hotel for anyone who has an early flight from Birmingham. Check in early and relax

Like most, stayed on night here before an early am flight out of Birmingham. As others stated, you are right at the hotel, and walk to the hotel from the terminal. Room had a modern decor to it, separate water closet. TV had about a dozen choices, including non-English choices. Nice LCD tv. Internet, movies, etc can be purchased as a combo for 20 Sterling. have stayed here several times simply because it is so close to the airport.rooms are ok and clean .a big plus is that they have excellent media facilities with movies ,tv broadband etc.i never try breakfast and overall if it was not so close to the terminal i probably would not choose this hotel
