Holiday Inn Birmingham Airport Hotel Reviews

Stayed at the Holiday Inn at Birmingham Airport before our holiday, left the car whilst we were away & stayed again on our return from holiday.
The cost for two nights’ hotel accommodation & parking for 17 nights in my opinion, & in comparison to other hotels nearby, was extremely reasonable. A free shuttle bus to the airport is provided –although it is not 24 hours.
The hotel is deceiving from the outside – as we pulled up I thought oh no…. but once inside it is a very modern, clean hotel with all you would expect from a Holiday Inn.
Birmingham city centre also is easily accessible from the hotel as is Solihull.
I would happily recommend this hotel to other travellers & would not hesitate to stay again if using Birmingham airport.

Never travelled from Birmingham Airport before so decided to book at the Holiday Inn as I had managed to get a great holiday deal.
The advantage with this hotel is that you can stay in the room for a night and then have 14 days parking at the hotel which to me was excellent value. It worked really well as there is a shuttle bus that takes you to the airport and it ran on time so we had a very smooth start to the holiday.
The rooms are very clean and spacious and they have all the relevant amenities to make your stay pleasant. Had a drink in the bar and the staff were very friendly which was nice. It was a great atmosphere.
Staying here really does take the hassle away (driving at silly hours) and it saves you on the airport parking fees. Try it, you wont be disappointed.

An excellent, comfortable place to stay near to Birmingham Airport, often with offers including parking with the room.
The hotel runs a shuttle bus to the airport, however this only ran in the mornings and evenings, so we had to get a taxi on our way back as we arrived at mid day. The fare was only £5 however.
The hotel has a bar, which it seemed to us with hindsight would have been a better place to eat dinner, as the restaurant was very quiet - it is always rather disconcerting when there are only two people in for dinner. However, the restaurant does offer good deals for early dining. The starter and main course (from the set menu) were excellent, but the desert let the side down a bit; it looked and tasted microwaved.
The rooms are very comfortable, providing a good night's rest before a morning flight, recommended.

It did not disappoint - the room was a good size, the bed was definitely a double even though I only needed a single, and all the usual facilities were there - tea coffee, hairdryer - although not a trouser press as you sometimes find in hotels.
I liked the fact that you needed to use your key card to get into your corridor as well as your room (I assume it would not work on other corridors, I did not check) for the extra security that provides. I also found the key card worked first time - unlike some places where I have tried several times then had to go back to reception for a recoded one.
The only disturbance I had was the sound of the extractor fans in others' bathrooms in the middle of the night - but I suppose there is little that can be done about small noises like that. Otherwise, it was a very peaceful night.
The breakfast was good - ample there to choose from, and no sense of rush. It was more relaxed having it in the bar area, with staff moving around removing plates and topping up the supplies than the more formal breakfast times I have met in other hotels. This to me felt more acceptable for a family to come to with younger children as well as people there on business.
My one issue would be with the website to actually book the place - there are a lot of menus to choose from and it can be a little confusing to know if you are locating a hotel, or not.
Apart from that, the booking process went well, with both email and written confirmation being sent at my request. They even do a follow up survey on your stay for quality checking - which I think is good.
I would definitely stay there again.
