I came to this hotel as a single 30 years old belgian man and it was not a good idea.
First of all, i do not understand why people says that it is a fantastic hotel. It seems that they didn’t compare with the surrounding hotels.
Food is good but nothing special in comparison with other hotels.
Beach is not good and it was dangerous to swim. This cannot be considered as a beach. Some square meters of sand directly followed by a steep slope of stones. Because of the slope, the waves were big. In the sea, there are at some places big rocks that makes swimming dangerous. While I swam on the back, I struck a rock with my head.
The name “turquoise” is a joke. The water has never been this colour. It was rather dirty with a lot of algae.
Surprisingly, beaches from surrounding hotels are much bigger. Maybe the hotel is build on a rock.
I had to complain about the attitude of the security staff. While i was talking and drinking a cocktail with two women they asked me aggressively to stand up because to sit on the grass in front of women is not a correct attitude! It seems even that to look to women could bring you problems in this hotel! They where really not cool with me. They clearly try to discourage men who try to meet women. I would rename this hotel as “ puritan hotel”. But on the other hand, some of the Turkish staff were trying to pick up some women and even touching them. It seems that they consider some of them as fringe benefits.
There was a noisy outdoor discothèque on the beach from neighbor hotel (voyage sorgun). You undergo the noise until 2 o’ clock in the night but you cannot go there because it’s not your hotel!
This hotel is good only for families with little kids. The only positive point i saw is that because the hotel was not full there where plenty of free deckchairs.
If you are young and without children, do not go to this hotel, you will make a depression. You will be frustrated for almost everything (beach, disco, social…)

We have just returned from a week at Hotel Turquoise in Side. We were transported to our room at 1am and were in a lakeside luxurious apartment so I told porter this was the wrong room but he was adamant it was ours - at 3am we had a knock on the door to say it wasnt our room and we had to move the next morning!! Imagine that very poor service - the compensation they offered was a free safety deposit box for the week (20euro whoopee!!) being a big mistake by them and after we had unpacked this wasnt the perfect start to our holiday. The food is brill and we had an 8year old who ate most things there - you have the usual people pushing in (you know which country I mean!!) but it wasnt too bad. The slide pool was really good with a lifeguard on duty most times. Entertainment on an evening was fabulous and all credit to the team who worked very hard. The hotel staff spoke very poor english and I know you have to respect you are in a different country however when it is tourism they expect you would think there english would be better. The sea was very rocky and hardly worth a mention! plus the beach very small and pebbly. Poor location of hotel also I thought having to catch a bus into Side. Hotel itself is massive and very clean so no faults here at all. Rooms were adequate and very well cleaned. Plenty of choice of drinks and food was 24 hours. Dont take beach towels as you get them free. Everything is priced in euro and we took lira so beware as they charged you differently with lira everywhere you went.

Second time at the hotel, having stayed in 2008 and prior to that with friends at their villa in Ovacik. This year, had a family room as we took our 14 yr old daughter. Also stayed half board for a change.
Overall a great hotel. Excellent service from reception through bar and restaurant staff, even the pool entertainers - tehre are no language problems.
The rooms are large enough (we had a double and 2 single beds) with TV (BBC world, CNN etc) and fridge - use this to keep your own water / drinks cool.
The pool is great, but you will have to get up aroudn 8 - 8.30 to secure your favourite sun lounger. We were there over half term and there were adequate lungers / parasols for everyone.
Personally, I'm not that hot on some of the evening entertainment (1 night was Bingo / Karaoke) but the Turkish night was good. Unlike many hotels, its not Karaoke every night and finishes at a reasonable hour so you can sleep.
Food is fine - remember this is local food so don't expect English food and younger children may not like the local dishses (a lot of green stuff :) ). Drinks are reasonably priced and a large beer is cheaper than most bars in the town. Although half board, we didn't eat in the hotel every evening - if we did I think the food could get a little repetative, but the cost for half board for the week was equivilant to one large meal in town so it still worked out cheaper thn eating out each night.
Would recommend for a flop and drop holiday or families wanting sun and a bit of everything.
- Holiday Date:May 2009
- Advice: Olu Deniz is very commercial - if eating go somewhere off the main street as its cheaper
- Activities: Check out Cin Bal restaurant in Kaya village for a great BBQ evening - £25 for complete meal for 3

I have to say first time to turkey and what a holiday already booked to go july 09 again, fantastic hotel, outstanding food, good evening entrtainment and great people. When we arrived at night we were told that the family rooms had all been booked up but they were quick to give us an alternative room, and what a room, it was part of the lakeside complex with flat screen TV's in each room, our own swimming pool and sun loungers brill. Not many british here but it made a nice change.Recommend you book a turkish bath in the spa before you get a suntan otherwise it'll take it all off if you go later in your holiday. Also going all inclusive entitles you to eat in each of the 4 a la carte resturaunts although you do have to book the day before. Can't wait to go again this summer.

just come back, what can i say well the weather was fantastic and the hotel was brilliant. The food was so so and u had to contend with germans and russians pushing in front of u. The staff were all friendly and went out of there way to help u ,but on our first day my son cut his self and needed stiches when a went to see the manager he was nt intrested. overall it was a good holiday and i would go back, but would have been better if their had been more brits.

All I can say is go!!! You will not regret it my husband & I have just returned after 2 weeks all-in & can't wait to return. We are regular holiday makers (twice yearly at least)
and always go all inclusive normally with our 2 children. This was our first trip without them as they are now teenagers (happy to stay at home) so off we went.....
From the time we arrived at the hotel we were impressed 5o'clock in the morning and a
fresh sandwich was waiting for us in our room which was situated in one of the blocks in the middle of the pine forest. This made for a very peaceful and idylic location. We found that because we were sheltered by the trees our room was always nice and cool and we had no need for our air-conditioning dispite temperatures reaching 75 outside!!
The hotel is mixed nationality with minority being british but all staff speak english and there is no favourtism at serving times (not like some previous hotels we've been too)with every one getting served very quickly at the bars and in the restaurants where there is waiter service at lunch & dinner. The food is superb deffinately 5* with plenty of choice including freshly cooked dishes by the chefs on display in the evenings. The cleanliness is second to none everywhere, dishes, glasses, etc are cleared away as soon as they are empty and finished with. The staff are all extremely friendly and there is plenty of them which adds up to the excellent service you get at all times in the entertainment team alone there are 20 and they do what they can to ensure you have a great time with the normal daily activity schedule which runs for approximately 5-6 hours per day no pressure to join in though(again not like some other hotels we've been to). The evening entertainment was varied with some good professional shows but mostly put on by the animation team which was watchable but not to everyones taste but they deserve a 10/10 for effort deffinately.
Just one more thing the hotel information is a bit out of date and doesn't seem to mention there is now another 4/5 pools which are based between the blocks in the pine forest with plenty of sunshine and complete peace we used to go to the bar up there for an hour a day and you could have a pool to yourself if you wanted one at any time of day....
Again do not hesitate to go you will have the most peaceful, relaxing and if there's only the 2 of you the most romantic break you will probably ever have....

Excellent hotel, smiling friendly staff who for the majority couldn't do enough for you, rooms clean. Brit's were in the minority but this didn't cause any concerns. Getting a sun lounger in a good position was sometimes a pain in the mornings and an early towel run was needed.
Food very good and varied as were the drinks, entertainment very good, the animation teams were always up for fun! Bar staff at the Sultans bar in the evening a bit choosy & moody as to who they wanted to serve but that was the only real issue for me.
I'd certainly recommend a trip into Side (taxi 6 euros) - very beautiful and the shops were fun - sometimes annoying but fun!
I'd certainly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Stayed at the Turquoise Hotel in Sept of 2006 for 1 week AI, the very best Turkish hotel I have stayed in.
There were very few Brits, mainly German & Russian but no problems at all. We couldn't fault the place.
Everything has already been said I'm just adding my backing for an absolutely fantastic hotel.
If you’re debating booking the Turquoise go for it, you won't be disappointed.

Without a doubt one of the finest hotels my wife and I have had the pleasure of visiting.
Quality, well equipped and maintained accommodation. Excellent selection of food, wonderful pool side relaxation areas and superb beach location.
The staff do everything possible to make your holiday special. Evening entertainment if you choose, or plenty of quiet places to relax with friends.
The international mix of guests help to make this hotel stand out from the crowd. The area is easy to enjoy using local low cost taxis or buses.
The walk along the beach to Side is not to be missed. We will definitely return.
The Five star rating is well deserved, if you want to be spoiled in immaculate surroundings by a truly friendly people, this is the place to go.

Great resort. Food was quality, room and people. The Animators made the holiday funny and more enjoyable. We met people there which made it even better.
Night life in the resort was awesome because of the animators’ shows. Also the disco at night and the way you can sit till 3 at night drinking. Great place and I would definitely go again.

we have just returned fron turquoise hotel, today 15.7.11, there was 6 mixed sex adults age ranging from 47-65, it was excellent, food was plentiful and varied, drinks were available 24 hours, two movie channel on tv in bedroom plus loads more programmes, no problems with sun loungers, however recommend you go by the ones on the beach side, alittle cooler due to the sea breeze, staff very polite and friendly, table service excellent, very clean and spacious, beautiful landscaped gardens, air con available all day, entertainmentr every night, we were there for one week and there was two different live bands along with shows in the ampitheatre and one session of bingo only. Nice walk to side along the beach about 25minutes, nice bars overlooking the sea, turkish people were very friendly and accomodating. I wanted to write this review as I holiday quite often and have been most impressed by this hotel, please go and you will not be disappointed, promise.
