What a fantastic organised and safe hotel to have the pleasure of 2 weeks.
I traveled with my wife and son (12) and daughter (10) there is always something going on to keep them busy.
The food is fantastic in the restaurants but beware to book stright away you only get in if you book a week in advance.
The main restaurant offeres something different every day but if that something is not for you the selection is varied but eventualy you crave your favourite meal from home.
The staff are friendly and create a relaxed but fun atmosphere
Family rooms are great or superior are sufficient. They do have some very small rooms with french balcony which is more like a window with bars to stop you falling out. Be carefull to book to right room and you will have a great holiday.

My wife and i stayed here for a week in june 2009 . we were blown away with this place . we were a bit sceptical at first, having never been to turkey before. but let me tell you , everything from location , cleanliness , the food , the entertainment , friendliness of staff etc etc was spot on . we have just been to italy for my brothers wedding so unfortunately we havent been back to the perrisia this year . however , we have booked up to go again , next june , and believe me , i cannot wait. congratulations to all at this hotel for its brilliance .

Well i said we would come back here again last year and we did. We got the same feeling again as soon as we walked through the door, but this time we brought our daughter,son-in-law and grandchildren. they loved it and vow to come back next year. Some people there made this holiday a bit special the waiter by the name of FEDZI he helped us with medication for our grandaughter. Ashkin who worked in the jewelers, hes a friend of ours for life.I could point out a few more but go there you will see for yourself. Personaly i would come here every year, maybe i will

We stayed at the Perissia for my best friends wedding in May 2009, we had the best holiday we've ever had. The hotel is outstanding, the food is outstanding and we will definately be visiting again next year. The rooms are of a very high standard (we had a superior room), the hotel and surroundings are spotless. The staff are all very friendly, and love children. The wedding was perfect and went without a hitch (although don't go to the hairdressers, they are very slow, or if you do go allow at least three hours!). I love this hotel and never thought I'd visit the same hotel again but this hotel was perfect.
Only minus points are; Germans pinch the sunbeds and don't sit on them until the afternoon. Don't like to stereotype but it is true!!

Just came back from Perissia (the first time here) what a holiday we had.The wife and i have had the best holiday ever and we have been going abroad since 1997.The animation team worked very hard and believe me they were brilliant. The entertainment borders on postcard humour doesnt suit everyone but i enjoyed it and as far as i know everyone there loved it.The meals was great apart for breakfast no baked beans or real sausage but plenty of eggs and cereal. The waiters and waitresses, bar staff and cleaners were always on the go.The hotel has everything you could want it has Chineese-Turkish-Italian-fish a beach resturant and the main resturant. Its got a gym a cinema ,indoor swiming pool as well as 4 outdoor pools, table tennis, tennis court, pool tables. It also has a 24 hour bar plus 3 other bars but all resturants have got there own bars.We are hoping to go there again next year sometime looking forward to it

Perissia - April 2009

Hi. We have returned today from a week in the Paloma Perissia (also known as Sentido Perissia) hotel, Side, Turkey and will try and give a honest and objective review.
The Hotel is approximately 1 hours drive by coach from the airport. We had a late flight both ways (in and out of Turkey) and although initially seemed daunting, flying at night, it worked very well as there were no queues and each time we went though quickly with no problems or queues. I would definetly consider travelling late evening in the future.
Once at the hotel - the surrounding area is a little "rough", but dont be put off. The outside of the hotel is not as "glamourous" as other hotels in the area, but again, dont be put off. Once inside the hotel, it was "stunning" - absolutely beautiful. You will be checked in and "bell boys" take your luggage and deliver to the room. The rooms and hotel facilities are as shown on the Thomas cook and other websites and it really is lovely. In my opinion, the hotel is definely 5 stars in regards to overseas accomdation, and is most definely the best standard of accomodation I have ever stayed in on overseas holidays.
The staff and facilities are great. The beach is clean and sea, crystal clear. Beach towels are provided, so no need to take your own. In April, some of the facilities were limited or not opened. These included a few bars and restaurants, but there were still plenty of areas to access food and drinks. The restaurant is very nice and there is a wide variety of food - but after a few days, it is very repetitive and any food not used up will appear next day in a curry, strogonoff or salad! There are 3 Al-a-Carte restaurants; Chinese, Italian and Turkish. You have to book at least 24 hours in advance and they get booked very quickly, so my tip is to book for the restaurants on your first day. We only managed to get into the Chinese and Italian. The food was just ok, but the ambience of the Chinese restaurant was fantastic. It made a nice change to eating in the buffet restaurant at nights.
There is a variety of entertainment available including billiards, table tennis, darts (supervised by an entertainment rep), french bowls (on the beach), and a cinema. There was no poolside activities, but that could just be due to being there in April.
There was a couple of negatives as follows:
We booked our holiday on a half board basis but when we got to the hotel, realised it was more cost effective to upgrade to half board - which we did for 15 euro's per person, per day. It worked out to be great value as upgrading meant we could have lunch, afternoon tea and all drinks. Once we were all inclusive, we found out, along with all other all inclusive guests that there are 2 grades of all inclusive - these are Green Bands all inclusive and pink bands ultra all inclusive. Having a green band, which most people have, did not allow you to have icecream, room service or imported alcohol. This was a bone of contention with many guests, and the hotel does not allow anyone to upgrade to pink band ultra all inclusive as this is only available at the time of booking (and it seems that it was only available in Germany - as the company is owned by germans).
Secondly, If you are half board (white band), please beware that if you use the drinks facilities in the minibar or tea/coffee in the room, you will be charged. The hotel does not tell you this, and you will have big bill at the end of your visit. The Thomas cook rep told us at the welcome meeting.
Third - request plenty of towels as the shower leaks very badly and the floor becomes very slippy.

The entertaiment was just ok. It is run by an inhouse team (not Thomas Cook). The shows were "amateur" standard and in my opinion, not of suitable for family entertainment as they were a little "sexually overt" in nature. Some people walked out and complained bitterly, but others loved it and thought it was hillarious.
The hotel is "huge" and easy to get lost. There is lots of walking to get around as well as lots of steps, but there are also lots of lifts available.
The hotel is very very very clean. I have never seen cleaner toilets, or seen them being cleaned so often throughout the day.
There were a few honeymooners in the hotel. If you are on honeymoon, make sure you inform the reception and Thomas Cook as you should get an upgrade. Some friends we met were on honeymoon and were upgraded from a Superior room to a Honeymoon Suite. They took me to have a look and it was jawdroppingly georgeous, with stunning view, private balacony with sun loungers, private jacuzzi etc. They also got flowers and champagne.
If you have booked this hotel, i am sure you will not be disappointed. I did not hear one person complaining about the service or hotel. Most complaints were about Thomas Cook reps.
You can walk into Side from the hotel. It takes about 45 - 60 minutes along the beach.
We had a wonderful holiday at the hotel and I am sure you will too.

Back again to the Perissia with much...

Back again to the Perissia with much expectations as we had a fantastic holiday the year before minus room problems.
Once again this year we paid for a superior room with a sea view (Thomas cook sent email clarification on this) and got a ground floor room that was poor. manage to recitify this however on the last day they wanted us to vacate our room 3 hours early for another customer and pay for another room that smelt musty and damp.
The real disappointment this year was the entertainment team. They walked around like guests and had no real interest in what they were doing. the evening entertainment was embarrassing to watch until we complained like 5 others that week and they outsourced the entertainment and was fantastic.
The escape disco was a farce having to serve your own drinks and was not advertised as this was the staffs 2 hour smoke break. they would refuse to put on music, change tracks stating September is for old people and im having a cig and will do what I want when finished.
The food was not as good this year either however the Chinese were excellent. I seemed to gain the impression that many reasons for lapse in quality were down to the staff not being as happy and working all hours.
The beach restaurant must have had a problem with there dishwasher as on 3 occasions picking food off the plate to make the plate look clean to eat on. last year not one person complained of stomach problems but this year at least 10 couples we spoke to had irritations during there stay including myself and my partner.
Paloma is overrated as a 5 star and feel that it should be made clear it is a 4 star hotel with 5 star decals. It is time for the Paloma to have a rethink and for them to use the facilities they have onsite. Was going to book this next year but not so sure now.

this was our first time in Turkey!! it was our honeymoon so we wanted it to be special - and i am pleased to say it definatley lived up to our high expectations. the hotel is so clean and the staff go out of their way to help you, though one or two of them struggled a little bit with their english but muddled through. The food is very good and it is a place we will most certainly be going to in the future. the entertainment team where excellent and every night had a different theme. it was great.

What can I say? absolutely fantastic, very hot. My husband and I( we are in our mid 50's) have stayed in a lot of hotels in a lot of countries over the years and I can honestly say that this hotel is the best. The food, service, cleanliness, on a superb beach, the rooms are spotless. The only down side is that towels appear on the sun loungers around the pools some time in the dead of night, but there are plenty of loungers to be had on the beach, which is swept and rolled flat every night, amazing. It is an hours steady walk along the beach to Side or a 7 euro taxi ride, plenty to see and do there, Cleopatra's monument is lovely, went to a show in the Amphitheatre, wonderful. Definately would go again!
