Back again to the Perissia with much expectations as we had a fantastic holiday the year before minus room problems.

Once again this year we paid for a superior room with a sea view (Thomas cook sent email clarification on this) and got a ground floor room that was poor. manage to recitify this however on the last day they wanted us to vacate our room 3 hours early for another customer and pay for another room that smelt musty and damp.

The real disappointment this year was the entertainment team. They walked around like guests and had no real interest in what they were doing. the evening entertainment was embarrassing to watch until we complained like 5 others that week and they outsourced the entertainment and was fantastic.

The escape disco was a farce having to serve your own drinks and was not advertised as this was the staffs 2 hour smoke break. they would refuse to put on music, change tracks stating September is for old people and im having a cig and will do what I want when finished.

The food was not as good this year either however the Chinese were excellent. I seemed to gain the impression that many reasons for lapse in quality were down to the staff not being as happy and working all hours.

The beach restaurant must have had a problem with there dishwasher as on 3 occasions picking food off the plate to make the plate look clean to eat on. last year not one person complained of stomach problems but this year at least 10 couples we spoke to had irritations during there stay including myself and my partner.

Paloma is overrated as a 5 star and feel that it should be made clear it is a 4 star hotel with 5 star decals. It is time for the Paloma to have a rethink and for them to use the facilities they have onsite. Was going to book this next year but not so sure now.

this was our first time in Turkey!! it was our honeymoon so we wanted it to be special - and i am pleased to say it definatley lived up to our high expectations. the hotel is so clean and the staff go out of their way to help you, though one or two of them struggled a little bit with their english but muddled through. The food is very good and it is a place we will most certainly be going to in the future. the entertainment team where excellent and every night had a different theme. it was great.

What can I say? absolutely fantastic, very hot. My husband and I( we are in our mid 50's) have stayed in a lot of hotels in a lot of countries over the years and I can honestly say that this hotel is the best. The food, service, cleanliness, on a superb beach, the rooms are spotless. The only down side is that towels appear on the sun loungers around the pools some time in the dead of night, but there are plenty of loungers to be had on the beach, which is swept and rolled flat every night, amazing. It is an hours steady walk along the beach to Side or a 7 euro taxi ride, plenty to see and do there, Cleopatra's monument is lovely, went to a show in the Amphitheatre, wonderful. Definately would go again!

Just truly 100% excellent! I don’t even know where to begin with this! You know the ITV sitcom Benidorm? Well, think the ENTIRE OPPOSITE! We went for a week on 25th September and although nicely busy I don’t think it was full to capacity, which and the weather was awesome!

The hotel itself is just amazing and huge; you need an entire week just to explore it all! It’s spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and offers more seating areas and tables and sofas and all sorts that you could possibly ever need!

On arrival the reception are is quite breath taking, with views of the sea, the pool, a huge tall ceiling, very impressive chandelier and the friendliest most welcoming staff ever!

The corridors, lifts and rooms are just so clean and tidy and very welcoming, there is also, fortunately, plenty of signage too to direct you round the vast hotel!

We were lucky enough to get upgraded to a suite on the 8th floor and we couldn’t have asked for more…HUGE bed, entire lounge area, balcony with sea views and loungers, two TV’s (mainly German channels to be fair) and a gorgeous bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath!

The food was absolutely faultless. You can’t even begin to imagine the choice there is and I literally wouldn’t have time to write about it all! As this is a very international hotel there are cuisines to suit every nation and every single person, if your fussy, on a diet or just not big into food there will always be loads for you, and, if you’re like me and eat and enjoy everything then don’t expect to fit into the same clothes you wore on your journey out there. We didn’t!! So tasty, so much choice and always different. That’s the great thing, never the same thing two days in a row, and all fresh (the bread is made in front of you at lunchtime, as are the omelettes at breakfast! The fish and meat is grilled in front of you too so you benefit from the delicious smells too!).

They never run out of food and there is never a queue, the most we had to wait was about a minute for a fried egg!

The A La Carts were just amazing too, we had Chinese, Italian, Turkish and Seafood….mmmmm. So good! No problem booking them either like some people have said about other hotels.

The pools were just spotless, honestly I don’t know how they did it, not even a fly on the surface or a leaf bobbing around, which even with all the delicious palm trees and surrounding gardens was am amazing achievement!

There are so many loungers we never went without and with new beach towels every day and mattresses it was just brilliant! The beach is part of the complex and again offers more loungers and umbrellas that you could possibly need and the beach gorgeous and the sea so warm and just amazingly clear! We did parasailing (for the bargain price of 40 euro for 2) and we could see turtles in the sea it was so clear!) There are bunches of rocks though in the sea, but all smooth and not pointy or horrible, so don’t let that put you off!

The staff are just brilliant, so friendly and so helpful it’s just great, they do speak better German than English (and yes its true to some extant that the Germans are favoured slightly about the British or other guests but honestly it doesn’t matter!) but we never had any problems being understood. Some of the staff were just fantastic and the animation team work so flipping hard and are truly wonderful! Even if like me you don’t want to do beach volleyball or belly dancing classes you will all watch, and thoroughly enjoy, the evening shows I can guarantee!!

There is so much more I can talk about but I will leave it to you to find out for yourself!

All in all not one single negative comment about this place, only that I wish we’d stayed 2 weeks! If you stayed longer you would probably want to explore Side maybe spend a night in the town, but in the seven days we were there we didn’t ONCE leave the complex…you didn’t have to and we didn’t want to! 10/10 amazing!

Wow! Wow! Wow! What a wonderful 2 week holiday myself, my husband and our 9 year old daughter have just had at the Perissia.

Like everyone else it has been a fab experience to have been treated so well. The staff were excellent, the food excellent, the animation team excellent, daily stocked minibar in rooms, rooms very clean and maid service everyday with towels changed daily if you wish.

The hotel have a photographer that takes lovely photos (but can be expensive). Our first all inclusive holiday was in Fuerteventura and we said never again the food was awful, but this hotel has changed our minds if only all hotels were of this standard.

WELL DONE PERISSIA a 5 star rating well deserved - Please keep up the high standards... We will be back

An excellent hotel with fantastic gardens and 3 large swimming pools. The levels of hygiene were far higher than my wife and I expected, not having stopped in Turkey before.

We had a first class holiday and the weather was excellent for the time of year, with the exception one a thunder storm one day.

Local buses were cheap and easy to use and most people were friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed the first class hotel entertainment, in particular the evening show outside.

The la carte restaurants provided a variety of food, but the service in the Chinese restaurant left a lot to be desired.

This is certainly one hotel I would recommend to all my friends and family.

Just returned after one week at the "Perissia" Hotel Side Turkey, wish it had been longer!

First time to Turkey and all inclusive, would definitely recommend to anybody thinking of this type of holiday albeit we were sceptical.

From the moment we arrived at reception, the staff could not have been more helpful, attentive, and friendly. If anything it got better!

The room was spacious and clean. Restaurants and bars, what do you say, out of this world even for one of us who is extremely fussy about food! There was something available all the time for any dietary requirements. Staff and restaurants and bars were always attentive and could not do enough for you.

The hotel has several large swimming pools plus a kids area, as well as a private beach area with bar. Gardens and surroundings were kept immaculate at all times.

Activities, there was always something to do, "The Animation Team" went out of their way to entertain you not just in the evening but during the day with events such as water volleyball, water aerobics, yoga, gymnastics and belly dancing classes! All were available if you required but you were not forced to join in.

Evening - they really excelled with their live shows, we do not normally indulge in events like this however, we were pleasantly surprised that to the extent that after the first few days we found ourselves looking forward to the daily show. We cannot praise them enough for their efforts.

We did not venture too far from the hotel but did go into Side a couple of times which is a must for all historians as well as visiting the nearby market which is held on a Monday and Thursday.

There is a health centre where you can have various treatments as well as the traditional Turkish Bath - a must for all as well as the body peel and massage (the body peel costs a bit extra - the Turkish Bath is free). There is also a sauna.

The Perissia has everything to offer for a great holiday and more and we would highly recommend this for a first time visit to Turkey - we will be returning to Turkey and this resort.

Definitely recommend this Hotel and Resort which we booked via Thomas Cook.

It was "Perfect Perissia".

Our 1st time in Turkey and what a holiday to remember. 5 star treatment from the minute you step off the coach.

Brilliant hotel, immaculately clean. Our room had a French balcony complete with patio furniture.

The room had a mini bar, tea and coffee and kettle, both replenished daily. Bathroom came with hairdryer and two fluffy white bathrobes.

Hotel has several restaurants all serving excellent 5 star food, with very friendly staff and great sense of humours. Afternoon teas served daily with a selection of homemade cakes and gateau.

Pools although only 1 in use was immaculate supplied with ample sun loungers and parasols.

Indoor pool open and free use of Turkish baths and saunas.

Lovely walk along the beach to Side town or if you are feeling less adventurous you can get the local bus for euro.

Wonderful, romantic place, faultless hotel, well worth a return visit.

Highly recommended.

My husband & I went on a two week holiday in May this year (2007). This was by far the best holiday we have ever had.

The hotel is fabulous and deserves more than its five stars. The rooms are lovely, the cleanliness of hotel, pool areas etc is next to none (maybe because it’s mostly German) it doesn't matter it is something else.

The staff on the whole were so helpful, pleasant, and willing to please. The entertainment team worked their socks off from morning to night and a different show every night.

The food is to die for both at lunchtime and dinner in the evening, so many choices and all beautifully prepared.

The three pools are superb and the guy at the towel cabin is lovely and very helpful. He even brings cool towels around 4pm to the poolside for you to cool yourself down.

There is stacks to do from 10 in the morning till after midnight. Side is a short distance away, very nice but typically Turkish.

Would go back to this hotel in a heartbeat.

Being a travel agent I get to see when bargains pop up, the only reason I booked this holiday was due to price! For the holiday for 2 people all inclusive for 7nights I paid £330.

I booked 5* allocated on arrival. When we arrived at Antalya airport the Thomas Cook rep told us where we would be staying and I was instantly happy!!

As we entered the hotel we knew we was going to be in luxury we didn’t have 1 fault with the hotel it was stunning!

The only down side was the amount of Germans at the hotel but we didn’t care. As we went in December we knew the weather wasn’t going to be to good so didn’t take and swimwear etc only for the indoor pool but on 3 out of the 7 days the weather was lovely around 25degrees and many people were actually sunbathing.

The hotel is on the beach front and just a short walk away from bars restaurants and shops, the town of side is just a short dolmus ride away or a quick taxi journey this is where the ruins are.

The food at the hotel was lovely was something different every day and was always hot and fresh. As for the drinks it was brilliant as it is a 24hour all inclusive property so you could drink however much you want. If you got thirsty in the middle of the night you only had to pop to the 24hr bar! Was no good for me I was pregnant but partner took full advantage, just be careful with the imported drinks as these you have to pay for

Overall a fantastic holiday but as you can probably guess no bargains like that have come up since.

Absolutely fantastic! Fantastic!

This is what a holiday should be from leaving Manchester we where waited on 24hrs a day everyday. The staff where wonderful & nothing was too much even the most minor detail was perfected by them. The hotel cleanliness was excellent. Food was excellent & it was like dining at a top restaurant, the waiters couldn't do enough for you. Our room was beautiful & we had maid service everyday.

The entertainment in the evening was a little low-key & sometimes a little bit more catered for the Germans but saying that we still enjoyed it. There was plenty for kids to do from morn till night.

The hotel is right on the beach & offers some beautiful views & there’s plenty to do & see in the surrounding area of side a must see is the Roman ruins.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough to you. It really is true value for money.

We went here as a couple. Originally booked 4* hotel but then got free upgrade. We found the hotel to be absolutely wonderful.

Location was good, food really good, all restaurant and bar staff friendly and helpful and entertainment team full of fun especially Anka. Yes there were a lot of Germans but they were not a problem, some were actually quite nice!

I would agree that a lot of the entertainment was aimed at the German visitors which is why i have given 9 out of 10. Would definitely go here again.
