Kings Beach Hotel Reviews
We stayed in one of the 2 bedroom villas in the complex. It was wonderful, very clean well furnished.
The pool was super and the pool bars was good.
We had a very good 10 days; the resort of St Peter is very true of Barbados and lets you see how wonderful the local people are.
Please, when you go to Barbados do not spend all your time in these all inclusive hotels - see the real Barbados and meet the Bajan people
1st class accommodation and staff.

Stayed here twice now, happy with the facilities, villas very clean, pool also very clean, the pool bar is open at convenient times.
Good selection of cocktails, very helpful bar staff, as are the cleaning staff and reception staff.
Two minute drive to Speightstown and ten minute drive to Holetown, where there are good supermarkets.
Fantastic night at Mannies bar on Mullins beach, 1 minute drive from villas, Monday night Mannequin show, men dressed as women, singing Beyonce, Abba etc.
Quiet location, villas very private, good security. Must visit!

This villa is great clean and has aircon in all the bed rooms. The maids are in every 2 days but will do anything for you if you ask them. The pool is very clean and so is the furniture around the pool.
All the staff are friendly and very helpful and will do any thing for you as well.
Down on the beach to the left of the hotel is a locals house, Barney who owns the house dose water sports, fishing and diving and will give you very good deals on the prices. If you cant find his house just ask any local and they will point you where he lives.
All in all the holiday was brilliant we are even going back in November.

We didn’t book here we were out loaded from the almond beach village.
Built in 1988 this hotel is tired and does not appear to have been updated since then, rooms had basic furnishings, painted wood furniture, no beverage facilities or hairdryer(ask at reception for this -ours had a broken plug stuck together with clear tape!), chargeable safe and no fridge. Holes in bedspreads. Parts of hotel were falling apart - window shutters on 1st floor.
Food was buffet for breakfast and evening meal, bar service for lunch. Buffet was very limited and hot food not kept to UK standards of temperature when can burners underneath containers expired. Grounds were well kept and the chairs, beds towels were as elsewhere and the weather applies to all resorts. Little on site to occupy, one table tennis table, snorkel and canoes were there though. Night time entertainment limited - the thought did cross my mind that if they make it dull then you'll go out and so their all inclusive drinks bill goes down. Gotcha!
Still if all you want to do is laze, don't care about the basic room facilities, and can entertain yourself then this place will suit you fine. Indeed quite a few there liked it, not me though! I'd paid for and expected much better and eventually got back to the village. Problems there too but miles better than the kings beach.

To say this accommodation is some of the best I have stayed in is it. The whole place and staff was quality. Nothing was too much trouble.
The beaches along the coast from the hotel were super. Having swum with turtles courtesy of barny and his fantastic boat Chelsea B a 25 B$ 2hour trip we were then told a 10 min walk to the right of the beach and a 50 meter swim and we could have found our own turtles!
Add all this to living very cheap bottles of good rum 10 Bajun super fish, at a fifth of what you pay at home. Needless to say we will visit again.

It is not easy to score 10 in my eyes. The village consists of villas across the road from the main Kings Beach hotel with its own facilities and large pool. The villas are brand new with excellent amenities. Access to the beach and associated water sports etc is via the hotel over the road. There are lots to do in nearby Speightstown 5 mins by bus cost BBD1.50 each or Holetown 10 mins by bus.

There are several reasonably priced excellent food establishments nearby including some frequented by famous names. The staff make the hotel and they are very friendly and cannot do enough for you. The locals you meet on the beach or next door at the Surf and Lime bar are also colourful and friendly. The complex is very family orientated so read into that what you will but our family had the best family holiday ever according to my difficult to please sometimes .. daughters!! <br>

Standard stuff for a Spanish style 1988 build. We got married here in August and paid a pretty sum for the marriage package!
Basic rooms, not over clean, sanitationaly clean but rough and tired decor, needs a massive overhaul.
Their website has recently shut down so I guess there may be a refurb and re-launch going on. Hope so!
Lovely location, nice outside, nice grounds and pool/beach - shame about the restaurant and food (not bad food just OK) dined at The Lonestar alot.

Very tired rooms inclusive of fixtures and fittings, but particularly the linen of any description. Possibly 2 star, but at a real push. Its only saving grace was the great staff. We were ripped off !

I would advise doing a lot of research before booking anywhere in Barbados as the accommodation seems to vary widely after discussing our problems with other tourists.

Rooms need an update. Food sometimes adequate often cold. Cocktails good and David - the barman is great! The beach is small but very nearby are some of the best beaches on the island.
I would think twice before staying here again. We got a last minute deal so it wasn’t too costly. If I’d paid full price I would be unhappy.
We stayed at the Casuarina Beach last July 04 on a room only basis and liked this better. Eating out in Barbados is quite expensive in Restaurants though.

Located here after being rescued from Hurricane Ivan on Grenada in 2004. Staff didn't want us at the hotel from the start. Rude staff, naf food, dirty rooms. Even the toilet overflowed at one point. No Joke! Surprised it's still running as a hotel. Should be a refuge to the homeless. You've been warned.
