This is the second time I've stayed at La Cite and once again had a fab time. The reception staff Janet and Gerry are lovely, friendly, helpful and genuienly nice people. They treat you like part of the family!!!! The rooms are perfect, nicely decorated and modern. They room are cleaned on a daily basis with towels and sheets changed every 2-3 days. The pool area is clean and idea to cool off in the scorching temperatures! I will most definitely be visting again and would recommend the hotel to everyone!

Although not luxurious, La Cite is a fabulous bargain. Only a few minutes from the Square and all that Lixouri has to offer, this modest, but spotlessly clean hotel provides all that you need. It's a small business, so you get to know the staff very quickly - and they cannot do enough for you. Lixouri itself is authentically Greek and thankfully lacks the hoards of tourists found elsewhere in the Med. It is rare to find other Brits, or any other nationality for that matter, in the town. Indeed, in the small, well - stocked supermarket, you will find yourself alongside no-one else other than the locals. This hotel and town are highly recommended to anyone who wants to get to know the real Ionian Islands amd is not looking for 5 * luxury.
